Abstract
Verbrennungsmotor mit mindestens einem Zylinder, bei dem die Verbrennung eines im Zylinder durch einen Kolben komprimierten homogenen Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisches durch eine zeitlich gesteuerte Fremdzündung eingeleitet wird, wobei das Kraftstoff-Luft-Verhältnis des Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisches im Brennraum (25) größer als 1,9 ist und zur zeitlich gesteuerten Fremdzündung mindestens eine Laserlichtquelle (10), mindestens eine optische Übertragungseinrichtung (11) und mindestens eine Einkopplungsoptik (12) zum Fokussieren von Laserlicht in einen Brennraum (25) vorgesehen sind.
