Abstract

The system consists of an abdominal belt (1) with two straps (2, 3) and a support with two cords (7, 8) that can be attached at will to a lifting apparatus. The cords are fastened to the ends of the straps' side sections (2C, 3C), and each strap is able to slide relative to the abdominal belt and its support when a tension is applied to the cords. The dorsal sections (2B, 3B) are mounted on the back of the abdominal belt so they fasten automatically when the cords are tensioned as the person is lifted.

Description

L'invention concerne un harnais pour appareil de verticalisation et de transfert rapide de personnes à mobilité réduite, par exemple du lit à une chaise, à un fauteuil roulant ou aux toilettes, du genre comprenant ;

    • d'une partie abdominale passant devant la partie abdominale de ladite ceinture et adaptée pour être reliée à l'autre partie de sangle au moyen d'éléments de boucle de fermeture mâle et femelle ;
    • d'une partie dorsale passant derrière la partie dorsale de ladite ceinture et d'une partie latérale située dans le prolongement de ladite partie dorsale ;
The invention relates to a harness for verticalization apparatus and rapid transfer of persons with reduced mobility, for example from the bed to a chair, to a wheelchair or to the toilet, of the type comprising;
  • a) an abdominal belt, intended to surround the patient, consisting of a dorsal part and two abdominal parts associated with two straps constituted, each:
    • an abdominal portion passing in front of the abdominal portion of said belt and adapted to be connected to the other strap portion by means of male and female closure loop members;
    • a dorsal portion passing behind the dorsal portion of said belt and a lateral portion located in the extension of said dorsal portion;
  • b) a support element, intended to ensure the connection between said abdominal belt, therefore the patient, and the verticalization and transfer apparatus, consisting of a dorsal part on which the dorsal part of said belt is fixed and of two parts at the ends of which are fixed two cords intended to be secured to said apparatus which comprises quick fixing means.

Un tel arrangement présente les principaux inconvénients suivants ;

  • serrage insuffisant pouvant occasionner le glissement du patient (instabilité et manque de sécurité de la liaison) ;
In the known harnesses of the type in question, each element of the closure loop is secured to the end of each strap which is itself secured to the end of the portion of the corresponding support member.
Patent WO-0113857 discloses a harness for lifting a helpless person from a sitting position to a standing position, which comprises a lap belt, intended to surround the patient, associated with two tightening straps, and a back belt intended for support said lap belt and be connected to the verticalization apparatus by means of two cords. The ends of the clamping straps are also attached to said apparatus.
Such an arrangement has the following main disadvantages;
  • Insufficient tightening may cause the patient to slip (instability and lack of safety of the connection);
  • non uniformly distributed pressure clamping may cause discomfort or pain related to excessive localized pressure on the patient.

  • l'extrémité de chaque partie latérale de chaque sangle est fixée à chaque cordon ;
  • chaque sangle coulisse par rapport à la ceinture abdominale et à son support lors du soulèvement du patient sous l'effet de la tension exercée sur lesdits cordons ;
  • seule l'extrémité de chaque cordon est reliée à l'appareil ;
The invention therefore aims to provide a harness that eliminates the various disadvantages mentioned above by allowing a good grip of the patient and a good distribution of pressure through the implementation of a self-tightening means whose effect is proportional to the patient's weight.
It also has the advantage of having a first security limiting the clamping force and a second avoiding the risk of opening the harness in the event of inadvertent unlocking of the closure loop.
It therefore concerns for this purpose a strap which is essentially characterized in that:
  • the end of each side portion of each strap is attached to each bead;
  • each strap slides relative to the abdominal belt and its support during the lifting of the patient under the effect of the tension exerted on said cords;
  • the dorsal portions of said straps are mounted in opposition to the back of said lap belt so as to be self-tightening under the effect of the tension exerted on said cords during lifting of the patient.
In this realization:
  • only the end of each cord is connected to the apparatus;
  • each cord and each strap form a single sliding strap ensuring the functions of holding the harness on the device and patient holding, by self-tightening, on the harness.
The technical means used, particularly in terms of the design of the straps and the means for its movement and safety, are completely new and original.
