Des Weiteren ist an das Kraftfahrzeug eine Anhängerkupplung 9 mit einer zugeordneten Steckdose 10 angebaut, wobei die Anhängerkupplung 9 durch einen Lastenträger 11 beaufschlagt ist, dessen Beleuchtung 12 über eine endseitig einen Stecker 13 aufweisende Verbindungsleitung 14 mit der Steckdose 10 gekoppelt ist. Claims (7)

  1. A method of remotely controlling the opening or closing of a rear-end hinged-flap (2), in particular a boot lid (1) or a tailgate, of a motor vehicle incorporating a trailer coupling (9) by means of at least one switch (6) in the interior of the vehicle, a radio key (8) and/or a switch (7) arranged in the vicinity of the hinged-flap (2), characterised in that, prior to the opening and/or closing of the hinged-flap (2), a device (15) detects as to whether the trailer coupling (9) is hitched-up, wherein the device (15) comprises a socket (10) which is associated with the trailer coupling (9) and registers the hitched-up state of the trailer coupling (9) when a plug (13) is inserted.
  2. A method in accordance with Claim 1, characterised in that, in the event of a hitched-up trailer coupling (9), the process of opening and/or closing of the hinged-flap (2) by means of the switch in the interior of the vehicle (6) is prevented.
  3. A device for remotely controlling the opening or closing of a rear-end hinged-flap (2), in particular a boot lid (1) or a tailgate, of a motor vehicle provided with a trailer coupling (9), which comprises a control device (5) for the actuating units (3) associated with the hinged-flap (2), wherein said control device is connected to at least one switch (6) in the interior of the vehicle, to a radio key (8) and/or to a switch (7) disposed in the vicinity of the hinged-flap (2), characterised in that the control device (5) is coupled to a device (15) which is arranged to detect a hitched-up trailer coupling (9) and which comprises a socket (10) associated with the trailer coupling (9) and registers the hitched-up state of the trailer coupling (9) when a plug is inserted (13).
  4. A device in accordance with Claim 3, characterised in that the control device (5) prevents the hinged-flap (2) from being opened and/or closed by actuation of the switch (6) in the interior of the vehicle in the case of a hitched-up trailer coupling (9).
  5. A device in accordance with Claim 3, characterised in that the device (15) detects the presence of a lamp filament of a trailer or a load carrier (11) connected to the socket (10).
  6. A device in accordance with Claim 3, characterised in that the device (15) is a component of a parking assistance system, wherein information in regard to a built-on trailer coupling (9) is stored in a control device and the parking assistance system diagnoses a trailer or load carrier (11) hitched to the trailer coupling (9).
  7. A device in accordance with Claim 6, characterised in that the parking assistance system detects the trailer and/or the load carrier (11) fixed to the trailer coupling (9) by means of sensors built into a rear-end bumper.
