Definitions
- the invention relates to a lighting element according to the preamble of claim 1.
- lighting elements are well known, see, for example, lighting elements of the shuttle lamp type or having type-to-type contacts. rigid loop.
- the invention also relates to a luminaire according to the preamble of claim 15.
- a luminaire is for example known from the document WO-A-01/07828 .
- White lights for lighting may have weak color components, most often red, yellow or blue. However, when it comes to lighting, an element of this type must necessarily provide a significant white light component.
- LEDs For about twenty years, new light sources called LEDs have appeared on the market. These LED's, which usually do not have a high brightness, are used to mark roads, walls, or signs. This markup and indication function is usually performed with colored LEDs, ie red, blue, green, yellow LEDs, etc. These markings are made to indicate paths or obstacles and are of low light intensity, so as not to dazzle. LEDs used for markup offer the advantage of having, unlike light bulbs of all kinds, an extremely long life, of the order of 100'000 hours of use, This long service life is an important advantage, because the changes or replacements of defective lamps or bulbs are not then more necessary.
- the object of the invention is to propose a lighting element, therefore a white light emitting element having this long duration of use, this lighting element can be advantageously used in a luminaire equipped with one or several pairs of power supply terminals regularly arranged inside, along the luminaire.
- These luminaires or lighting rails are generally used for surface lighting over long lengths and are composed of units up to 6 meters long, placed one after the other to to illuminate great lengths, eg ceilings, facades, etc.
- the lighting rails, particularly adapted to receive the lighting elements forming the subject of the present invention are described in the European Patent No 652,398 or in the patent application PCT / CH 97/00317 , both belonging to the group Agabekov also holder of this patent.
- the power supply of the rails mentioned above is made from feed ramps, also protected in the European patents No 375,623 and 516,578 , also on behalf of the Agabekov group.
- These power supply ramps are slid inside the light rails and have pairs of power terminals placed after and equidistant from each other along the ramp.
- the lighting elements forming the subject of the present invention are advantageously placed along the ramps between the pairs of supply terminals. It is immediately understood that, the rail being installed and provided with the lighting elements according to the invention, it will have a very long life and no maintenance will be necessary.
- LEDs are arranged in a covering element and protection of the bulb, comprising in particular a glass made integral with the base, or simply being connected to each other, or being arranged on a plate mounted in the casing of the bulb.
- the LED's are carried by a wafer, the latter comprises, at one of its ends, electrical contacts connected to the LEDs and electrical contacts of the lining element of the bulb. These are then intended to be connected to external power supply terminals to the bulb to allow operation.
- the lighting element is defined as described in claim 1.
- the LED's will be arranged above and below the insulating board.
- the electrical contacts can be made either in the form of shuttle lamp contacts or in the form of rigid loops.
- the board comprises 6 LEDs connected in series and powered by a current of 50 mA at a voltage of 24 volts.
- the lighting element will advantageously have 6 LEDs placed above the stage and 6 LED's placed below the stage, the rows of 6 LEDs being supplied with a voltage of 24 volts.
- All LEDs connected to the lighting element according to the invention will emit light with a strong white component.
- the lighting element according to the invention will advantageously be used in a luminaire or a lighting rail provided with pairs of electrical supply terminals placed one after the other and equidistant from each other. along the rail.
- the luminaire, object of the invention having a thin frame, elongated, a power supply ramp and a parabolic reflector, both placed at the bottom of the luminaire, is characterized in that it is provided with a d lighting comprising an insulating plate on which are attached LEDs connected in series and / or in parallel, the plate having on either side electrical contacts intended to be connected to the electrical supply terminals of the luminaire, the lighting element being placed at the focus of the surface of the parabolic reflector.
- the embodiment of the lighting element 1 shown in FIG. figure 1 has a printed circuit board 2, on which are placed 2 rows of 6 LED diodes 3, respectively 4, above and below the plate. These LEDs 3 and 4 are connected in series on conductive portions not shown of the plate connected at each of their ends to circular contacts 5,6 identical to the contacts normally used with shuttle lamps. Contacts 5 and 6 are (see also figure 2 and 3 ) introduced into bores 7, respectively 8, formed in supply terminals 9, 10, connected to insulated conductors 11, 12, forming a power supply ramp 13 of the same type as the power supply ramps described in the European Patents No 375,623 or no 516,578 .
- the lighting rail or luminaire represented in the Figures 2 and 3 is a rail-like rail described in European Patent No 652,398 or in the PCT / CH 97/00317 also on behalf of the licensee.
- the LEDs represented in the execution mode of the Figures 1 to 3 are LEDs NICHIA SMD 120 ° / 60 ° 066 cd and are made to be energized 4 volts per unit. Element 1 of Figures 1 to 3 will therefore be put under a voltage of 24 volts, which corresponds to a voltage normally used in lighting rails of the type shown in the Figures 2 and 3 . Given the diodes used, the current that will pass through the element will be about 50mA.
- the LEDs whose specification is given above, emit a white light and in the case where the lighting element has a top row of 6 LEDs, a lower row also of 6 LED's and a parabolic reflector has been placed in the lighting rail, the brightness per unit length provided by the rail is perfectly satisfactory.
- the lighting element 21 presents, as well as the element 1 of the figure 1 a printed circuit board 2, on which are mounted two rows of 6 LEDs 22, respectively 4, the LEDs 22 and 4 being placed above and below the plate 2.
- the LEDs 4 are of the same type as those described in FIG. look at the figure 1 and are LEDs NICHIA SMD 120 ° / 60 ° 0.66 cd connected in series on the conductive lines not shown of the plate 2 and LED's NICHIA of 5mm, diameter of 5.6 cd / 20 °. As in the execution mode of Figures 1 to 3 these LED's are connected to conductive parts of the plate each connected at their ends to contacts 23, 24 in the form of a loop.
