Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zum Feuern eines Flammrohrkessels großer Leistung mit einem staubförmigen Brennstoff angegeben, bei dem wenigstens 30% des Brennstoffs in einer Vorbrennkammer verbrannt werden, und die aus der Vorbrennkammer austretenden, brennenden Flammgase auf eine Geschwindigkeit von wenigstens 80 m/s beschleunigt und mit dieser Geschwindigkeit in das Flammrohr eingeblasen werden. Man erreicht durch diese Maßnahme eine Herabsetzung der Wärmestromdichte in der Wand des Flammrohrs, die es ermöglicht, die Wanddicke des Flammrohres gegenüber dem bislang zulässigen Maß zu vergrößern und dadurch die Abmessungen des Flammrohrs insgesamt zu vergrößern.
