Description

The invention relates to security features, preferably tear strips or threads, to identify the originality of products by the manufacturer or authorized Controlling bodies.

Through product piracy and unauthorized production of various branded products For example, in the pharmaceutical, textile and cosmetics industries and in the Spare parts industry causes the original producers enormous material damage and image losses. In product piracy and unauthorized production of high-priced consumer goods, which do not correspond to the quality of the original, is the manufacturer as well It is also important for a large proportion of consumers to be able to check the authenticity of the goods. For this they are usually provided with visible security features. When Security features, for example, holograms are applied to the products. A Another possibility is to package the products with security features to provide. For example, to open the packaging to the packaging material threads, ribbons or strings are inserted around. As a security feature are these so-called Tear-up usually designed differently colored, equipped with a tactile material thickness and partly provided with a sharp, noticeable edge. An end to these tears is usually designed as a free-hanging, convenient for the user tab. The design of this flap - for example, the shape, length or width - is used as proof of originality.

Although for non-high-quality products usually waived this effort and often the tearing thread is made of the same material as the package is to observe more and more often that the characteristics used so far for labeling of originality are insufficient to effectively protect the original. Due to the progressive Development of the technologies that are also accessible to the counterfeiter are the originality and security features, however, easy to imitate and manufacture. The requirement After increasing the technological hurdle for counterfeiters is getting bigger.

In many sectors of industry, manufacturers are suffering considerable losses so-called "gray goods". Most consumers have "gray goods" no particular interest in an authenticity check. The goods correspond to the original and is usually available at a much lower price. Here is the main interest an authenticity check with the manufacturer. It does not become covert and human visual recognizable security features preferably used. Consumers are being influenced by design changes not unsettled. Ignorance of the nature and location of the security features should prevent the counterfeiter in the production z. B. the packaging for "gray goods" on the testing technology and test equipment can adjust. A general problem both at the product piracy as well as at the unauthorized production represents the unauthorized Production of packaging and outer packaging or even the theft of those, with which the fakes or the gray goods are packed and thus originality is simulated, dar.

Furthermore, tear threads with individual metallized sections used, wherein within these metallized sections demetallisierte zones, which represent in particular figures or letters, and / or the metallized Portions represent holograms. But also the combination of the optically effective security feature with an electrically effective feature color for coding information is described.

Durch die Strukturierung mittels Masken oder anderer Abdeckungen wird keine genügend hohe Auflösung erreicht. bzw. sind deren Nutzungsdauer zu gering.DE 198 08 288 A1 proposes individual sections of the tear thread preferably to be metallized with a coating thickness of 70 nm to 200 nm and to demetallate zones within these metallized sections, for example Representing figures or letters. Compatibility with the previously used Manufacturing methods and technological production speeds are not given. By structuring using masks or other covers will not be enough high resolution achieved. or are their useful lives too low.

Also known are metallization coatings produced by printing. Coatings produced by means of metallic printing inks allow a higher resolution depending on the type of printing, for example with scattered prints too. The binder selection allows the setting of the partial surface resistances. The brilliance of the surface is below the surfaces produced by vacuum coating processes. For security features, realized by metallization with partial surface resistance changes At the same time the highest possible brilliance of the surface, are no applicable industrial Technologies, especially vacuum technologies, because the usual processing or manufacturing speeds of ≥ 500 m / min can not be achieved.

All the above, various security features, precautions and techniques are increasingly dominated by counterfeiters on a large scale and mostly already applied industrially, so that increasingly in all markets fakes and "gray goods" are offered in orders of magnitude.

The object of the invention, in addition to overcoming the disadvantages of the Known art, tearing tapes or strings, for identifying the originality of products to be proposed by the manufacturer or authorized regulatory bodies. From the optional only known to the manufacturer or the authorized control body combination of metallized Surfaces, surface brilliance, electrically conductive surfaces and surface resistance changes are to be proposed for the counterfeiter unconquerable technological hurdles.

The security features according to the invention are made of several different ones Components, encoders and electrically conductive layers constructed, these in different arrangement are connected to a carrier substrate. Layers themselves known electrically conductive polymers are used. These security features provide According to this invention tear strips, which with a packaging, for example pressed, glued or sealed, are connected. Prerequisite for the use of electrical conductive polymer layers in combination with a metallization layer is one significant difference between the surface resistances (≈ 100 kΩ / □), in particular is a very high electrical surface resistance of the metallization required (≈ 200 kΩ / □). Achieve the market and applied metallization technologies low surface resistances.

