Abstract

A method for profiling a flat security key for fitting into a hierarchy of locking systems has both sides of the flat key profiled with longditudinal grooves (7). The flat flanges of the grooves meet at set angles on a half circle centred on the outer surfaces of the key. The half circles have various diameters for each range of keys.

Description

The invention relates to a method according to the preamble of claim 1, a system of flat keys according to the preamble of claim 2 and a locking system according to the preamble of claim 10. The inventive method, the inventive system of flat keys and the locking system according to the invention relates to a profile variation.

The profile variation is known to perform two tasks initially, on the one hand ensures the positional movement of the key in the key channel and on the other determined whether the key can be inserted into a particular lock or not introduced. What is essential is the possibility provided by the profile variation rule of designing locking systems with several hierarchical levels. In addition, the profile variation rule makes it possible to match different locking systems in such a way that overlaps are largely excluded. A profile variation of the type in question is known from the DE 33 14 417 C2 , where circles are laid concentrically to the center line. Furthermore, the center lines are crossed by rays arranged in a line. It is created by a circular beam system, which is the basis of a profile variation. The variation grooves are arranged to converge toward the center line, the groove bottom forming a circular line section.

From the AT 004 291 U1 . EP 1217151 A1 and US 4,368,629 Profile systems for flat keys are known in which the key broadside have variation profile elements in the form of notches with mutually perpendicular edges. To achieve a closing hierarchy, the notches are partially filled with trapezoidal fields.

The AT 005 395 U1 also describes a profile system for the cross-sectional formation of flat keys. Again, the profile variation is done by filling a profile element formed by a notch with fields.

From the DE 3314417 A1 is a key for a lock cylinder is known in which the side walls of the grooves are aligned with a key cross-section extending straight.

From the DE 4304604 A1 is a locking system consisting of lock cylinders and keys known in which remain between the ribs of the keyway and the associated edges of the grooves of the key broadside flanks.

The invention has for its object to provide in a generic embodiment in a simple manner a profile variation with a high possibility of differences.

This object is achieved by the method specified in claim 1, the specified in claim 2 system of flat keys and the locking system specified in claim 10, wherein initially and essentially is aimed at a profile variation that based on a cross-sectional view two intersecting edges of a variation groove on straight lines passing through the end points of a semicircle arc surrounding the center just with the distance measure and intersecting in a point lying on the semicircular arc. According to such a configuration, a plurality of differences of the variation grooves can be achieved. The opening angle of the flanks of a variation groove is always 90 ° and starts from the semicircular arc. The tapered groove bottom can begin at any point of the semicircular arc, wherein the flanks of the variation groove in the form of straight lines through the end points of the semicircular arc run around the center straight. The opening angle always remains rectangular. The invention makes use of the knowledge of the "Theorem of Thales" which expresses the following: The geometric location of the vertices of all right angles, the legs of which pass through two fixed points, is the circle over the distance as a diameter. Accordingly, savings can be achieved in terms of the grooves generating tools. The different shape of the V-grooves can be achieved only by appropriate alignment of the tool to the key broadside. An additional concealment of the V-grooves can be achieved by having the endpoints in the key width side plane or offset parallel to this. The parallel offset may be either in-key or out-of-key. Furthermore, it is prevented by filing the key area to obtain a parent key. For this purpose, the invention provides that the radii of the semicircular arcs overlap paracentrically by at least two opposing variation grooves. In detail, the procedure is such that a plane extending parallel to the key width side plane is cut by at least two opposing grooves. Furthermore, to increase the differences, the measure can be taken that the semicircular arches of different Variation grooves have different diameter. Nevertheless, the use of the same shape tools is possible. For the purpose of creating higher-level keys, which close both the subordinate individual closing cylinder and the parent lock cylinder, a rectilinear number of edges of a Variierungsnut is provided, of which each intersect two at right angles in a lying on the semicircular intersection point. This means that in each semicircular surface overlapping staggered perpendicular triangles are provided which determine the shape of the groove bottom of the profile groove. Thus, such a figuration may result in which the flanks of a variation groove intersect at an obtuse angle in at least one comb lying in the semicircular surface. It is then possible, in order to increase the differences in the profile variation, to provide partially overlapping semicircular arcs within which the intersecting flanks of the variation grooves run. Due to the configuration of the invention is advantageously the use in locking systems, each with a number of lock cylinders with divergent locks and matching keys allows. At least one higher-order key has a flank configuration such that the flanks of a variation groove lie in at least one in the semicircular surface Cut the comb at an obtuse angle. Practically, such a design is possible that in a key, in particular a general master key, the cross-sectional profile of at least one variation groove as a polygon approaches the semicircular surface. The concept of the invention can be used in the case of flat keys with a key ridge and a key shank which has closing notches or the like for arranging tumbler pins and variation grooves, which are differently cross-sectional profiled to determine a locking hierarchy. For the individualization of the key to a locking system, the cross-sectional profile is profiled accordingly. In essence, this looks like that the grooves of the key broadside correspond to ribs of the keyway. The ribs are thus part of a lock cylinder. Therefore, the ribs form the reciprocal profile of one of the preceding claims.

