Derartige Steckverbindungen werden bspw. im Kraftfahrzeugbereich eingesetzt. Verschmutzungen geschützt werden sollen. Der Klappdeckel erschwert allerdings das Einstecken eines Steckers bzw. eines Adapters, d.h. eines Anschlusselements für den Übergang einer Steckdose zu einem Stecker mit unterschiedlicher Polzahl, also bspw. von einer 13-poligen Steckdose (nach ISO11446) zu einem 7-poligen Stecker (bspw. nach ISO1724). Bei herkömmlichen Steckverbindungen muss der Anwender den Deckel der Steckdose mit der Hand öffnen, um den Stecker oder Adapter einstecken zu können. Auch während des Einsteckens, d.h. einer Drehbewegung zur Herstellung einer Bajonettverriegelung zwischen Steckdose und Stecker bzw. Auf der einen Seite des Umfangs des Gehäuses 4 ist dieses mit einer bogenartig geschwungenen, als etwa in Umfangsrichtung verlaufenden Leiste mit einer Führungsfläche 10 ausgestatteten Deckelöffnungsführung 5 versehen. In der in Fig. 3b veranschaulichten Position ist der Adapter 1 relativ zu der Ausgangslage von Fig. 3a nach rechts verdreht, wobei die Griffmulde 8 behilflich ist. Der Klappdeckel 3 ist aufgrund des radialen Anstiegs der Führungsfläche 10 der Deckelöffnungsführung 5 weiter angehoben und zwar schon fast bis auf die Höhe der Deckelauflageplattform 6 an dem Anschlusselement 1. In Fig. 3c ist das Anschlusselement 1 bis in seine Endverriegelungsstellung der zwischen Steckdose 2 und Anschlusselement 1 vorgesehenen Bajonettverriegelung gelangt. Man erkennt, dass der Klappdeckel 3 der Steckdose 1 selbsttätig bis auf die Oberseite der Deckelauflageplattform 6 gelangt ist und dort eben aufliegt, so dass seine Innenseite geschützt ist.