In particular, the coating by means of electrically conductive polymer, for. B. Polyethylendioxythiophenpolystyrolsulfonat (PEDT / PSS) in combination with a metallization layer is to be used as a technological hurdle for counterfeiters, whereby the PEDT / PSS characterized by a sheet resistance in the range of 15-100 kΩ / □. On PE films is achieved using a primer, a sheet resistance of 50 kΩ / □.

The polymer layer is applied areally or partially, preferably surface modulated or applied as a scattering pressure. Due to the partially Changing surface resistances creates a readable coding. This in turn can be easily detect in different ways, in particular by means of capacitive coupling. Advantageous is a possible mechanical dual physical testing of the electrically conductive Polymers PEDT / PSS, which on the one hand, the electrical conductivity, on the other hand optical property detected, for example in the IR range. The IR properties are with increasing wavelength (> 900 nm) and the order weight or the layer thickness effectively available. By absorption and wavelength change measurable characteristics are given. This double check will increase the likelihood of identifying counterfeits, or the error rate of the unrecognized forgeries or else the error rate the genuine counterfeit products.

A metallized surface to be used according to the invention - in particular with high brilliance, which would be expected to have good electrical conductivity has, which could include an electrically conductive security feature or even itself represents a safety feature via coded surface resistance changes - provides a Another hurdle for a counterfeiter, since the task, function and operation of the metallized Surface neither to suspect nor are obvious.

More particularly, the invention relates to security features, preferably tearing tapes threads to identify the originality of products by the manufacturer or authorized control bodies. The tear strips consist of substrates, of planar or streussaft metallized applications with a defined sheet resistance and out electrically conductive polymers, also with a defined sheet resistance. According to The invention relates to sheet resistance of areally or braided metallized applications greater than 200 kΩ / □, and the sheet resistance of electrically conductive polymers is on the order of 15 to 100 kΩ / □. The difference between the surface resistances of the applications and the electrically conductive polymers is greater than 100 kΩ / □. This type of tearing tapes according to the invention is connected to packaging.

The structure of the tear strips - so the arrangement of substrates, electrically conducting polymers, planar or scattered metallized applications, protective coatings, Release agents and / or adhesive layers - is selected depending on the destination, wherein the individual layers are interchangeable. As a release agent find preferably siliconized layers or transfer tapes or layers application. Depending on Purpose and applied manufacturing technology are primers used, wherein the primers serve both as a primer and for smoothing according to the invention of coated substrates are suitable. The electrically conductive polymers, the areal or streuhaft metallized applications, the substrates, possibly also the Protective layers and the primers are arranged according to the invention as coding means, that their electrical or optical or magnetic effects by means of capacitive Coupling are detectable, so find application as coding.

According to the invention is also provided, the electrically conductive polymers applied partially or surface modulated or partially surface modulated. Also for this Case is a resulting coding capacitive detectable. Also partial or surface modulated or partially-surface-modulated applied areally or scattered metallized applications can be detected as coding by means of capacitive coupling.

According to the invention, the coding means of the security features are physical or chemically influenced. In particular, by energy supply in the form of visible Light, UV, IR or thermal radiation react the coding for the examiner perceptible as authenticity or originality feature either in the tear strips or in Connection with the packaging. It is also within the scope of the invention, reaction colors as Coding to use, with the individual components of reaction colors through Contacting react with each other and thus serve as evidence of authenticity or originality. The electrically conductive polymer to be used according to the invention is preferably one Polyethylene dioxythiophene polystyrene sulfonate (PEDT / PSS).

A particular embodiment of the invention provides for subbands to put together a tear tape. The individual subbands can - as already described - Of substrates, of areal or scattered metallized applications and consist of electrically conductive polymers, wherein the individual subbands also made Protective layers, release coatings, adhesive layers and a primer can exist. The selection and arrangement of the individual layers depends on the desired Use and after the processing technology. Different surface resistances individual layers in the subbands are also within the scope of the invention. The same or produced with different structure sub-bands result on their own or in addition after their connection to a tear tape encodings. Be coded first the assembly of subbands formed, so is their tailor-made Zusammenbringung an essential requirement. All coding on the subbands and on the Tear tape can be aligned differently on the surface to be applied.

