Claims (10)

  1. Gripper (3) for residual coils (1) which at the end of rolling can be wound from residual strip (2) running from strip processing plants, wherein the gripper is arranged to be pivotable or movable over a strip processing plant, characterised in that the gripper (3) is constructed, apart from its function as delivery device (3a), additionally as a winding device (3b).
  2. Gripper according to claim 1, characterised in that a pair of gripper arms (6; 7) are mounted to be pivotable relative to one another about a pivot axis (5) extending parallel to the coiler mandrel axis (4), a respective support roller (8) being rotatably mounted at the end regions (6a; 7a) of the gripper arms at the inside, a driven roller (9) being rotatably mounted at one gripper arm end (7b) and a counter-roller (10) being rotatably mounted at the other, opposite gripper arm end (6b).
  3. Gripper according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the support rollers (8) are rotatably mounted for idle running.
  4. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the counter-roller (10) is formed with a smaller diameter than the associated driven roller (9).
  5. Gripper according to one of claims 2 to 4, characterised in that the pivot joint (11) for the pivotable gripper arm (6; 7) forms, in the operational setting (13), one plane (12) with the coiler mandrel axis (4).
  6. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the driven roller (9) is arranged, by an angular amount of 5° to 10°, in front of the plane (12) in which the coiler mandrel axis (4) and the pivot axis (5) of the gripper arm pair (6; 7) extend in operational setting (13).
  7. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the counter-roller (10) is arranged with its rotational axis (10a) relative to the driven roller (9) at a spacing (14) from the instantaneous circumference (15) of the residual strip (2) to be wound up.
  8. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the carrier rollers (8) are each rotatably mounted by their rotational axis (8) approximately at the inner circumference (6c; 7c) of a gripper arm (6; 7).
  9. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the counter-roller (10) and the driven roller (9) are each rotatably mounted with their rotational axes (10a, 9a) approximately in the centre of the gripper arm thickness (16).
  10. Gripper according to one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the counter-roller (10) and the driven roller (9) are each rotatably mounted with their rotational axes (10a; 9a) at the end (6b; 7b) of the respective gripper arm (6; 7) in an end centre (17).
