Abstract

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Auftragen eines Beschichtungsmittels auf ein Substrat mit wenigstens einem eine mittels eines Verschlussorgans (7), das mittels einer zugeordneten Positioniereinrichtung positionierbar ist, hinsichtlich ihrer wirksamen Austrittsfläche veränderbare Düsenöffnung (6) aufweisenden Sprühventil (4), an dem das Substrat vorbeibewegbar ist und dem das Beschichtungsmittel über eine Versorgungsleitung (11) mit Druck zuführbar ist. lässt sich dadurch eine hohe Genauigkeit bei geringem Wartungsaufwand erreichen, dass das Verschlussorgan (7) mittels der zugeordneten Positioniereinrichtung (8) permanent innerhalb eines vorgegebenen Einstellfelds einstellbar ist, wobei der Positioniereinrichtung (8) ein Regler (16) zugeordnet ist, der zumindest einen Sollwert-Eingang (17) für die momentan benötigte Ausflussrate des Beschichtungsmittels aus dem Sprühventil (4) und wenigstens einen Istwert-Eingang (18) für den Massendurchsatz durch einen der Düsenöffnung (6) vorgeordneten Versorgungsabschnitt aufweist und der aus der Regelabweichung ein die Positioniereinrichtung (8) im Sinne einer Aufhebung der Regelabweichung beeinflussendes Stellsignal bildet.
