Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de régler l'angle de rotation relatif d'un arbre à cames d'un moteur à combustion interne par rapport à une roue motrice. Ce dispositif comprend une partie interne (4), qui est solidaire en rotation de l'arbre à cames (2) et qui présente des ailettes (6a à 6e) s'étendant au moins approximativement en direction radiale, ainsi qu'une roue à alvéoles (10) entraînée, qui présente plusieurs alvéoles réparties sur sa périphérie et délimitées par des ailettes (12a à 12e). Ces alvéoles sont chacune divisées en deux chambres de pression (22a à 22e ou 24a à 24e) par les ailettes (6a à 6e) de la partie interne (4) qui sont guidées dans ces alvéoles de façon à pouvoir exécuter un mouvement angulaire. Lorsque ces chambres de pression sont soumises à une pression hydraulique ou libérées de cette pression au moyen de lignes de commande, l'arbre à cames peut, par l'intermédiaire desdites ailettes, tourner par rapport à la roue à alvéoles (10), entre deux positions finales. La partie interne (4) est délimitée latéralement par deux éléments de protection (14, 16) qui sont connectés à la roue à alvéoles. L'objectif de la présente invention est de réduire le frottement entre les ailettes (6a à 6e) de la partie interne (4) et les éléments de protection (14, 16) dans les parois latérales (36, 38) des ailettes (6a à 6e) qui sont orientées vers les éléments de protection (14, 16). Cet objectif est atteint par des évidements (40, 42) formant des cavités, qui sont alimentés au moins partiellement en huile hydraulique lorsque le moteur à combustion interne est en service.
