Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mold for the production of metallic Molded parts by casting, hot, hot or cold forming as well as a process to produce such a mold.
For the known casting and forming processes are known to be Steel molds used. When using steel molds it is disadvantageous that in casting, hot or hot forming, both the shape and that Work piece very corroded. Another disadvantage is that the Mold must be wetted with lubricant and release agent in order to flow To enable material during the forming process.
However, it is now also known to have such steel molds with ceramics in the Area of the cavity. Such ceramics have the one Advantage that the use of release agents and lubricants becomes superfluous, but what's even more essential is the fact that chemical Reactions between forming material and molding material when used are essentially prevented by ceramic inserts.
Such a form is described for example in DE 199 08 952 A1. A disadvantage of such a steel mold that has a ceramic mass is lined, however, is that especially in the warm and the Hot forming due to the heat of the shape itself under the Extends heat strongly. Even if you assume that such Thermal expansion to some extent in the manufacture of the mold can be taken into account, but this is not with absolute certainty possible because the temperature of the mold fluctuates during operation subject, so that in the mold by hot or Hot-formed workpiece after the actual one Forming process still needs to be reworked, which entails additional costs caused. In addition, the production of the steel molds is complex, is time-consuming and accordingly expensive. In operation they need Steel molds because of corrosion require intensive maintenance, which in turn costs caused.
From DE 41 20 105 A1 it is known that a casting mold consists of 99% To manufacture silicon dioxide. Such a form made of silicon dioxide but cannot be used for forming workpieces because a silicon oxide form cannot withstand such loads.
From DE 28 54 555 A1 it is also known to form a tungsten coat.
In the case of a mold according to EP 0 399 727, there is a multilayer Structure provided using alumina and zirconium silicate wanted differently porous layers. A shape with such a porous The outer skin would in turn not be able to withstand the required pulling and To achieve the compressive strength necessary to achieve such Use mold for cold, hot or hot forming.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a tool shape type mentioned for the production of metallic moldings by To provide casting, hot, hot or cold forming, even under high Temperatures is essentially dimensionally stable, d. H. themselves under extreme Does not significantly expand or contract heat.
- Silikoncarbid
- Silikonnitrid
- Magnesiumoxid
- Zirkonnitrid
- Titannitrid
- Zirkondiborid
- Titandiborid
- Graphit
- silicon carbide
- silicon nitride
- magnesia
- zirconium
- titanium nitride
- Zirconium
- titanium diboride
- graphite
Further advantageous features can be found in the subclaims.
A mold made entirely from a homogeneous ceramic mass with one or more of the ingredients listed above in particular the advantage that this even under extreme Heat exposure has only a low coefficient of thermal expansion. In this respect, a post-processing of one produced in such a form Workpiece not required. This also means that if necessary the thickness of the workpiece, which in such a form made of ceramic Material is made, may be less, as post-processing - like already described above - can be omitted. That means that this material can be saved on the workpiece. It is also essential that such a mold has a better thermal conductivity than for example a steel mold, which is essential for the control of the Temperature during the forming process. It is also essential that the Slidability of the ceramic material is significantly higher than that of Steel, so essentially on the use of lubricants can be dispensed with. It is also advantageous that the corrosion in the Use of such ceramic agents is essentially avoided. In addition, the thermal shock resistance and also the Wear resistance much higher than with steel molds. In the In addition, the composition of the ceramic mass must be ensured that the shape is resistant to temperature shock.
It is also essential that such a type of tool shape from a homogeneous ceramic mass, even with dimensions in size of larger than 30 x 30 x 30 mm, is able to withstand the occurring during the forming Forces permanently, d. H. to be included in series production. This in particular when the wall thickness of the mold is greater than 30 mm.
Specifically, it is provided that the tool shape in slip casting, Die casting, freezing or cement casting is made. More possible Manufacturing processes are vibratory presses, pressing and sintering. Advantageously shows the mold shape around the cavity openings, in particular Long openings, preferably in the form of conical round holes. This Long openings or holes around the cavity can be targeted Serve to heat the mold, for example by using hot gases or Liquids are sent through the holes, in particular the flow of material during hot forming (hydroforming) to be able to influence. However, it is also conceivable to include the holes To equip heating elements, which are preferably firmly embedded in the ceramic are. Coils for inductive can be used as heating elements Warming but also heating tapes, heating plates, heating wires, heating rods and Like. What is important when arranging the heating elements in the ceramic is that the heating elements are embedded in the ceramic in such a way that the different coefficients of expansion of the ceramic material on the one hand and the heating elements on the other are taken into account what can happen, for example, that the heating elements are elastic are resiliently embedded in the ceramic mold.
The holes are not only used for heating, but can also serve to cool the mold and in particular also to freeze the Form in its manufacture. The openings can advantageously through Inserting conical tubes into the molding compound are effected so that these are easy to demold.
According to a further feature of the invention it is provided that the Ceramic mold is formed from individual segments that work together are connectable. The formation of the ceramic form in the form of individual Segments has the advantage that it can also be complicated Molding tools can be made that are not in one piece or only difficult, such as B. a mirrored double shape, could be produced. At a Form with individual segments, the individual segments of the Tool after the shaping be separated. This separation is in usually done by sawing or laser cutting. To do that It is intended to maintain the mold nevertheless at the separation points to arrange so-called separating rings. These separating rings, in particular Sintered ceramics, separate part of the cross section of the workpiece on the intended location, e.g. B. in the middle of the mirrored double shape. This means that the separating ring protrudes to a substantial extent into the workpiece into it. However, the use of separating rings cannot only be used for multi-part systems Shapes take place, but also with one-piece molds, namely, if the workpiece is to be cut at these points.
The invention also relates to a method for producing a

The hardening process itself is advantageously carried out in an environment that is one Oxidation of non-oxidic components in the ceramic mass, e.g. the graphite or the titanium diboride prevented. This can be done by hardening in the environment of appropriate gases, e.g. B. argon. The hardening process can advantageously be carried out in a nitrogenous process Environment are carried out to the metallic components in nitrides convert, such as the conversion of metallic Silicon powder in silicon nitride.
When using the ceramic mold for hydroforming processes in warm or When the material is hot, the material guide openings should be large enough that there is no material jamming after the material is heated.
The tool shape is explained in more detail below with the aid of the drawings described.
So zeigt:

The double form of a tool consisting of several parts according to

The