- the contacts 23, 24 in the form of a loop are clipped on jumpers 25, 26, themselves frictionally placed on the supply terminals 9, 10 by means of the frames 27, 28.
- the jumpers 25, 26 with their gripper-shaped upper parts for receiving the loops and their frames 28 are described in detail in European Patent No 516,578 and the supply terminals 9, 10 are the same as in the embodiment of the Figures 1 to 3 connected to insulated conductors 11, 12 forming the power supply ramp.
- Feed ramp 13 is also described in European Patent No 516,578 and is intended to energize a succession of lighting elements placed along the ramp 13.
- the jumpers 26, as well as the power supply terminals 9, 10 which support them pass through a parabolic reflector 29 slid in the grooves 18 and 19 of the wings 16 and 17 of a lighting rail 15 similar to that of the embodiment of the Figures 1 to 3 .
- the insulating ramp 13 is introduced into a groove 14 of the lighting rail with the parabolic reflector 29 held laterally in the grooves 18 and 19 of the wings 16 and 17 of the lighting rail.
- the lighting rail 15 is like that of the embodiment of the Figures 1 to 3 very similar to the lighting rail described in European Patent No 652,398 or in the PCT / CH 97/00317 .
- jumpers 25 and 26 mounted on the supply terminals 9 and 10 are surrounded by insulating protective sleeves 30 and 31 also passing through the parabolic reflector 29.
- the lighting rail Figures 4 and 6 still has at the upper part of the wings 16 and 17 a groove 32, 33 for receiving a filter or a protective glass.
- the lighting elements 1 and 21 are positioned so that they are placed at the focus of the parabolic surface of the reflector. There is thus a maximum reflection rate and a sensitive reflected beam.
- the luminaire or lighting rail shown in section is made from an extruded profile 35 having two lateral wings 36 and 37. At the top of the lateral wings 36 and 37 is placed a transparent plastic cover 38 tight on the edges upper wings by positioning slides 39, 40. At the free ends of the profile are placed not shown covers for sealingly enclosing the luminaire which will not be described in detail. Indeed, this luminaire is the object of the request PCT / CH 97/00317 and has been used to date with traditional lighting elements, such as shuttle lamps or Xenon lamps. In the version represented in the figure 7 , the luminaire is equipped with lighting elements 21 identical to the element of the figure 4 .
- These elements 21 have on the top of the plate six LEDs 22 with direct light having a beam closed at 20 °. Under the plate element 21 has six LEDs 4 having a beam of light open at 60 °, respectively 120 °. According to orthogonal coordinates as shown in the drawing, the element is positioned in the luminaire 35, so that the LED's are placed at the focus 41 of the parabolic reflector 42. Thus, the broad beam of light emitted by the LED's is reflected. upwardly in a vertical component by the reflector 42 and all of the emitted and reflected light is added to the direct beam emitted by the LEDs 22.
- the result obtained with the elements 21 placed in the luminaire 35 is absolutely unexpected and the light provided by the luminaire is sufficient to illuminate surfaces, such as facades, ceilings, etc. This fact was not obvious because the LED's light intensity is relatively low compared to that of conventional bulbs.
- NEPTLTNE a "NEPTLTNE" luminaire such as that shown in section in the figure 7 .
- This luminaire has a length, width and height of 0.875 m, 0.070 and 0.040 respectively.
- the length, respectively width of the horizontal illuminating surface was 0.835, respectively 0.035 m.
- This luminaire contained 15 elements of twice 6 LEDs for a power of 18 Watts and a total lumen flux of about 1000.
- the 6 LEDs placed on the upper part of the element board are 5mm NICHIA LEDs, 5.6 cd / 20 ° diameter and the 6 LED's placed on the lower part of the element board. are LED's NICHIA SMD 120 ° / 60 ° 066 cd. Each element is powered with a current of 24 V DC.
- the figure 8 is a graphical representation showing the distribution of luminous intensities 1 in polar pattern for a direction along the axis of the luminaire C90 / C270 and a direction perpendicular to this axis CO / C180.
- the results obtained with the lighting element which has just been described are excellent and the luminaire offers the advantage of an extremely long service life. It can be advantageously used in a luminaire or lighting rail described in the PCT / CH 97/00317 in order to illuminate important surfaces (façade, ceiling, floor) with a narrow and concentrated light beam without loss of light.
- the embodiment and the variant of the lighting element are advantageously used in a lighting rail.
- the lighting element 1 or 21 will therefore be sized to have an elongated configuration and be relatively thin.
- the invention is not limited to the elements described in the drawing and the lighting element may have significant changes.
- the plate 2 will advantageously be provided with LEDs on 2 sides. It is obviously possible to provide a hollow plate or triangular section or square. In this case, we then obtain three or four rows of LED's. On the other hand, we can provide a much longer platinum having rows with a much larger number of LEDs, under a voltage of about 4 volts per unit or other voltage depending on the characteristics of LEDs used.
- the lighting element which has just been described offers the advantage of a very long life. Under these conditions, when used in rails or ramps of great length placed in places not very accessible, it offers a very important advantage due to its very long life. On the other hand, it uses less current than conventional bulbs.

Abstract
Description
White lights for lighting may have weak color components, most often red, yellow or blue. However, when it comes to lighting, an element of this type must necessarily provide a significant white light component.
For about twenty years, new light sources called LEDs have appeared on the market.

As shown in the figures of the drawing, the embodiment and the variant of the lighting element are advantageously used in a lighting rail.
