Description

The present invention relates to a vacuum cleaner nozzle, and more particularly an improvement in the comfort of use of such a nozzle.

Vacuum cleaner nozzles are waste collection devices soiling the surface to be cleaned. They are therefore the subject of numerous improvements aimed in particular at improving the efficiency of such a collection. It is notably known to use a brush housed in the part bottom of the squeegee, in contact with the surface to be cleaned, said brush being animated by a rotary movement requesting the surface to be cleaned, and in particular carpet-like surfaces to remove encrusted waste.

Document US 1,347,166 proposes, associated with such a brush, a window transparent inspection hemispherical, located between the suction head and the body of the device, and allowing inspection of objects once sucked into the internal canal of the head.

More recently, the concept of user comfort and maneuverability has become important for the user. Thus, document US 5,896,618 proposes a halogen type lighting device arranged in the front part of the nozzle so that to illuminate the surface to be cleaned. Such a device is however relatively expensive and requires the presence of a current source at the nozzle. Such additional elements make handling the squeegee more difficult.

One of the objects of the present invention is to facilitate the collection of waste on a surface to be cleaned, in a simple way, without complicating the structure of the squeegee to maintain ease of movement and handling the squeegee.

The present invention is achieved using a vacuum cleaner nozzle comprising a sole intended to move on a surface to be cleaned, as well as a cover covering the sole, said nozzle having a delimited suction channel by walls, said channel being open towards the surface to be cleaned, a portion walls defining the suction channel being transparent, in order to constitute a window for viewing the surface located under the nozzle, characterized by that said transparent portion delimiting the suction channel is provided in the sole, said cover comprising an opening directly above said transparent portion of the suction channel.

The creation of a window for viewing the surface to be cleaned at the level the vacuum cleaner nozzle improves the ease of cleaning floors since it allows, by the visual control thus generated, on the one hand to target the waste to aspirate, and on the other hand to quickly control the good aspiration of these and this, without waiting for the complete passage of the nozzle on said waste. This provision is all the more favorable to the rapid cleaning control. soils since the area actually under the suction flow is visualized.

The hood, in addition to the aesthetic functions it brings, is often necessary to protect certain relatively fragile internal parts of the squeegee (brush actuators, ...). It can include a covering in material of the type rubber to avoid damaging the objects it is likely to meet when is moved to the floor to be cleaned.

In addition, by closing the suction channels with one or more pieces independent of the hood and attached to the sole, just a simple opening at the hood to obtain the desired effect. Such a arrangement provides a compact structure.

In addition, such a nozzle, without its cover, can already be tested at the level of performance and in particular sealing.

Furthermore, the cover masking the connections between the transparent part or parts and the sole, the waterproofing can be improved without worrying about creating zones which can damage the squeegee environment and / or harm the aesthetics of the squeegee.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the transparent portion of the walls is made of plastic.

Advantageously, the transparent portion of the walls forms a surface substantially flat and parallel to the surface to be cleaned, which makes it possible to widen the field of vision and facilitate waste control.

Advantageously, the viewing window has a slightly convex shape in order to present a magnifying glass effect for viewing the surface to be cleaned.

The present invention also relates to the production of a dust vacuum cleaner including in particular a motor group capable of generating a flow air intake in conduits terminated by a nozzle open to the surface to be cleaned, characterized in that this nozzle conforms to one of the peculiarities previously described.

The present invention will be better understood with the aid of the description which follows, with reference to the appended figures, among which:
  • FIG. 1 shows, in a schematic elevation view, a nozzle according to the present invention,
  • FIGS. 2 to 4 show other forms of implementation of the invention,
  • Figure 5 shows another embodiment of the present invention.

As shown in Figure 1, the present invention relates to a nozzle 1 vacuum. Such a nozzle has a conduit 2 for connection to a body vacuum cleaner, not shown, having in particular a motor-fan likely to create an air suction flow.

