  • the mechanism lies behind the cutting elements 7 of the hole punch, however, it is to be appreciated that the mechanism could be housed in any appropriate position in the casing of the hole punch.

  • the finger 70 lies to the side of the upstanding step 17, so as to project into the slot defined between the upper surface 15 and the plate 18 thereabove.

  • the visual indicator 77 In use, therefore, as paper is inserted into the hole punch, the visual indicator 77 will be moved due to the action of the pivoting mechanism, such that when paper (for example) is in the "fully home” position then the visual indicator 77 is presented through the aperture 34, to the user. This gives a visual indication of when paper is correctly inserted into the hole punch, and therefore when it is appropriate for the user to operate the cutting elements 7 of the hole punch 1 by depressing handle 6. It will therefore be appreciated that in this embodiment, the above-described mechanism serves as an indicator arranged to provide a visual indication, at a position remote (i.e. at the aperture 34) from the upstanding step 17, responsive to said edge of the each sheet article moving the moveable element (finger 70).
  • the aperture 34 formed in the operating handle 6, is provided with a lens 56 thereacross.
  • the lens 56 is preferably moulded from polycarbonate material or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).

Claims (15)

  1. Perforeuse (1) permettant de perforer des trous à travers une feuille ou une pile d'une pluralité de feuilles, la perforeuse comprenant :
    un socle (2) ayant une surface d'engagement (15) permettant d'engager une face d'une feuille qui doit être perforée ; caractérisée par
    un agencement d'emplacement (17, 53, 70) configuré pour engager un bord de la ou de chaque feuille, dans lequel l'agencement d'emplacement (17, 53, 70) comprend un élément mobile (55, 70) qui est mobile en réponse à l'engagement dudit bord de la ou de chaque feuille, dans au moins une partie de l'agencement d'emplacement (17, 53, 70) ; et
    un indicateur (50, 75, 77) agencé pour fournir une indication visuelle, en réponse au mouvement de l'élément mobile (55, 70) qui indique si ledit bord de la ou de chaque feuille s'engage dans l'agencement d'emplacement (17, 53, 70).
  2. Perforeuse selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle l'indicateur (50, 75, 77) comprend une source de lumière (50) configurée pour émettre une lumière en réponse au mouvement de l'élément mobile (53).
  3. Perforeuse selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle la source de lumière (50) est placée sensiblement en une position distante de l'agencement d'emplacement (17, 53, 70).
  4. Perforeuse selon la revendication 2 ou 3, dans laquelle la source de lumière (50) comprend une diode électroluminescente.
  5. Perforeuse selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 4, dans laquelle l'élément mobile (53) comprend un micro-interrupteur.
  6. Perforeuse selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 5, dans laquelle la source de lumière (50) est alimentée au moins en partie par une pile (52).
  7. Perforeuse selon l'une quelconque des revendications 2 à 6, dans laquelle la source de lumière (50) est alimentée au moins en partie par une cellule solaire (54).
  8. Perforeuse selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle l'indicateur (50, 75, 77) comprend un mécanisme (75) pouvant être actionné en réponse au mouvement de l'élément mobile (70).
  9. Perforeuse selon la revendication 8, dans laquelle le mécanisme (75) comprend un élément indicateur (72) agencé pour se déplacer par rapport au socle (2), d'une première position vers une seconde position, en réponse au mouvement de l'élément mobile (70).
  10. Perforeuse selon la revendication 9, dans laquelle l'élément indicateur (72) comprend un bras de levier (72) mobile, par pivotement, entre ladite première et ladite seconde position.
  11. Perforeuse l'une quelconque des revendications 9 ou 10, dans laquelle l'élément indicateur (72) est incliné vers ladite première position.
  12. Perforeuse selon la revendication 11, dans laquelle l'élément indicateur (72) est incliné vers ladite première position par un contrepoids.
  13. Perforeuse selon l'une quelconque des revendications 9 à 12, dans laquelle l'élément indicateur (72) comprend un indicateur visuel (77), une première portion de l'indicateur visuel étant visible à travers une ouverture (34) prévue dans une partie de la structure de la perforeuse, lorsque ledit élément indicateur (72) adopte au moins une dite position.
  14. Perforeuse selon la revendication 13, dans laquelle une seconde portion de l'indicateur visuel (77) est visible à travers une ouverture (34) prévue dans une partie de la structure de la perforeuse, lorsque ledit élément indicateur (72) adopte l'autre position.
  15. Perforeuse selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle une loupe (56) est fournie, l'indicateur (50, 75, 77) étant visible à travers la loupe.
