  • This invention relates to a carton with overlapped base panels and to a blank for forming the carton. More specifically, the invention relates to a wrap-around carton in which the base panels are overlapped and secured together by a single punch lock.

Claims (7)

  1. Schachtel, umfassend erste und zweite überlappende Wandflächen (20, 12), die jeweils mit sich gegenseitig in Eingriff nehmenden erhabenen und hohlen Durchstoßverriegelungslaschen (38, 40a) bereit gestellt sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Schachtel ferner Ausrichtungsmittel zum Erleichtern der Ausrichtung der Verriegelungslaschen (38, 40a) während des Wandflächenverriegelungsprozesses umfasst, wobei die Ausrichtungsmittel eine Zunge (42) umfassen, die von einer Endkante der ersten Wandfläche (20) absteht, sowie ein Paar von Klappen (50, 52), die in einer beabstandeten Anordnung gelenkig an einer Endkante der zweiten Wandfläche (12) angebracht sind, wobei jede der gelenkig angebrachten Klappen (50, 52) unter der Endkante der ersten Wandfläche (20) liegt, und zwar eine auf jeder Seite der abstehenden Zunge (42).
  2. Schachtel nach Anspruch 1, wobei die zweite Wandfläche (12) über der Zunge (42) angeordnet ist, während die gelenkig angebrachten Klappen (50, 52) unter der ersten Wandfläche (20) in In-Eingriffnahme mit den gegenüberliegenden Seitenkanten der Zunge (42) angeordnet sind.
  3. Schachtel nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, wobei die abstehende Zunge (42) eine Verriegelungsöffnung (40) umfasst, die von der erhabenen Verriegelungslasche (38) in Eingriff genommen wird, die angrenzend der Endkante der zweiten Wandfläche (12) angeordnet ist, um die überlappenden ersten und zweiten Wandflächen (20, 12) miteinander zu befestigen.
  4. Schachtel nach Anspruch 3, wobei die Verriegelungsöffnung (40) durch die hohle Verriegelungslasche (40a) definiert wird.
  5. Zuschnitt (10), umfassend erste und zweite Wandflächen (20, 12), die sich an gegenüberliegenden Enden des Zuschnitts (10) befinden und jeweils mit erhabenen und hohlen Durchstoßverriegelungslaschen (38, 40a) bereitgestellt sind, die sich gegenseitig in Eingriff nehmen können, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Zuschnitt ferner Ausrichtungsmittel zum Erleichtern der Ausrichtung der Verriegelungslaschen (38, 40a) während des Verriegelungsprozesses der gegenüberliegenden Wandflächen (20, 12) umfasst, wobei die Ausrichtungsmittel eine Zunge (42) umfassen, die von einer Endkante der ersten Wandfläche (20) absteht, sowie ein Paar von Klappen (50, 52), die in einer beabstandeten Anordnung gelenkig an einer Endkante der zweiten Wandfläche (12) angebracht sind, wobei jede der gelenkig angebrachten Klappen (50, 52) bemaßt und positioniert ist, um unter der Endkante der ersten Wandfläche (20) zu liegen, und zwar eine auf jeder Seite der abstehenden Zunge (42), wenn diese in eine überlappende Beziehung gebracht werden.
  6. Zuschnitt (10) nach Anspruch 5, wobei die abstehende Zunge (42) eine Verriegelungsöffnung (40) umfasst, die von einer Verriegelungslasche (38) in Eingriff genommen wird, die angrenzend der Endkante der zweiten Wandfläche (12) angeordnet ist, um die überlappenden ersten und zweiten Wandflächen (20, 12) miteinander zu befestigen.
  7. Zuschnitt (10) nach Anspruch 6, wobei die Öffnung (40) durch die hohle Verriegelungslasche (40a) definiert ist.