The conduit 2 opens at the level of the squeegee sole, in contact with the floor 4 to be cleaned, in the form of a suction channel. This channel is generally configured according to the shape of the squeegee, in order to optimize efficiency suction. In the example presented where the nozzle is triangular in shape, the suction channel 10, as shown in dotted lines, extends partly along of the two edges 5, 6 forming the tip of the nozzle, as well as in said tip 7 of the squeegee.

Furthermore, in the embodiment presented, the nozzle has retractable brushes actuated by a pivoting or sliding pedal 8. This pedal 8 is accessible at the level of the cover 12 of the nozzle.

The present invention consists in making a window 14 at least in an area in which a suction channel is formed.

As it is clearly visible in FIG. 1, the porthole 14 constitutes a portion of the channel suction, allowing to visualize the waste 16 of the surface being cleaning. Depending on the shape of the squeegee and the suction channel (s), the porthole can cover a larger field than that of the suction channel, so adjust the aim of the waste to be extracted from the ground.

Advantageously, this porthole has a magnifying glass effect, by presenting a convex shape. Thus, the waste 17 under the viewing area is magnified, thus improving the visualization of the surface.

Figures 2 to 4 illustrate other forms of viewing window.

Thus, in Figure 2, the squeegee 20 has a viewing area 22 of the surface in cleaning course of triangular shape, recalling the general shape of the crevice tool, which allows you to associate the viewing area with the advantages of use linked to the triangular shape of the squeegee (easier handling especially).

In FIG. 3, the viewing area 32 of the nozzle 30 is oblong in surrounding the connection area of the suction channel to the duct 2 of connection, which also allows visualization of waste entering in said conduit.

La figure 4 est à rapprocher de la figure 1 puisque, pour le suceur 40 présenté, la zone de visualisation 42 couvre sensiblement toute la longueur du canal d'aspiration, en s'étendant jusqu'à la pointe 47 du suceur, ainsi que le long des bords 45, 46 formant ladite pointe du suceur triangulaire.FIG. 4 is to be compared to FIG. 1 since, for the nozzle 40 presented, the viewing area 42 covers substantially the entire length of the channel suction, extending to the tip 47 of the nozzle, as well as along the edges 45, 46 forming said tip of the triangular nozzle.

Le canal d'aspiration débouche avantageusement par une ouverture 60 dans la pointe avant 57 du suceur.FIG. 5 presents a preferred implementation of the invention where it is perfectly visible that the suction channel is closed by a structure internal. Thus, the nozzle 50 is of triangular shape, in particular having two edges 55, 56 forming a point 57. The nozzle has a sole 52 the underside of which has a substantially similar suction channel 54 to that shown in Figure 1. It thus extends from edge 55 to edge 56 of the nozzle where it opens into two openings, respectively 58, 59 on the front edge of the sole. The suction channel advantageously opens out through an opening 60 in the front tip 57 of the squeegee.

According to this exemplary embodiment, the suction channel is produced in part during of the manufacturing by molding of the sole, such as the parts of the channel suction 62, 64, extending along the edges and opening through the openings 58, 59. It is the same for the part 66 opening, by the opening 60, in the tip 57 of the nozzle.

Selon l'exemple présenté, la pièce 68 vient coiffer l'extrémité des parties 62, 64, 66.According to the invention, the viewing area is produced by a part transparent 68 attached to the sole. This transparent piece comes in complement of parts 62, 64, 66 from the sole to close the channel suction. Thus, this transparent part is in continuity with the parts 62, 64, 66. According to the example presented, the piece 68 comes to cap the end of the parts 62, 64, 66.

The part 68 comprises, moreover, a rear part 70 in relation to the end 53 of the connection conduit. This piece is reported on the sole 52 by three screws at locations 72. Other equivalent means, such as clips, can be used to attach the transparent part to the sole.

Advantageously, the transparent part comprises a circular part 74 which can be flat or slightly convex, in order to offer better visualization of the floor being cleaned.

Therefore, such a nozzle, by closing the suction channel, is operational. The presence of an upper cover, for the sole purpose of covering and protection, can present, vis-à-vis the transparent window and in particular circular part 74, either a second porthole, or a simple opening, since sealing is no longer necessary.
