Abstract

The collapsible carton has at least five sides (21 -28) which have end flaps attached to their bases. Two of the flaps (33, 37) which are attached to diametrically opposite sides (23, 27) interlock and are held under tension, due to the resilience of the card. The other flaps (31, 32, 34 - 36, 38) fit under the two large flaps. An independent claim is included for a blank for making the carton.

An essential feature of generic large-capacity containers, which are usually octagonal formed as an octahedron, is that they are delivered in a completely flattened state and provided to then be erected for receiving cargo in place. These are containers whose bottom flaps closing the bottom of the container lie flat or completely between most of the flattened shroud in order to achieve a low storage and transport volume in this state. To erect the container the flattened ring is pulled apart, whereby the soil is clamped by unfolding the bottom flaps. Usually, the container is filled with a bulk receiving bag and transported by pallet. For storage and transport units of pallet and container are stacked side by side and one above the other.

A known from DE 33 46 275 A container having the features according to the preamble of claim 1 is provided in connection with a film bag as a small container in the form of a flower vase. Floor outer flaps are adhesively bonded together via adhesive tabs and articulated by means of the adhesive tabs hinged fold lines together. The glued-Faltverbindung requires special measures for assembly for the folded state. Floor shutters are offset from each other with respect to each other and overlap in a bottom half with large area bottom section areas. The floor is material consuming. The unfolding of the flaps must be done in conjunction with the hinged to each other bottom outer flaps to avoid over-spreading adjacent container walls.

From US Pat. No. 6,386,437 a large-capacity container with shut-off flaps is known, which lie outside the container shroud when the container is laid flat. The flaps have hinged over fold lines sections that are hinged to other bottom flaps. The packaging of the container is expensive. The container must be turned upside down to knock the bottom flaps. Also from US 2,332,250 A, a container emerges, which has bottom flaps, which are connected to each other by means of adhesive folding connection via adhesive tabs. In the flat container-shell ring come alternately overlapping bottom flaps to lie. Mutually offset bottom flaps reach only as a result of folding back with the folding adhesive flaps edge areas in unfolded soil via a Verhakungsverbindung.

A container known from EP-A1-1 225 130 is provided at the bottom with an overlapping toothing, by means of which mutually opposite bottom closure flaps lock together when the bottom is clamped. The known container has at least three floor parts, which are each formed by a pair of flaps, the two flaps are hinged together about fold line. Each overlapping toothing has relatively short plug-in slots left in the insertion direction. Such a container requires a relatively complex assembly. Soil parts are to be bonded by gluing to the sheath ring, whereby the adhesion can dissolve under filling pressure of the filled container as a result of bulging in the bottom region of the container ring. In another octagonal container (EP-B1-855 344), which is in two parts, although splices are reduced in number, but there is the packaging relatively expensive, and it can bulges in the lower container area arise. Flat lay-out octagonal containers formed from a single blank have bottom flaps which also need to be specially tailored by adhering bottom flaps to one another and folding them together by fold lines (US 4,736,885, GB-A-2 313 826).

Objectives of the invention are to provide an at least five-sided flat-layable large-capacity transport container, in particular for bulky Good or heavy, which is easy to build, inexpensive to manufacture and easy to assemble, to deliver him flat and ready. Such a container should be easy to manipulate to erect and have high dimensional stability in the erected filled state. Cost and mechanical production costs for the production of the container blank as well as for packaging of the container should be kept as low as possible by saving operations.

