Claims (7)

  1. Bogie intended to be mounted on a rail-borne vehicle and having a chassis (10) and at least two axles (12) mounted via axle boxes (17) and suspension elements (16) on the chassis, characterised in that the bogie comprises means (70) for dismounting/mounting the axles (12) in a radial direction without dismounting the suspension elements (16), these dismounting/mounting means having axle boxes (17) in at least two parts (60, 64), at least one part (64) of which being able to be moved away in order to free a radial passage to the axle (12).
  2. Bogie as claimed in Claim 1, having an engine group (20) fixed to the chassis (10) connected to at least one of the two axles (12) via a transmission and coupling device (23), characterised in that said dismounting/mounting means (70) have means for at least partially moving the transmission and coupling device (23) away from the axle (12) in an axial direction, the whole arrangement being such that said axle can be removed without dismounting the engine group and the transmission and coupling device.
  3. Bogie as claimed in Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the axle box (17) comprises an upper part (60) fixedly attached to the suspension elements (16) and the chassis (10) and a removable lower part (64), which parts are shaped so as to allow a radial passage of the axle (12) after dismounting the lower part (64), said upper part (60) having a general omega shape with two extended lateral plates (61) against which the suspension elements abut.
  4. Bogie as claimed in Claim 3, characterised in that the axles (12) are provided with roller bearings (32) fixed to the periphery thereof and interposed between the axles (12) and the axle boxes (17), said lower part (64) being shaped so as to allow a radial passage for the roller bearing (32) after dismounting the lower part (46), and so as to allow the axles (12) and the roller bearings (32) fixedly attached thereto to be removed from said upper part (60).
  5. Bogie as claimed in Claim 3, characterised in that said upper part (60) comprises two lateral walls (65) between which the lower part (64) is embedded during assembly thereof, the two lateral plates (61) on which the suspension elements (16) are fixed being arranged on the outer side of the two lateral walls (65).
  6. Bogie as claimed in Claim 2, characterised in that the transmission and coupling device (23) comprises a first front gear (47) intended to co-operate with a second front gear (48) of the axle (12) and at least one elastic element (40, 45) allowing axial displacement of the first front gear (47) to move it away from the second front gear (48) of the axle such that the axle (12) can be removed from the bogie when said lower part (64) is dismounted from the axle box (17).
  7. Bogie as claimed in Claim 6, characterised in that the transmission and coupling device (23) comprises a gear (38) intended to co-operate with the engine group (20) and fixed to an outer plate (39) provided with elastomer elements (40) and fixed to a hollow tube (42) which is fixed to an inner plate (43) provided with elastomer elements (45) and fixedly attached to a disk (46) provided with said front gear (47), the latter being intended to be fixed to the axle (12) by at least one screw (50) which is accessible from the outside via the hollow tube (42).
