Definitions

  • This invention relates to an electronic device for enabling trigger two-color light signals to indicate, preferably, the possibility or not to pass and whose essential characteristics are described below.
  • This signaling is not limited to access to certain meeting rooms or reserved places but also to the access areas of various personnel and even to places where cars must have access, such as parking areas and assimilated.
  • Light warning signs are known from documents US-A-5966069 FR-A-2563929 and US-A-4680689.
  • the invention relates to a device according to claim 1.
  • the device necessary to implement the required function must have a control element which can be located in a suitable place for a quick and convenient triggering by the person (s) responsible for checking access and which will be provided with light signals indicating the situation in which is the access control device.
  • a light panel provided with diodes having different colors, alternating and aligned on each side of it; the panel translucent and flat will be completely illuminated, uniformly, to give the effect chromatic desired, and it will also be provided with a transparent plate located above and which may have various graphics, letters or drawings, which will be viewed in permanently or at certain times, depending on the color that the translucent panel lower will take when illuminated.
  • the special arrangement of the diodes forming the light system which is a essential characteristic of this invention, allows to obtain as it was already said, the complete and uniform illumination of this translucent panel, following the definition luminous through the mass of this panel, generally made of plastic, appropriate physical characteristics. All of this gives the whole effect chromatic desired, in accordance with the colors of the diodes which will be activated.
  • These diodes generally known as LEDs (light emitting diodes) will allow a correct operation of the assembly without any risk of increase in temperatures given the special and precise characteristics of these elements luminescent which cause light without causing heat.
  • the device object of this invention is completed by elements electrical and electronic trigger and control required to receive and transmit the pulses from the control element, evaluate them and carry out the LEDs required.
  • the electronic device by triggering access signals to the passage object of this invention provides a practical and economical solution, easy to install and allowing the rapid placement of this access control system, in accordance with this which was described above.
  • the device comprises a switch (1) and a group of electronic elements (2) provided with capacitors, rectifiers, resistors and other suitable and a luminous and generally two-color sign (3), all suitably connected.
  • the switch (1) is provided with a two-color indicator lamp (4) with which the person who triggers will have the exact position marker that the device indicates, preferably red for "no access” and green for "access”.
  • this group (2) is the terminal strip (8) where the two outputs (7) from the switch (1), as well as a connection to the neutral phase (5).
  • connection (9) and (10) which will be connected to the light-emitting diodes (11).
  • This electronic device or assembly (2) has been shown opposite the Figure 1, separate from the light panel (3), although in a practical implementation and given the very small dimensions that the electrical elements now have and that are used in functions such as those required, it may be placed inside the support of the own panel (3) as shown in Figure 2.
  • the light panel (3) consists of a flat rectangular plate (3a), preferably made of a translucent plastic material, a series of diodes (11) to different color, aligned and alternating being located on each of its sides. Arranged from this way, and because of the own physical characteristic of the mass of the plate (3a) which constitutes the panel (3), it is illuminated by the diodes (11) located near its edges, an illumination which is total and uniform on the whole plate and with all the effect of the desired color, that of the activated diodes and which is visible through its surface end.
  • the entire light panel (3) will advantageously follow the shape modular translucent plate (3a) mounted on a standardized frame (12) of the kind support for an electrical device to be installed recessed or surface, having an appearance identical to that of the switch (1) installed on a similar frame (12).
  • a leaf-substrate (13) is located on the specular surface whose object is reflect the brightness of the plate (3a) even more outwards, thus taking advantage of the more possible of the light effect.
  • a opaque film or sheet (14) which will cover part of the plate (3a) and which may possibly have various openings (14a) through which the light will be visible, obtaining various effects for the observer, as desired.
  • the entire light panel (3) is completed by the transparent cover (15) fixed to the support frame (12) which may also optionally have various graphics (15a) such as drawings, letters or numbers, which will be sufficiently visible from the outside due to the brightness of the plate (3a) located below and they will even have appropriate shades.
  • various graphics (15a) such as drawings, letters or numbers, which will be sufficiently visible from the outside due to the brightness of the plate (3a) located below and they will even have appropriate shades.
  • the change of position of the switch (1) will cause the establishment of the connection which will activate the group of diodes (LED) (11), corresponding to the color or desired colors.