Objectives of the invention are achieved in conjunction with the features of the aforementioned container in that each bottom outer flap free of Faltanlenkung to be flat lying bottomed bottom flaps, wherein at least one bottom outer flap engages under at least one flap, and that Forming the container bottom surface placed in their bottom flat position bottom flaps, optionally with the exception of a cohesive locking connection in the region of the free edges of the bottom flaps, loosely, that is free of cohesive connection means abut each other. The container according to the invention avoids Faltanlenkung of bottom flaps together and consequently gluing, which provide for confectioning containers with hinged by folding bottom flaps are. Also, the invention avoids containers with slots and tabs having bottoms which are collapsed in the overhead position of the containers. This succeeds according to the invention in connection with the flap in opposite flaps, which only unobstructed, unfold when unfolding and lock in bottom flat position, characterized in that in the assembled flat state and in the unfolding phase all flaps in the bottom area are not materially connected to each other and free Otherwise Faltanlenkung to be provided for this remain, with the inneliefenden in the container flaps (inner flaps) can fold from their position between the flat container-shroud easily against at least one bottom-outside flap in the container bottom surface. The attachment of special fold lines and adhesive surfaces on the container blank is eliminated. It has been found that the overall shape retention of the container in conjunction with at least one bottom outer flap stiffening the container at the bottom transversely to the arresting edges of the bottom flaps is achieved easily and effectively. On the whole, a container is achieved which, in contrast to conventional containers of simple construction, can be produced and assembled cost-effectively, the handling for erecting the container being simple and the container erected having optimum dimensional stability.

In a preferred embodiment, the container according to the invention, which is of particular advantage, can be formed from a single blank having the shell sidewall portions and each bottom flap. Particular advantages and a further improvement of the construction according to the invention are achieved according to an embodiment also in that the material of the shell part is stronger than the material of the soil, wherein expediently the shell part consists of doppelwelliger and the bottom of single-walled corrugated board. On the one hand, in connection with the floor construction according to the invention, the dimensional stability is further increased, and on the other hand, the floor can still be easily handled due to its lower thickness. As well as known large-capacity container of the container according to the invention expediently in the form of an octahedron. In particular, in this embodiment, the closure flaps of the closure flap pair according to the invention are in flat-lying container offset from each other. The staggered closure flap arrangement within the container ring contributes under the effect of auffaltender material restoring force particularly in that get the flaps when mounting the container ring in its flat position. In particular, in connection with this design, it is particularly advantageous if the surface shapes of the two flaps of the flap pair correspond to segments of the prism section of the container. Suitably, the flaps together form completely the inner bottom surface of the container bottom. With this configuration, one achieves a particularly simple floor construction. Expediently, an edge is formed between at least one base outer flap and a jacket side wall section which articulates this to form a positive bordering of the transverse edge of a bottom closure flap.

The locking connection of the flaps in the state of the erected container can in principle be formed by any connection, which opposes the two flaps for keeping the walls of the shell part apart. It is conceivable, for example, a connection with adhesive strips, self-adhesive adhesive trace, push-button elements and / or textile surface fasteners. Particularly useful but the flaps can be designed so that they reach the arresting connection at least at one point of their free longitudinal edges in impact system through which the container is held in the erected state in the erected state without the usual in the middle floor area Faltanlenkung. In this case, there is a special ausgestaltende measure of the invention is that the locking connection is formed by an overlapping toothing. This can be particularly advantageously formed by a Verhakungsverbindung with hooking elements, which interlock with hook projections which protrude in the longitudinal direction of the shutter-flap longitudinal edges of the overlapping teeth opposite. The hooking connection is expediently formed in the floor center. It is particularly advantageous to form the hook projections in each case by an S- or Z-shaped edge through which the free closure longitudinal edges of the flaps extend offset. You get a hooking, the hook catch each other when mounting the soil. The S- or Z-shaped hook training also contributes to the particularly secure locking the closure bottom flaps together. Plug connections with narrow plug-in slots (such as according to EP-A1-1 225 130) are avoided.

A special design is also that the closure flap longitudinal edge of at least one flap of a flap pair is offset with at least one offset edge portion, whereby at least one projecting overlap portion of the overlapping teeth is formed on the closure flap. The overlap section of at least one closure flap expediently has a length which corresponds essentially to half the length of the closure flap longitudinal edge and thus half the bottom diameter. This results in particular in offset provided flaps long extending slide edges that favor the unfolding of the soil.

In an advantageous embodiment, the container bottom has a plurality of adjacent, each against one another cut free bottom outer flaps, which are hinged to shell-side wall sections to which no flaps are hinged. Appropriately, each bottom flap remains free of Faltanlenkung to be flat lying bottomed bottom flaps lying on spanned ground. Advantageously, at least one bottom outer flap can engage under at least two bottom flaps. In a preferred embodiment, at least two bottom outer flaps are arranged, cut and shaped so that along the annular edge of the skirt portion adjacent bottom flaps are abutted against each other in position beneath the flaps to form a bottom stiffening bottom sector.

