Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a cascaded electric lamp module with one or two elongate fluorescent tubes.
  • the luminaire module can be constructed by joining with other luminaire modules, which are electrically connected to each other with plug-in connection means, to a light band selectable length.
  • Each luminaire module has at both ends an end piece, in which electrical connection elements are housed, which interact with the connecting means.
  • the luminaire module contains an electronic ballast.
  • the fluorescent tubes are inserted between tube holders.
  • Such luminaire modules as a single element or light strips are typically found in the lighting of corridors, entrance zones, production, business and care facilities or in the home.
  • Luminaire modules of the genus in question for example, in the patent publications US 5,226,724 and US 5,521,805 as well as the DE 101 15 846 and the company publications "Novelties - Novelties 2002" of REGIOLUX GmbH, D-97486 Königsberg, Germany; and "T4 & T5 Ultra Slim Series” of COBOTEX Inc., Quebec, H9A 3G8, Canada.
  • These luminaire modules can not yet be considered perfect.
  • the disadvantage is that only a limited interconnection is made possible and this part of a considerable installation effort must be driven. Unsatisfactorily solved is often the problem of greater shadowing between adjacent fluorescent tubes, which obviously does not permit even radiation.
  • the invention has for its object to create a pluggable luminaire module in the smallest possible dimension, the functionality of which allows advanced applications and interconnections and can be efficiently produced in series and benefits projecting and mounting side.
  • the shadow formation in a light band is to be reduced to a barely perceptible minimum.
  • the cascading electrical module is fitted with one or two elongate fluorescent tubes.
  • the first luminaire module can be constructed by joining with other luminaire modules, which are electrically connected to each other with plug-in connection means, to a light band selectable length.
  • Each luminaire module has at both ends an end piece, in which electrical connection elements are housed, which interact with the connecting means.
  • the luminaire module contains an electronic ballast.
