Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine mehrstufige Kolbenvakuumpumpe und ein Verfahren zum Betrieb derselben. Die Pumpe besteht aus einem Gehäuse (1) und aus mindestens zwei Schöpfräumen (2) und (4). Zwischen der Ansaugseite (16) und den Schöpfräumen bzw. zwischen den Schöpfräumen selbst besteht ein System von Verbindungsleitungen und Ventilen, über welche die einzelnen Pumpstufen entweder in Paralleloder in Serienschaltung betrieben werden können. Die Verbindungsleitungen und Ventile sind im Pumpengehäuse integriert, so dass eine kompakte und platzsparende Bauweise erreicht wird. Die Länge der Verbindungsleitungen selbst kann auf ein Minimum reduziert werden.

The invention relates to a multi-stage piston vacuum pump and a method for operating the same. The pump consists of a housing (1) and at least two pump chambers (2) and (4). Between the suction side (16) and the pump chambers or between the pump chambers themselves, there is a system of connecting lines and valves, via which the individual pump stages can be operated either in parallel or in series. The connecting lines and valves are integrated in the pump housing, so that a compact and space-saving design is achieved. The length of the connecting lines themselves can be reduced to a minimum.