In Fig. 3, an inventive container in the form of a regular octahedron is shown, which is formed from a single blank 1 of FIG. The blank 1 is assembled to obtain the flat state of the container shown in Fig. 2. From the flat container of the regular octahedron container shown in FIG. 3 is erected, the bottom in plan view of FIG. 4 can be seen.

The blank 1 includes eight folded over fold lines 12 in series rectangular Mantelteilfelder forming the same side wall portions 21-28. These are hinged together over their long sides. On the free longitudinal side of the side wall portion 21, a strip 11 is additionally hinged, which forms a so-called factory edge, to be connected by adhesive bonding or other suitable attachment to the side wall portion 28 to form a closed container shroud. The jacket ring forms the jacket part 2 of the container.

38, 31, 32 bilden. Die Bodenklappen 31-38 bilden den Boden 3 des Behälters. On one longitudinal side of the blank 1 bottom flaps 31-38 forming bottom panels are hinged by fold lines 13 respectively to the narrow sides of the side wall portions 21-28. Respectively to the side wall portion 23 and the side wall portion 27, a bottom flap 33 and 37 is articulated. Along the blank 1, the two bottom flaps 33, 37 at a distance of the three side wall portions 24, 25 and 26 are arranged. The side wall portions 24, 25 and 26 correspond to the side wall portions 28, 21 and 22. On the side wall portions 24, 25, and 26 and on the side wall portions 28, 21 and 22 are stub bottom flaps hinged, the bottom outer flaps 34, 35, 36 and 38, 31, 32 form. The bottom flaps 31-38 form the bottom 3 of the container.

The blank 1 has a standing, perpendicular to the Anlenkfaltlinien 13 shaft 18. The material of the shell part 2 is thicker or stronger than that of the bottom 3, wherein the shell part 2 consist of doppelwelliger and the bottom 3 of single-walled corrugated board.

All fold lines 12, 13 are formed by creasing lines. The bottom flaps 31-38 are articulated by means of double creasing lines, wherein the flaps 31-38 are formed from the same material layer as the outer layer of the shell part 2.

In order to produce the prefabricated flat-lying container 8 according to FIG. 2, starting from the flat blank 1 of FIG. 1, first all bottom flaps 31-38 are turned through 180 °, so that they come to rest against the side wall sections 21-28 which articulate them. Then, the blank with the embossed bottom flaps 31-38 to the side wall sections 24, 25 hinged fold line 120, which halves the shroud, taken by 180 ° and the side wall portion 28 is permanently connected by means of 180 ° embossed factory edge 11 with the side wall portion 21 ,

In the area along the free edge of the prefabricated jacket part 2, a self-adhesive adhesive trace 19, for example in the form of a double-sided adhesive adhesive tape, is applied thereto. The adhesive track is used to extend the container shroud of choice with a sheath telescope part 29 expediently made of double corrugated corrugated board in height.

In addition, between the group of side wall portions 21-24 and the group of side wall portions 25-28 are the bottom flaps 31-38, which are shown in dashed lines in Fig. 2. In the area view of FIG. 2, the bottom flaps come 31-34 above and the bottom flaps 35-38 underneath. All bottom flaps 31-38 are completely within the flat lying shell part 2. It is conceivable, however, that all or part of the outer bottom stub flaps 31, 32, 34, 35, 36 and 38 are not folded in the flat delivery state in the jacket ring, but remain in the flat position of the blank 1.

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 1 and 4, the bottom closure flaps 33, 37 are cut at angles of .alpha. = 135.degree. With respect to the fold lines 13 which articulate them, in order to correspond with the 135.degree. Inner corner angles of the octahedron. The bottom flaps 33, 37 respectively adjacent bottom outer flaps 32, 34 and 36, 38 are formed in pairs the same and separated by simple cut 14 of the flaps 33, 37. The bottom outer flaps 32, 34, 36 and 38 each have the shape of a non-isosceles trapezium, wherein the longer side is determined by the cut 14. The other trapezoid sides of the bottom flaps 32, 34, 36 and 38 are separated from the respective adjacent bottom outer flaps 31 and 35 by triangular, V-shaped cutouts 15 or by cutouts 15 ', which correspond to the half cutout 15, respectively. The cutouts 15, 15 'are determined by a sharp cut-out angle β = 45 °. As a result, adjacent edges of the bottom outer flaps 31, 32; 34, 35 and 35, 36 each at an angle γ = 67.5 ° to the hinged fold lines 13, to correspond to the octahedron Inneneckwinkel of 135 °. The bottom outer flaps 34 and 38 and the bottom outer flaps 31 and 35 correspond to each other.

