Einfache Waffenstationen sind dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie auf einem Flanschring
drehbar um eine Fahrzeugluke herum angebracht sind und daß sie in der Seitendrehung
und Feuerrichtung mit Körperkraft des Bedieners gerichtet werden. Insbesondere ist ein
hohes Drehmoment vom Bediener aufzubringen, wenn der Gesamtschwerpunkt der
Waffenstation einschließlich Seitendrehlager als Ring bei zunehmender Schrägstellung
des Fahrzeugs und damit der Waffenstation aus der Drehmitte auswandert. Dann muß
das höhere Moment fortwährend durch Körperkraft ausgeglichen werden, um die Waffe in
die gewünschte Richtung zu bringen und auch um sie dort zu halten. Eine Waffenstation
besteht als Freirichtlafette im wesentlichen aus einem Ring oder Plattform mit

Station in der gewünschten Lage zu halten.
Bei einem verrasteten Seitendrehlager kann der Bediener häufig nur einen eingeschränkten
Bereich mit der Waffe abdecken. Wenn sich das neue Ziel hinter ihm befindet,
muß zunächst die Arretierung der vorhergehenden Position gelöst werden und die
Waffenstation kann anschließend geschwenkt werden. Steht dabei das Fahrzeug nicht auf
ebenem Boden und ist verkantet oder bewegt sich das Fahrzeug durch Gelände, ist ein
Richten mit Körperkraft nur eingeschränkt oder gar nicht mehr möglich in Abhängigkeit

nennenswerte Körperkräfte auch in einer Kipp- und Verkantungslage des Trägerfahrzeugs.
Auch Kräfte, die durch den Schußvorgang an der Waffe auftreten, werden
vorteilhaft vom Seitenrichtantrieb gedämpft und aufgenommen. Weiterhin ist ein schneller
Wechsel der Bekämpfungsrichtung bei kurzzeitig folgender Bekämpfung von mehreren
Zielen einfach möglich mit der motorisch angetriebenen Seitenrichtung.
Ein Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung ist in der Zeichnung schematisch dargestellt und im
folgenden näher beschrieben. Es zeigen:
