<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
ten bzw.
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
<Desc/Clms Page number 9>

The invention relates to a profile system for the cross section of flat keys with teeth on the key face for the positioning of core and housing pins, and for the cross section of key channels in the cylinder cores of locking cylinders, whereby for the construction of locking systems with each cross section one invariant within each system - Lapped guide profile made of mutually opposed profile elements such as ribs or grooves is provided in the central area of the cross section between the key back and the key face where the head ends of the core pins lie in the cylinder core and variation profile elements are provided on both sides of the guide profile to build up a locking hierarchy are.
A locking system is known from AT 358 951 B, which starts from an overlapped guide profile which is always unchanged within a system and which is arranged in the central region of the key cross section or the key channel cross section. Both the area adjacent to the key back and the area adjacent to the key face can be used for the variation profile. This trisection of the profile cross-section with the invariant overlapped guide profile in the central area has the advantage that the head ends of the core pins are covered by the overlapping profile ribs of the key channel in all system cylinders and are therefore not or only difficult to access for scanning. There are also profile grooves on the key or
Profile ribs in the key channel are known which are inclined at an acute angle to the longitudinal center plane of the respective profile. According to DE 33 14 511 C2, the side walls of each groove, which are at right angles to the base of the groove and are at an acute angle, are parallel to one another. In the flat sides lying opposite one another, the acute angles of the side walls face each other.
The aim of the invention is to make it more difficult to copy a key and to scan it, in particular with the transmission of vibrations to the tumbler pins, in such a way that it is avoided. This is achieved in that both flanks of each groove or rib of the guide profile form different acute angles in the same direction for each groove or rib to the central axis of the profile, the grooves
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
ten or ribs are formed as undercut grooves or ribs. If a scanning needle, in particular an electronically vibrating needle, runs onto the inclined surfaces of the ribs in the key channel, it is deflected to the side and does not reach the head end of the core pins.
In addition, the production of the undercut key grooves, which are formed with different flank angles, as guide profile grooves is particularly difficult and cannot be realized with the usual scanning methods when copying.
It is expedient if the surfaces of the flanks of the grooves or ribs which face away from the key face or the core pins have depressions, for example grooves, which extend in the longitudinal direction of the key bit or the key channel. The scanning needles are caught in these recesses so that they do not reach the core pins.
The profile system is based on the overlapped, undercut guide profile arranged centrally in the profile cross-section. Any variation profile elements can be used to set up a locking system above and below the guide profile. It is particularly difficult with regard to the production of replacement keys if the variation profile elements provided on both sides of the guide profile on the walls of the keys and key channels, which by passing or taking away, assign keys to a locking cylinder in the sense of a predeterminable locking authorization or exclude them from a locking cylinder, grooves or ribs with flanks whose flank angles per groove or rib to the central axis of the profile are designed as different, in particular, large acute angles in the same direction. The orientation of the grooves or
Ribs with respect to the guide profile can be a further special feature, in particular when the acute angles of the undercut grooves or ribs are oriented in opposite directions on both sides of the guide profile. The undercut grooves can have different designs. For the profound overlap, it is advisable if the overlap on the groove bottom of the guide profile grooves or the variation profile
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
groove-lying surface is oriented approximately perpendicular to the angular symmetry of the groove flanks of the guide profile grooves or the variation profile grooves. The variation profile elements in cross section could also represent parallelograms.
The reworking of a key for the undercut grooves is made even more difficult if the surface lying on the bottom of the groove of the guide profile grooves or the variation profile grooves is aligned parallel to the longitudinal center plane of the flat key. In order to ensure clear jumps within the variation profile, it is expedient if the variation profile in the locking system, which is hierarchically graded according to access authorization, has variation jumps in cross section within a locking system, the difference areas from variation jump to the next variation jump always being the same size , It is also difficult to imitate a key if the structure of the variation profile has a profile grid with at least two different geometric shapes.
If the cross-sectional shape of the flat key and the key channel have an approximately trapezoidal shape with side walls tapering towards the key bit or towards the core pins, then scanning in the key channel, which is ever narrower towards the core pin, becomes increasingly difficult, particularly with undercut profiles.