FIG. 1 shows a designed as a blank flat key 1, consisting of a key shank 2 and a key grain 3. The back 4 of the key shank extends on a circular arc, seen in cross section, wherein the curvature of the circumferential line of the cylinder core of a not illustrated lock cylinder is adjusted. The chest 4 is opposite the back 4. From this side, the not illustrated closing notches are cut, which serve in a known manner for the classification of lock cylinder side tumbler pins, so that when properly designed key tumblers are arranged so that a rotation of the cylinder core is possible ,

From the key broadsides 6 go Variation grooves 7. In this engage in the insertion of the key in the keyway of the lock cylinder protruding ribs, which are correspondingly cross-sectional profiled.

In the Fig. 2 illustrated basic profiles show ways of arranging center line Z with respect to the key broadsides 6. According to Fig. 2a has the left key broadside 6 three superimposed center line Z on. At a distance to these run semicircular arcs B. The right key broadside 6 has three center lines Z associated with these Semicircular arches B. With dotted lines, several triangles are indicated by dash-dotted lines within the semicircular surfaces, whose base is the diameter of the semicircular arc, while the cathets intersect in a point lying on the semicircular arc B. As a result, each triangle has a right angle above its diameter. In this way, the most varied profile variations of Variation grooves 7 can be generated.

If one looks at a symmetrical arrangement of the variation grooves for the key transverse median plane, then a reversible key could be realized on this basis, which then however forms the closing notches on its key broadsides. According to Fig. 2a are illustrated on each key broadside 6 two half-circular arcs B in juxtaposition, which affect the key longitudinal plane xx. By contrast, the remaining semicircular arc B has a radius which is smaller than half the key thickness.

According to Fig. 2b are on each Schlüsselbreitseite 6 two running in Schlüsseleinsteckrichtung center line Z before. These run with distance measure semicircular arches B, which affect the key longitudinal center plane xx. Within the semicircular areas, options of the right-angled triangles are indicated by dashed lines, whose flanks can serve to form the variation grooves 7. Also in this version, it is possible to create a symmetrical arrangement to the transverse center plane of the key shank, so that with appropriate design of the lock cylinder and the key shank the use as a reversible key is possible, which then forms on its key broadsides the closing recesses.

In Fig. 3 possible profile variations on individual keys are shown. In detail, the single key shows according to Fig. 3a such a cross-sectional profile, at which are provided on the left key broadside three Variierungsnuten 7. Their center lines Z are at the level of the key broadside 6. Thus, the upper variation groove 7 shows that two intersecting flanks 7 ', 7 "run on straight lines passing through the end points 8 of the semicircular arc B. The straight lines intersect in one on the semicircular arc The included angle α is therefore a right angle as previously stated Fig. 3a is such a design that the flanks 7 "are longer than the flanks 7 '.

