Abstract

The invention relates to a method for detecting the energy and water consumption of dishwashers, whereby the energy/water consumption rating can be optimized for dishwashers. The amount of energy and water required to operate dishwashers comprising at least two separate washing systems, each having a separate closable washing container, is detected separately for each washing system, and the energy/water consumption is rated on the basis of the amount of energy and water detected for each washing system. The invention also relates to dishwashers provided with at least two separate washing systems, each having a separate closable washing container, in which the energy and water consumption is detected and rated according to the inventive method in order to optimize the energy/water consumption rating.

Description

Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Energie- und Wasserverbrauchs von Geschirrspülmaschinen und Geschirrspülmaschinen Method for determining the energy and water consumption of dishwashers and dishwashers
The invention relates to a method for determining the energy and water consumption of dishwashers, consisting of at least two separate washing systems, each with its own closable washing containers, and dishwashers, consisting of at least two separate washing systems, each with its own closable washing containers.
Dishwashers are known from WO 93/12706 and from WO 98/33426, which have at least two separate washing systems, each with its own lockable washing container. Since the individual flushing systems can also be arranged spatially separate from one another, they each have all the equipment necessary for dishwashers, such as a circulation pump, drain pump, control elements, etc. For the assessment of the energy / water consumption rating, the respective flushing units are therefore recorded separately from one another.
Separate wash systems can be used in such a way that wash items with light soiling are introduced into one wash system and wash items with stubborn soiling are introduced into the other wash system. Since the amount of energy or water used is always dependent on the degree of soiling or the selected washing program, the energy rating of dishwashers with at least two separate washing systems is used to measure energy or water consumption in one washing system when used as usual is low, and energy or water consumption, which is increased, is measured in the other flushing system. If, for example, the energy or water consumption is measured in a first washing container, which is preferably designed for cutlery with a light soiling, it can be seen that this is regularly low, whereas in a washing program, which is designed for cleaning items with stubborn soiling is an increased water or Energy consumption is recorded. These different assessment values diverge further the more different the washing programs selected in each case in the separate washing containers. However, since there are two separate flushing systems assessment of one flushing system does not affect the other flushing system.
It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a method which allows the energy / water consumption classification of dishwashers to be optimized, and also to provide dishwashers whose energy / water consumption classification is optimized.
This object is achieved by the method according to the invention for determining the energy and water consumption of dishwashers, consisting of at least two separate washing systems, each with its own lockable washing containers, by separately determining the amount of energy and water required for operating the respective washing systems, and the energy / water consumption rating of the dishwasher is determined from the energy and water consumption values of the respective washing systems. Advantageous further developments of the present invention are characterized in the subclaims.
In the method according to the invention for determining the energy and water consumption, appropriate place settings are used to assess the energy and water consumption values in the at least two separate flushing systems, the division taking place in accordance with the degree of soiling. For example, those items to be washed that have only slight soiling are introduced into the upper washing system, and those items to be washed that have stubborn soiling are inserted into the washing system arranged below or adjacent to them.
The selection of the respective washing programs to achieve an optimal cleaning performance depends on the degree of soiling. This targeted selection of washing programs ensures that the water or energy consumption in the washing system, which is only equipped with items with a lighter soiling, is low, while the water or energy consumption in the washing system, which is equipped with items of stubborn soiling, is significant turns out higher.
According to the invention, the water or energy consumption values obtained in each case, which are to be used as a basis for the assessment of the energy / water consumption classification, obtained by adding the respective energy or water consumption values of the individual flushing systems.
Dishwashers with at least two washing systems offer the particular advantage that the choice of washing programs can be tailored exactly to the degree of soiling of the wash ware, and thus the energy and water consumption is adapted to the respective needs. The task of providing dishwashers whose energy / water consumption rating is optimized is solved as follows: When washing a place setting with a dishwasher with at least two washing systems, the energy and water consumption is reduced compared to conventional dishwashers which have only one washing container, and according to the invention individual consumption values added. Despite the same washing result, the consumption value obtained in this way is lower than in conventional dishwashers and is used according to the invention for the assessment of the energy / water consumption classification.
The invention has succeeded in specifying a method which allows the energy / water consumption classification of dishwashers to be optimized and also provides dishwashers whose energy / water consumption classification is optimized.
