Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung von Stickstoff aus Luft, bei dem die zu rektifizierende Luft (1) verdichtet (2b,2c), gereinigt (3) und abgekühlt (5) in einer mit herkömmlichen Rektifiziereinrichtungen (6a,b) und einem Sumpfverdampfer (7) ausgerüsteten Rektifiziersäule (6) in eine sauerstoffangereicherte Sumpfflüssigkeit (17) und in dampfförmiges sauerstoffarmes Stickstoffprodukt (9) zerlegt wird. Durch die erfindungsgemäße Kopplung von Nachverdichtung (2) - zumindest einer Teilmenge - der aus der Rektifiziersäule (6) abgezogenen Produktströme (9,12) und Erzeugung von Rücklauf (11a) durch den Sumpfverdampfung (7) wird eine höhere Stickstoffausbeute um bis zu 50 Prozent und eine Energieeinsparung von mehr als 20 Prozent möglich.