Ferner verlaufen die Zentrumsgeraden Z auf Höhe der Schlüsselbreitseite 6.A similar design is with respect to the lower Variierungsnut 7 on the left key broadside 6 before. The difference is that there the semicircular arc B has a smaller diameter, the center straight Z is also on the key broadside 6. The middle variation groove 7 is designed exclusively in the form of a semicircular arc. This also applies to the upper, arranged on the right key broadside 6 Variation 7 in Fig. 3a to. The profiling grooves 7 arranged underneath have the shape of right angles with flanks 7 ', 7 ", which intersect in the semicircular arc B at the points P. Furthermore, the center straight lines Z extend at the level of the broad-wedge side 6.

The Fig. 3b and 3c illustrate further possibilities for creating the profile variations with respect to the Variation grooves 7, so that there equivalent parts have the same reference numerals.

According to Fig. 4 the keys 4b and 4c are individual keys which, according to the above-described law, each form three variation grooves 7 on each key broad side 6. The parent key according to Fig. 4a is designed so that by means of this, the individual cylinder can be closed, which can be operated by the individual keys 4b and 4c. To this end identifies each variation groove of the parent key Fig. 4a a rectilinear number of flanks 7 ', 7 ", of which in each case two intersect at right angles in an intersection lying on the semicircular arc Fig. 4a extend z. B. above the diameter of the upper, arranged on the left key broadside semicircle B three triangles each with right angles. The triangle I corresponds to the corresponding variation groove 7 of the single key after Fig. 4b and the triangle II of the associated Variierungsnut 7 of the single key after Fig. 4c , The triangle III has no counterpart to the single keys. Accordingly, there forms the rib of the parent lock cylinder a corresponding Figuration, so that the individual key according to Fig. 4b and 4c can not be inserted into the key channel of the parent lock cylinder and thus locked out. The further variation grooves 7 of the parent key are constructed accordingly. It is therefore not discussed in detail. Looking at the variation grooves of the parent key after Fig. 4a the flanks 7 ', 7 "of adjacent triangles intersect at least one obtuse angle in at least one comb located in the semicircular surface The more individual locking cylinders are to be closed, the finer the comb can be designed, which means that in particular for a general master key the cross-sectional profile of at least one variation groove In principle, however, it should be noted that the ribs of the keyway of the lock cylinder are the reciprocal profile of the variation grooves.

The single key after Fig. 5a illustrates on the left key broadside such a profile variation that adjacent semicircular arcs B partially overlap. Their center line Z are at the level of Schlüsselbreitseite 6. On the opposite key broadside the semicircular arcs B are arranged at a distance from each other, but with on the key broadsides lying center line Z. According to Fig. 5a it is possible to form such variation grooves 7 which form a sawtooth-like structure. This means that flanks 7 'of adjacent variation grooves 7 run parallel to one another.

The key according to Fig. 5b has a profile variation, in which on each key broadside each a Variierungsnut 7 is designed so that the end points 8 are offset parallel to the key broadside 6, in the inward direction. This means that then the respective center lines Z 'are within the cross-sectional profile of the key shank 2. According to Fig. 5b it is on the right side of the key broadside 6 to the middle Variierungsnut 7 and on the opposite key broadside to the lower Variierungsnut 7. The inward offset is denoted by y. Further, the diameter of the lower semicircle arc B on the left side is about half the diameter of the semicircular arc B lying on the opposite wrench width side. Due to the offset y and the radius of the middle semicircle arc B, which radius corresponds to half the key thickness, the overlap Radii of the semicircular arches B of at least two opposing Variation grooves 7. Thus, it is possible that a plane extending parallel to the key width side plane of at least two opposing grooves 7 is cut. In the present case, it is the grooves 7 that are adjacent to the transverse center plane of the key shank 2. Because of this, it is not possible to generate a higher-order key by filing the key broadsheets, since this would fall apart due to the paracentricity.
