Claims (11)

  1. A performance hall, notably a theatre with at least one item of scenery (2) and a system (3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11) for positioning said scenery at height, a load-bearing cable (3) being fixed to the scenery (2) on the one hand and being linked on the other hand to a winch (8),
    characterised in that:
    the winch (8) consists of a drum (10) driven rotationally by a motor and a strap (11) wound around a drum and connected to a load-bearing cable, the winding or unwinding of the strap around the drum bringing about the deplacement of the load-bearing cable to raise or lower one or more item of scenery; and
    methods (20, 21, 22) of regulating the motor are provided designed to regulate the speed of the motor according to the length of the unwound strap.
  2. Theatre according to claim 1, characterised in that the speed of the motor is regulated so that the speed of unwinding or winding of the strap is constant whatever the length of the unwound strap on the drum.
  3. Theatre according to claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the drum has a diameter of between 100m and 500mm.
  4. Theatre according to claims 1, 2 or 3, characterised in that the winch is linked to the load-bearing cable by the inclusion of a slider (5), sliding along tracks (6), notably fixed to one wall of the hall.
  5. Theatre according to claims 1, 2, 3 or 4, characterised in that the winch is fixed to a strap (11), itself connected to the slider.

Theatre according to claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the control methods consist of a reversible moto-reducer (20), a conversion module (21) and a converter-deconverter (22), the converter-deconverter calculating the speed of the motor and sending it to the conversion module, the latter thus controlling the moto-reducer and then the output speed of the motor according to the information received from the converter.