Beispiel 1:Example 1:

Die Schichten sind wahlweise austauschbar.FIG. 1 shows a product in film packaging 2 with a tear strip 1 which is pressed, glued or sealed, for example, with the film package 2 . The tear tape 1 is usually formed as a flat film, which is stronger than the film package 2. Use find tear threads 1 , which have a thickness of about 30-50 microns and a width of 1 mm to 2 mm. For better identification, the tear tape 1 is often colored and thus stands out clearly from the film package 2 . To grasp the tear strip 1 this is at the beginning on the film packaging 2 protruding formed as a tab 3 . In FIG. 1 b, a tearing strip 1 according to the invention for identification of the originality by the manufacturer or authorized inspection bodies is shown schematically as a section. It essentially contains a substrate 10, an areal or scattered metallized application or application layer 13 and an electrically conductive polymer 12 having a sheet resistance of the order of 15-100 kΩ / □, wherein the difference between the sheet resistance of the surface or scattered metallized layer 13 and the sheet resistance of the electrically conductive polymer 12 is greater than 100 kΩ / □. The layers are optionally interchangeable.

Beispiel 2:Example 2:

In this exemplary embodiment, the substrate 10 is provided with a planar metallized layer 13 with a sheet resistance greater than 200 kΩ / □. The electrically non-visible electrically conductive polymer 12 - here a Polyethylendioxythiophenpolystyrolsulfonat - indicates here the manufacturer and the date of manufacture and is shown in Figure 1c.

Beispiel 3:Example 3:

A substrate 10 is smoothed with a primer 11 . On this is the electrically conductive polymer 12, which in turn is provided with a primer 11 if necessary. This is followed by the metallized layer 13 and, if required by application, a final protective layer 14, wherein a primer 11 may also be required between the metallized layer 13 and the protective layer 14 . On the protective layer 14 may also be a color paint - not shown in the figure 2a - be applied for optical finishing. It is also conceivable that the protective layer 14 consists of such a lacquer layer. The position of the electrically conductive polymer 12 can be interchanged with the metallized layer 13 . The primers 11 used can each also act as adhesion promoters. In addition, the tear tape 1 contains an adhesive layer 15 for connection to the film package 2. If the tear tape 1 is pressed or sealed with the film package 2 , the adhesive layer 15 can be dispensed with. Since the tear tape 1 is usually wound on rollers, it makes sense to provide one side of it with a release agent 9, in particular a silicone film. As a release agent 9 , the tear strip 1 can also be provided with a transfer belt 16 (FIG. 2c), the transfer belt 16 containing adjustment means 8, for example perforations, magnetic tracks or optical marks for the positionally accurate application of the tear strip 1 on the film package 2 .

Beispiel 4:Example 4:

In a modification of Example 3, in this embodiment - shown in Figure 2b - the substrate 10 coated on both sides, wherein on one side of the substrate 10 , an electrically conductive polymer 12 and on the other side, the metallized layer 13 is located.

Beispiel 5:Example 5:

Another variant is shown in FIG. 2c. Two subbands 30; 31 are manufactured and connected independently of each other. The subbands 30; 31 are, for example glued or pressed or sealed and together form the tear strip 1. The one sub-strip 30 consists, among other layers of a substrate 10 and the electrically conductive polymer 12 and the other sub-band 31 consists essentially of a substrate 10 and the metallized layer 13 , Depending on the intended future use and depending on technological possibilities, the essential layers of the sub-bands 30; 31 interchangeable and the subbands 30, 31 are joined together at different locations.

Beispiel 6:Example 6:

(hierzu Figur 3a)In a further embodiment of the tear strip 1 or the subbands 30; 31 , the electrically conductive polymer 12 is applied surface modulated. FIG. 3 a illustrates the schematic structure of a section of a tear strip 1. Due to the different application thickness and the resulting surface resistances, this results in coding. In this embodiment, the modulated sheet resistances represent a specific coding of the manufacturer. (see FIG. 3a)

Beispiel 7:Example 7:

This example describes a tear strip 1 or subbands 30; 31 similar to that described in Example 6, wherein the electrically conductive polymer 12 is partially applied. As shown in FIG. 3b, the partial orders of polymer 12 result in partially varying surface resistances, which in turn serve as codes and can represent production data such as logistical routes, batches, destinations, product classes or serial numbers.