It can be seen that the two in the pair at the opposite corresponding side wall portions 23, 27 hinged flaps 33, 37 and also all bottom outer flaps 31, 32, 34, 35, 36 and 38 remain free of Faltanlenkung to such adjacent bottom flaps, flat at spanned bottom to come to rest.

As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 3 and 4, the flaps 33 and 37 are cut and dimensioned so that they each correspond to a surface half of the container bottom. They form inner flaps that completely close the bottom in the form of equal half segments of the prism section of the erected container. It can be seen that the bottom flaps (outer flaps) 31, 32, 34, 35, 36 and 38 in total without engagement with the flaps 33, 37 are free below them.

According to the invention, a locking connection between the two bottom closure flaps 33, 37 in the form of an overlapping toothing 4 is formed. This has in the exemplary embodiment on two overlapping sections 41, which are each formed along the free closure flap longitudinal edge 300, which lies opposite the respective flap 33, 37 hinging edge and extends correspondingly longitudinally. The flap longitudinal edges 300 of the two flaps 33, 37 correspond to each other. Each flap longitudinal edge 300 has an offset edge portion 303 at mid-length to form an outboard edge portion 301 and a protruding edge portion 302 by edge offset. Thereby, the overlapping portion 41 is formed along the edge portion 302.

Each offset edge portion 303 is S-cut. It forms a Verhakungselement 51 with Verhakungsnase 511 and hooking bay 512. The Verhakungselemente 51 of the two flaps 33, 37 are correspondingly cut so that they protrude in the longitudinal direction of the shutter-flap longitudinal edges 300 opposite to take hold for locking the bottom 3 in each other. A hooking connection 5 formed thereby is apparent in particular from the views of the bottom surface of the container according to FIGS. 3 and 4. It can be seen that the flaps 33, 37 of the flap pair are point-symmetrical with respect to an imaginary central point 10 of the bottom 3 of the erected container.

The overlapping toothing 4 in the form of hooking connection 5 is of particular importance. The container is erected from its ready-for-delivery flat-lying state shown in FIG. 2 with pressure from the outside against the opposite in this state fold lines 120 and 121 of the container ring. The flat lying container on the container ring offset opposing closure flaps 33, 37 move parallel to two mutually perpendicular main dimensions or directions H1 and H2 of the container bottom 3. Due to restoring force, by the corrugated cardboard material and the Faltanlenkung the closure flaps 33, 37th formed by the fold lines 13, fold the flaps 33, 37 in a pair V-shaped. In this case, the closure flaps 33, 37 are moved toward one another relative to the vertical plane E1 corresponding to the main axis H1. Each longitudinal edge section 301 passes in slide system to the opposite overlapping section 41, wherein the edges 301 are guided towards each other and finally come into impact in the area of the floor center. There, the edges 301 are supported against each other, so that the closure flaps 33, 37 hinging side wall portions 23, 27 are kept at a defined distance, whereby the shroud is held against stressed by the ring forming material restoring force in a clamped form. In addition, the overlaps are made with the sections 41, and also the S-shaped offset edges 303 abut each other in the floor center. Each lug 511 of a closure flap 33, 37 comes to lie against the surface of the other flap 33, 37. With the resulting interlocking connection 5 it is achieved that the clamped flaps 33, 37 are locked in position against each other and against each other and secured. With the protruding in the longitudinal direction of the edge 300 lugs 511 and with the corresponding recessed bays 512 is also achieved that when erecting the container, the roof or V-like to each other coming flaps 33, 37 in the final phase of erection for Automatically catch the floor center and lock it together. It can be seen that the two lugs 511 are moved towards each other during the unfolding of the bottom 3, without being guided past each other. Thus, the lugs 511 are moved with the bays 512 into each other.