A special embodiment of the invention is characterized in that a safety slide is provided in the cylinder core perpendicular to the key or key channel plane, which has at least part of the undercut rib of the guide profile of the key channel at its key channel side or head end to form a positive connection with the Carries key and which rests with its foot end on the bore wall of the cylinder housing for the cylinder core and that in the cross-sectional plane of the safety slide in the path region of its foot end or directly at the foot end in the bore wall of the housing there is a recess into which the slide immersed on the foot side in the event of a radial displacement and blocking twisting, in particular further turning of the cylinder core.
If a key is the undercut
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Guide profile does not have, but is formed for example at this point of the flat key sides with a known V-shaped open groove, then the slide is not held by this wrong key. Under the action of radial spring forces, the slide can dip into a recess on the housing side and strike there against a locking surface. A further turning is blocked, only a turning back into the key withdrawal position is possible. Only the right key hooks into the slider with its undercut profile element and holds it securely so that it does not move back and can therefore block the rotation.
It is also possible that the security slide is directly opposite the recess in the housing bore and that the security slide can be positioned in the radial direction perpendicular to the key channel plane by the undercut groove or rib of the key, can be withdrawn from the recess and fixed in position is.
When the key is inserted into the key channel, the undercut groove can positively grip the slide and pull in the course of the further insertion movement in the direction of the key channel center plane. For this purpose, the inner flank of the undercut groove could be oriented somewhat obliquely to the cross-sectional central plane away from the key tip. In this way, the slide is withdrawn from its starting position in the cylinder core which blocks the rotation of the cylinder core, that is to say the cylinder core is “unlocked” during the insertion of the key.
A flat key, in particular a system key with a key back, a toothed key face and a profiled cross section, which contains an overlapped guide profile in the central region of the cross section and on both sides on the flat sides towards the key back as well as towards the key face, variation profile elements, can be used with the invention Features can be recognized in that the flanks of the mutually overlapping grooves of the guide profile include different acute angles in the same direction to the profile center axis and are designed as undercut grooves.
As mentioned, such a key offers increased security because the corresponding locking cylinder in the area of the
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
gripping point of the core pins is protected against scanning to a particular extent due to the undercuts.
Exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawings. 1 shows a cross section through a key blank of a flat key with a guide profile according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows an alternative embodiment to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows a cross section according to FIG. 1 with variation profiles, FIGS. 4 and 5 Alternatives to FIGS. 3, 6, 7 and 8 each include individual system keys from the systems according to FIGS. 3, 4 and 5, FIG. 9 a cross-section of a locking cylinder, with the correct key and with a profile-controlled safety slide, and FIG. 10 shows an embodiment similar to FIG. 9 with the wrong key in the blocking position by the safety slide.
A profile system for the construction of locking systems affects both the key profile cross sections and the key channel cross sections of the locking cylinders. All profile systems have in common that the keys are precisely positioned in the key channel by means of a "invariant" guide profile that is always constant within a system and that a variation profile system is also provided both on the key and on the key channel cross-section. Whenever the key channel cross section is the same or forms the envelope of the key cross section, the key can be inserted into the key channel.
As an additional criterion for locking, the teeth on the key face must of course also be correct, that is, the pairs of core and housing pins, which are spring-loaded in the locking cylinder, must be arranged in such a way that the contact levels of the core and housing pins are precisely in the lateral surface of the cylinder core.
1 shows a cross section for a key blank or for a key channel with a guide profile. This comprises two overlapping grooves 1, 2 for the key or ribs for the key channel, the flanks of which each include acute angles a1 and a2 to the profile center line. This results in undercuts in the grooves and ribs. Such undercuts are
<Desc / Clms Page number 6>
Imitation of a key is difficult to manufacture and is not required for the usual copy milling of a key profile. The overlapped, undercut guide profile lies in the central area of the key or key channel cross section. For the key channel, this means that the ribs corresponding to the grooves 1, 2 lie in the area of the end faces of the core pins of the cylinder core of the locking cylinder.
A needle that is used as a scanning tool to move the core and housing pins, e.g. B. is guided by a burglar into the key channel according to the Hobbian method, deflection is experienced by the profile ribs in FIG. 1 to the right to the side. In particular with electronic scanning devices based on needles that are set in vibration, the expected success does not occur because the swinging needles are deflected and kept inoperative in a lateral position.
In Fig. 1 the key blank or the key channel is shown with slightly inclined side walls.
A tapering of the profile towards the key face or towards the core pins means a further difficulty in scanning.