Beispiel 8:Example 8:

Varying from examples 6 and 7, with reference to FIG. 3c, a further embodiment of the tear strip 1 or of the subbands 30; 31 presented. The electrically conductive polymer 12 is partially applied, and the respective sections of the partial jobs are applied surface modulated. Due to the thereby partially changing surface resistances, a coding is produced which represents the manufacturer and the date of manufacture and by the area-modulated sections a coding representing a specific coding of the manufacturer.

Beispiel 9:Example 9:

According to this embodiment, one or more codes are combined according to the examples 6, 7 and / or 8 proposed, wherein these are realized in different surface directions. Thus, for example, the electrically conductive polymer 12 in a surface direction partially planar-ununulated - see Example 8 - applied and partially in another area direction - see Example 7 - applied, with different codings in both directions.

Beispiel 10:Example 10:

In a further embodiment of the tear strip 1 or the subbands 30; 31 , a primer 11, such as the electrically conductive polymer 12 in Examples 6 to 9, is applied partially or surface modulated or partially surface modulated. The resulting structure of the primer application 11 is transferred as a master structure to the applied layer of electrically conductive polymer 12 and / or a metallized layer 13. Encoding results as described in Examples 6 to 9.

Beispiel 11:Example 11:

Figure 4a shows a common flow path for a tearing tape 1. An authorized manufacturer of security features manufactures the tearing tape 1 and provides it to the packer. The possibilities for product pirates or unauthorized producers to access this booklet 1 are manifold and unfortunately often incomprehensible to the controlling party. As shown in Figure 4a, the original tear tape 1 is "branched off" during transport to the packer, for example. FIG. 4b shows in separate logistics a flow of goods as by the use of the tearing strip 1 according to the invention , consisting of two or more components. Two yarn component manufacturers make parts of a tear tape 1 and deliver it to the packer. These subbands 30; 31 are preferably connected to one another by the usual methods of transfer - shown in Figure 5 - only at the packer and represent each by itself coding or by the combination of codings. Advantageously, the sub-bands 30; 31 or the combination of subbands 30; 31 compatible with the usual systems. The thickness of the individual subbands 30; 31 is to be chosen so that the total thickness of the tearing strip 1 does not exceed the commonly used thickness of 30-50 microns. The combination achieves a much higher level of security since two components reach the user via different distribution channels. The two separately supplied components create a very high threshold for counterfeiters and criminals or unauthorized producers and is shown in FIG. 4 b by broken arrows. As already explained above, each sub-band 30; 31 alone or the combination of subbands 30; 31 represent a coding. From the combination of two sub-bands 30; 31 creates a coded tear tape 1. The origin of the coding is shown in FIG. Only through the accurate matching of the two sub-bands 30; 31 produces the desired coding, which represents the originality of the product. Different coding versions are by targeted offset when bringing together both sub-bands 30; 31 to achieve. The individual coding means can have different, preferably electrical, magnetic, optical effects. Due to their number, arrangement, geometry and properties or their combination detectable detections arise for the examiner. In this embodiment, the coding of the sub-band 30, the production site 20 and the coding of the sub-band 31, the production data 21 represents.

Beispiel 12:Example 12:

In a modification to Example 11 are in this preferred embodiment, the coding of the individual sub-band 30; 31 incomplete and give only in combination a tear tape 1 with a decipherable or detectable coding. In particular, the individual sub-bands 30; 31 also have coding, which are physically influenced, for example by energy supply, in particular in the form of visible light, UV, IR or heat radiation or else by chemical influence. It is also within the scope of the invention to provide the individual subbands 30, 31 with components of a reaction dye which react upon contact with one another.

Beispiel 13:Example 13:

Using the variants described in the examples, coding is activated only by connecting a tearing strip 1 to a package. The result is a decipherable or detectable coding by combining the tear strip 1 with markings of the packaging, for example, by the positionally accurate connection of the tear strip 1 with a film package . 2
