Der Ausschnitt kann sich über einen großen Teil der Fläche der Sichtseite erstrecken, so dass die optische Gestaltung des Querelements den ästhetischen Gesamteindruck eines Betrachters von dem Abstellbehälter bestimmt, und der Korpus demgegenüber in der Wahrnehmung des Betrachters in den Hintergrund tritt. Der Korpus kann daher für eine Vielzahl von Modellen oder Modellreihen einheitlich gefertigt werden, eine Anpassung des Abstellbehälters an ein gewünschtes Erscheinungsbild der Kältegeräte einer Modellreihe kann ausschließlich mit Hilfe des Querelements erfolgen.
