- this system includes a first camera which generates video images of the front landing gear and an area around the latter, a second camera which generates video images main landing gear and areas around them, and display means which are mounted in the cockpit and which view the video images generated by said first and second cameras (which are attached to the fuselage).
- This known system therefore provides the pilot with information which allow maneuvers during taxiing on the ground with safety increased. In particular, by observing the landing gear and areas around these, it can prevent a train from hitting a obstacle on the ground or does not leave the runway or the taxiway, on which circulates the plane.

- this known system has several drawbacks. In particular, it is frozen and cannot be adapted to different airports. Of more, the presentation of information implemented by this system is not not very readable.
- the presentation of information is not very legible, in particular due to the high number of elements (runways, taxiways, buildings, traffic, ...) which are shown on the display screen, especially when the zoom level is low (full view of the airport by example). Readability is also reduced by the use of type views different: perspective views, plan view. So you always need a pilot to understand the new visualization during a change in type of view, this loss of time may well heard to be embarrassing in certain situations.
- the object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks. It relates to an airport display device allowing a very readable display that can be adapted to different characteristics (size, complexity, ...) of the airport.
- At least some of said values scale (relative to the different zoom levels) can be set, which allows in particular to adapt these scale values to the characteristics (size, complexity, ...) of the airport to be displayed.
- the return is done on the same part of the airport as the one that was presented before viewing the whole airport.
- said system actuator further comprises at least a sixth actuation means allowing (an operator) to select an airport point on which is then centered the part of the airport which is presented on the viewing screen.

- the level zoom increases, the level of detail also increases in accordance to the invention so that elements 21 and 22 which were not visible in the global view of figure 2B now appear in the figure 2A. These elements 21 and 22 (for example panels or cabinets electrical) are shown schematically in this Figure 2A.
- a level is chosen for each zoom level of details which, at the same time, allows a good reading of the information presented on screen 3 and ensures an appropriate density of this information.
- the scale values associated with these different zoom levels are configurable and can be adapted to the airport in particular.
- the actuation system 5 can also include an actuating means, such as the means 36 shown in FIG. 1, which allows from the global view of Figure 4B to select a part 32 of airport 12 so that an actuation of the actuation means 30 then causes the visualization of the partial view shown in Figure 4C.
- This partial view shows said first zoom level (relative to FIG. 4A) but shows the selected part 32, and not the part initially viewed in FIG. 4A. From this partial view in Figure 4C, we return to a global view ( Figure 4B) with a new actuation of said actuation means 30.
- This last feature can notably help the pilot, if he is lost, to be in the airport 12, to look for a precise point of graphically, and monitor surrounding traffic, if the zoom level only allows you to observe a small area of the airport (level high zoom).
