Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the mounting of a holographic sighting device on weapons and more especially on weapons such as a shotgun with stacked cannons or handguns such as a automatic pistol with movable breech. It was found that the mounting a holographic sighting device to the free end of the barrel of a weapon facilitated the shooting, said device lying substantially in the axis of aim of the weapon, i.e. on the virtual line rising from the rise to the handlebars or just matching to the band of a shotgun.
  • said barrels are connected by a wedge and the mounting of a device holographic sight on the upper barrel of the weapon forces to remove the target band or at least to modify it.
  • the prior art provides a flange with two branches arranged on either side of the box of cylinder head and which are screwed thereon, the flange supporting a rail on which the sighting device is mounted.
  • One of the aims of the present invention is to simpler assembly, ensuring high security and allowing very quickly to set up the holographic sighting device as well on a rifle hunting guns superimposed only on a handgun and without having to modify these, said assembly allowing also to easily and quickly remove the device holographic sight.
  • the assembly is intended to equip weapons such as superimposed guns or automatic pistols with movable breech, these weapons presenting a line of sight, said assembly being characterized by that it comprises a support provided, at one end, with means for fixing it laterally on the weapon, in the vicinity from the free end of the barrel, while the other end supports the holographic sighting device, said support being shaped so that the supporting end the holographic sighting device extends above of the weapon so that said holographic sighting device is located substantially in the line of sight. Thanks to this arrangement, it is possible to mount a holographic sight without having to modify the sight band on a gun with superimposed barrels and with regard to pistols with movable breech, the latter can move freely with each shot.
  • the weapon laterally, on a fixed part, a groove in dovetail, the corresponding end of the support being provided with a slide intended to be inserted in the groove dovetail, means for locking the slide in the groove being provided.
  • the mounting has a bar with holes for the passage of fixing screw on a fixed lateral part of the weapon and shaped to present the dovetail groove.
  • the dovetail groove is terminated by a stop.
  • the stop can be turned to the end side free from the barrel of the weapon.
  • a provision is of interest especially for automatic pistols with movable cylinder head where each time the cylinder head returns the support may move.
  • the slide presents a tapped hole into which a locking screw is screwed bearing against the bottom of the tail groove dove.
  • the bottom of the dovetail groove has a milling intended to receive the end of the screw locking in the locking position of the slide in the groove. This ensures better locking of the device on the gun.
  • Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of a assembly, according to the invention.
  • Figure 2 is a front elevation view showing the assembly according to the invention.
  • Figure 3 is a perspective view of a pistol automatic comprising an assembly, according to the invention.
  • Figure 4 shows exploded perspective details of the assembly.
  • guns 1 are shown and 2 of a shotgun with superimposed barrels, the upper barrel 1 being provided with a sighting strip 3 which can be a ventilated strip.
  • Cannons 1 and 2 are connected by a wedge 4 in the free end of which is made a groove in dovetail 5 closed on the free end side of the guns 1 and 2;
  • a holographic sighting system 6 is fixed by screws 11 in the vicinity of one end of a support 7 in arc-shaped, while the other end of the support 7 is fixed by screws 12 to a shaped slide 8 dovetail and intended to be engaged in the groove 5.
  • the slide 8 is provided with a screw 10 to ensure blocking of the slide in the groove 5.
  • Disassembly is quick and easy by simply unscrewing the screw 10 to unlock the slide 8.
  • the groove was practiced dovetailed in hold 4, but we could also provide a simple bar with a groove in dovetail and which would be fixed on the wedge 4 as in the embodiment which will now be described and which refers to an automatic pistol.
  • Figures 3 and 4 show a pistol automatic of a conventional type comprising a box of cylinder head 15, a handle 16, a trigger 17, a charger 18 engaged in a housing of the handle 16, a barrel 19 and a movable breech 20 allowing, after each shot fired, eject the sleeve through an opening 21 provided for this purpose.
  • the cylinder head carries a handlebar 36 and a rise 37 which constitute the line of sight.
  • a bar 22 having a groove dovetail 23 in the bottom of which are drilled holes 24 for the passage of screws 25 screwing into cylinder head tapping 15.
  • the bar 22 is, on one side, terminated by a stop 26, while the other end ends with a inclined ramp 27.
  • the groove 23 is intended to receive a slide 29 secured to one end of a support 30 arc-shaped and the other end 38 of which is intended to extend above the cylinder head 20. On the latter end is fixed, by screws 32, a sighting device holographic 33.
  • the slide 29 is pierced with a tapped hole 36 into which is screwed a screw 34 cooperating with a milling 35 from the bottom of the groove 23 to block the slide 29 in the groove 23 when it bears against the stop 26.
  • the end 38 has a notch 39 so the handlebars 36 pass under the end 28 of the support 30.
  • tail groove dovetail came directly from manufacturing with the box cylinder head 15.
