Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein wenigstens zweiteiliges Inseminationsbesteck für die künstliche Besamung von Nutztieren, insbesondere Schweinen, umfassend einen Besamungskatheter mit einem Katheterschaft, bestehend aus einem Kunststoffrohr mit einer Verdickung am distalen Ende, und ein Gegenstück hierzu, nämlich eine Spermatube mit einer Abgabetülle, zur Aufnahme des zu applizierenden Spermas. Bei der künstlichen Besamung wird das zumeist bereits einige Tage alte oder aus tiefgefrorenem Lagerzustand aufgetaute Sperma einerseits möglichst sparsam, andererseits aber doch so reichlich, daß eine gute Befruchtungseffizienz erzielt wird, und außerdem möglichst schonend und ohne Druckstöße, die das Sperma schädigen könnten, appliziert. Bei der Schweinebesamung, bei der je Applikation relativ große Mengen an Sperma verabreicht werden müssen, wird das eingangs genannte Inseminationsbesteck verwendet, nämlich jeweils für den Einmalgebrauch ein Besamungskatheter und eine Spermatube. Der übliche Besamungskatheter besteht aus einem etwa 50 cm langen Kunststoffrohr mit einem Außendurchmesser von 7 mm und einem Innendurchmesser von 5 mm, das an seiner distalen Spitze einen auf die Anatomie des Schweins abgestimmten verdickten Kopf, insbesondere einen Schaumstoffkörper, aufweist. Die Tuben sind üblicherweise Tuben aus einem flexiblen Kunststoff, insbesondere aus Polyäthylen niedriger Dichte, mit einem Füllungsvolumen in der Größenordnung von bis zu 100 ml. Zur Durchführung der Besamung werden die Tube und der Katheter gekoppelt, indem in das hintere, proximale Rohrende des in situ befindlichen Besamungskatheters die Tülle der Spermatube eingesteckt wird, nachdem die Tüllenspitze abgetrennt worden ist, und wird der Tubeninhalt durch den Katheter hindurch appliziert. Zum schonenden Einführen des Tubeninhalts wird beispielsweise das nach außen überstehende Stück des Katheterschafts leicht nach oben gebogen, so daß der Tubeninhalt durch die Schwerkraft weiterbefördert wird. Für diese Einführung wird ihm ausreichend Zeit gelassen. Es ergibt sich nun, daß die Koppelung der Tube am Katheterende, wenn sie nun durch das Einstecken der konischen Tülle in den Katheterschaft bewirkt wird, Probleme bereitet, die dadurch verstärkt werden, daß das Schwein dazu neigt, durch Wedeln mit dem Schwanz die Tube vom Katheter zu schlagen. Durch die Erfindung soll ein Inseminationsbesteck geschaffen werden, das mit kleinerem Aufwand herstellbar ist und das Halten der Spermatube am proximalen Katheterende erleichtert. Dies wird, ausgehend von einem Inseminationsbesteck mit einem Innengewinde im Katheterschaft, dadurch erreicht, daß die Abgabetülle der Tube von ursprünglich glatter Außenfläche ist und durch Eindrehen in das Innengewinde des Katheterschafts zur Bildung eines Außengewindes verformbar ist. Durch diese Maßnahme ergibt sich mit nur einem einzigen vorgeschnittenen Gewinde ein formschlüssiger Halt der Abgabetülle der Tube im Katheterschaft und dadurch ein ausreichend stabiler Halt, der dem Besamer die Handhabung des Besamungsvorgangs insbesondere bei einer zeitlich ausgedehnteren Applikation erleichtert. Polypropylen ist demgegenüber härter und ist obendrein biegbar bei guter Knickfestigkeit. An sich käme auch Hart-PVC in Frage, dieses hat aber eine mangelhafte Knickfestigkeit. Das Gewinde kann in Abhängigkeit vom Schaft-Innendurchmesser z. B. ein Standard-M6-Gewinde sein, mit einer Gewindesteigung in der Größenordnung von 1 mm und einer Gewindetiefe in der Größenordnung von 0,6 mm. Es kann - unter der Voraussetzung, daß die Länge der Abgabentülle 28 mm beträgt - 10 bis 20 mm weit in den Katheterschaft eingeschnitten sein.