According to FIG. 2, the flanks of the grooves 1, 2, or in particular the flanks of the ribs, which represent the negative of the grooves, are profiled by longitudinal ridges or grooves 3. These grooves or ribs hold the scanning needles in place or hinder them, so that scanning is made more difficult. In FIG. 3, based on the invariant guide profile that is always present in a locking system, variation profile elements 4, 5, 6, 7 are drawn in on both sides of the same. These are shown as a grid and show all the available variations. FIG. 6 shows a profile or cross section of a system key from the profile system according to FIG. 3. In addition to the invariant guide profile grooves 1, 2, the variation profile grooves 4 '(as a double groove), 5' and 6 'are realized.
A key channel in which this key fits must either represent the negative for this key according to FIG. 6 or envelop the key profile with its outline.
<Desc / Clms Page number 7>
4 shows an alternative for variation profile elements 8, 9, 10, 11 with the same centrally arranged, overlapped and undercut guide profile. All options within this variation profile system are shown in a grid-like manner. The step change from one variation profile element to the next must be large enough for a key, e.g. B. even with normal wear and tear, does not suddenly lock a cylinder that lies outside the area of authority of the key holder. According to Fig.
4, the difference areas from one variation element to the next are always the same size. This creates a "security clearance" within the hierarchy of a locking system, which prevents unwanted overlaps of locking authorizations. FIG. 7 shows a system key in a profile cross section from the profile system according to FIG. 4. In addition to the guide profile grooves 1, 2, the variation profile grooves 8 ', 9' and 10 'are realized.
FIG. 5 shows a particularly interesting profile system. In addition to the guide profile with the grooves 1, 2 or the corresponding ribs of the key channel, undercut grooves or
Ribs in four zones - again on both sides of the centrally arranged, overlapping and undercut guide profile - shown. FIG. 5 again shows all possible variations of this system superimposed in a grid. By leaving or removing individual variation profile elements, a locking system is set up according to the known criteria. A system key from the profile system according to FIG. 5 is shown in FIG. 8. The profile elements 12 ', 13', 14 'and 15' are implemented, the latter representing undercut grooves in the key or undercut ribs in the key channel.
9 shows a safety slide 16 which interacts with the undercut guide groove 1. This is slidably mounted in a cylinder core 17 in the direction perpendicular to the key channel 18. A spring 19 applies a preload in the radial direction to the outside (arrow direction) on the safety slide 16. The safety slide 16 is at its head end with a section
<Desc / Clms Page number 8>
of the undercut rib 20, which corresponds to the undercut groove 1 of the guide profile at the key. This rib 20 forms part of the profile of the key channel 18. The foot end of the safety slide 16 lies against the bore wall of the cylinder housing 21 with the bias of the spring 19.
9, if the appropriate key 22 is inserted into the key channel 18, the undercut of the groove 1 engages behind the undercut head region, namely the rib 20 on the safety slide 16. The safety slide 16 is in its 9 is held in position and cannot move radially under the action of spring 19. The safety slide 16 can thus not be immersed in a recess 23, which is provided in the cross-sectional plane according to FIG. 9 in the cylinder housing 21 as a "trap".
FIG. 10 shows the situation with a locking cylinder equipped in this way when an incorrect key 24 with customary profiling is used. If the teeth of such a key 24 are correct, then the cylinder core 17 can be rotated somewhat. However, the groove 1 'is not undercut and therefore does not hold the safety slide 16 firmly on the head side. The safety slide 16 therefore does not hook onto the key profile and has a degree of freedom in the direction of the action of the spring 19. When the cylinder core is rotated by the key, the safety slide 16 slides with its foot end along the bore wall of the cylinder housing 21 until it stops at the end of the recess 23. This prevents further turning and thus unlocking.
If such a recess 23 is also provided in mirror image on the bore wall, then locking with the wrongly profiled key is also prevented.
The inclined entry to the recess 23 allows the wrong key 24 to be turned back and removed.
The undercut groove 1 could be aligned with its undercut flank so obliquely to the profile center plane that a safety slide 16, which dips into a recess 23 'without a key 22, in the course of the insertion movement of the key 22 into the undercut groove on the head side

1 hooks in and is gradually lifted out of the recess 23 '. For this purpose, the undercut flank of the groove 1 converges towards the key chalk against the profile center plane.
