Dabei ist es üblich, dass mehrere Raststellungen vorhanden sind, um ein Nachspannen z. B. bei sich dehnenden Wäscheleinen zu ermöglichen. Diese Mehrfachrastungen bringen insofern ein Problem, dass beim Zusammenklappen der Wäschespinne der Rasthebel am Gleitgelenk so lange bedient werden muss, bis dieses über die letzte Rastmöglichkeit nach unten verschoben ist. Eine zusätzliche Bedienungserleichterung wird dadurch erreicht, daß das zweite Gelenk am oberen Ende des Trägers ebenfalls verstellbar ist und zumindest im aufgespannten Zustand der Wäschespinne mit dem Gleitgelenk kraftschlüssig verbunden ist. Dadurch ist es möglich, die Höhe der Wäscheleine im aufgespannten Zustand der Größe der diese bedienenden Person anzupassen. Ein weiterer Vorteil ist darin zu sehen, daß das gesamte Spreizgestell zum Transport der Wäschespinne am Träger verschiebbar ist, so daß der Träger der Wäschespinne die Gesamtgröße des Versandpaketes bestimmt.
