Claims (7)

  1. A tile cutter having a cutting tool (11) which is arranged on a pivot arm (6) which is pivotable by means of an actuating lever (8) and is pivotably mounted on a cutting slide (5) which is displaceable along a guide (4) and furthermore supports a breaker (12) for breaking a tile which has been cracked along its surface by means of the cutting tool (11), the breaker (12) having a mounting plate (16) which is mounted on the pivot arm (6) such that it is pivotable about a pivot axis (19) and which is adjustable between an upwardly pivoted passive position, in which it is held by a latching device, and a downwardly pivoted active position, characterised in that the latching device is formed by a lug (21) protruding beyond the lateral edge (20) of the mounting plate (16) and a latching part (22, 22') made from a resiliently deformable material, which cooperates with the lug (21) and is held on the pivot arm (6).