The bottom outer flap 31 forms an erected container with clamped bottom 3 an edging for the coming to the side wall portion 21 coming edges 304, 306 of the flaps 33 and 37. Thus, the bottom outer flap 31 engages both under the flap 33 and under the flap 37. The bottom outer flap 32 forms with the side wall portion 22 an edging for the edge 305 of the closure flap 33 to be located on the portion 22. Edge edgings between the corresponding bottom outer flaps 34, 35, 36 and 38 and the side wall portions 24-26 hinging thereto are formed in the same manner and 28 for positively locking the closure flaps 33, 37 along their transverse edges 305-307. As can be seen in particular from FIGS. 3 and 4, the bottom outer flaps 31, 32, 34-36, 38 are arranged, cut and shaped so that along the annular edge of the shell part 2 successive adjacent bottom outer flaps 34-36 and 38, 31, 32 in their Position under the flaps 33, 37 to form the bottom 3 stiffening bottom sectors 39 via their adjacent transverse edges abut one another on impact. This gives a smooth overlap-free surface position of the bottom outer flaps. In addition, the stiffness of the container is increased in directions transverse to the main ground axes H1 and H2 or to the corresponding vertical planes. Also prevent the bottom outer flaps lateral bulges of the filled, standing on a pallet container. It is possible according to the invention to leave at least the majority of the bottom flaps free of Faltanlenkung each other and thus without material connection in bottom sections. In particular, in the middle floor area articulations or fabric connections are avoided. In a modified design, one or more of the outer bottom flaps, namely in the illustrated shell part 2, the bottom outer flaps 32, 34, 35, 36 and / or 38 are folded over the surfaces of the shell part by 90 ° to the outside, in particular fasteners for fastening of the shell part to form a pallet.

In the center of the container, a rectangular tear-off region 17 defined by perforation lines 170 is formed, which is formed by two half-fields 171 punched in each case in a closure flap 33, 37. The tear-open area 17 includes the hooking connection 5. Handling holes serve to separate the panels 171 from the flaps 33, 37 to open the container for draining bulk goods held in an inner bag. To open the inner bag is pierced from the bottom of the pallet. Since the two half-fields 171 are completely cut free at the flap longitudinal edge 300 in the region of the offset edge 303 or in the region of the hooking element 51, it is achieved that the tear-open region 17 is not impaired by the slot-free hooking connection 5 according to the invention.

Parts and elements of the blank 1.1 and the container erectable therefrom, which correspond to those of the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 to 4, have been provided with the same reference numerals. The asymmetrical design of the container arises from the fact that the wall sections 22, 24, 26 and 28, which adjoin the closure flaps 33, 37 hinged wall sections 23, 27, in the form of strips substantially narrower than the wall sections 23, 27 are formed. The between the fields 22, 24, 26 and 28 coming to rest wall portions 21, 23, 25 and 27 are formed along the ring circumference correspondingly longer. As in the embodiment according to Figures 1 to 4, the cutouts 15, 15 'respectively between the bottom outer flaps 31, 32; 34, 35; 35, 36 and 38, 31 cut at an acute angle of 45 ° in order to achieve at the spanned bottom of the erected container each impact the transverse edges of adjacent floor outer flaps. In this case, the bottom outer flaps 32, 34, 36 and 38 are each cut free along a straight line, which extends at flat lying blank 1.1 in extension of the Anlenkfaltlinie 12.

The blanks 1, 1.1 of corrugated board have side wall portions 21-28 which are substantially twice as thick as the bottom panels 31-38. This is achieved in that the side wall portions 21-28 two wave positions and the bottom flaps receive a shaft layer 63. Each blank 1, 1.1 has a material layer which forms the outer layer of the side wall sections 21-28 on the container and from which the bottom panels 31-38 are cut. The jacket parts 2 of the blanks 1, 1.1 are formed by two layers of material forming outer layer and inner layer. Advantageously, the inner layer is formed by a shaft layer and a cover layer, while the outer layer has a cover layers with double-sided covered wave position.
