Die mit der Erfindung hauptsächlich erzielten Vorteile sind darin zu sehen, dass die Pumpeinrichtung hochwirksame als Zahnradpumpen ausgebildete Saugpumpen umfasst, die, weil baugleiche Bauteile aufweisend, zu einer kostengünstigen Konstruktion beitragen. Dabei ist jede Zahnradpumpe mit voneinander getrennten Absaugstellen der Brennkraftmaschine verbunden. Außerdem weist die mit zwei miteinander kämmenden Zahnräder versehene Zahnradpumpe zwei voneinander getrennte in einem Gehäuse der Zahnradpumpe untergebrachte Kammern auf, die an besagte Absaugstellen angeschlossen sind. Diese Kammern sind durch eine Zwischenwand getrennt, die im rechten Winkel zu Mittelachsen der Zahnräder verläuft. Die Zwischenwand ist als ebene Scheibe in axiale Nute der Zahnräder eingesetzt und arbeitet mit einer Innenwand des Gehäuses dichtend zusammen. Von einer nicht näher dargestellten Brennkraftmaschine 1 der Hubkolbenbauart ist lediglich ein Teil eines Kurbelgehäuses 2 angedeutet, an dem eine Pumpeinrichtung vorgesehen ist. Die Pumpeinrichtung umfasst eine nicht gezeigte Druckpumpeneinrichtung und eine Saugpumpeneinrichtung 3, mit denen der Umlauf des Schmiermittels in der Brennkraftmaschine sichergestellt wird. Die Druckpumpeneinrichtung ist an einer ersten Längsseite und die Saugpumpeneinrichtung 3 an einer zweiten Längsseite 4 des Kurbelgehäuses 2 angeordnet. Das Antriebsmittel 15 ist eine Welle 21, die mit den Zahnrädern 11 und 13 der benachbarten Zahnradpumpen 9,10 in Wirkverbindung steht. Die Kammern 30 und 31 in dem Gehäuse 16 sind durch eine Zwischenwand 32 getrennt, die im rechten Winkel zu Mittelachsen 33 und 34 der Zahnräder 13,14 verläuft. Die Zwischenwand 32 ist als eine ebene Scheibe ausgebildet und in Nute 35 und 36 der Zahnräder 13,14 eingesetzt, wobei freie Enden 37 und 38 der Zwischenwand 32 mit Innenwandabschnitten 39 und 40 des Gehäuses 16 dichtend zusammenarbeite. Claims (8)

  1. A lubricant pump arrangement for an internal-combustion engine, e.g. of the reciprocating piston type, comprising a pressure pump arrangement and a suction pump arrangement, which suction pump arrangement has a plurality of suction pumps which are connected to scavenging arrangements of the internal-combustion engine, wherein adjacent suction pumps (5, 6) are formed as gear pumps (9, 10) which are connected to the scavenging arrangements (7, 8) and of which gearwheels (11, 13) of the gear pumps (9, 10) are co-axially arranged in relation to the another and are connected to one another with the interposition of a drive means (15), characterised in that the drive means (15) is a shaft (21) which is operatively connected to the gearwheels (11, 13) of the gear pumps (9, 10), wherein the ends (21, 22) of the shaft (21) are provided with external teeth (24, 25) which co-operate with internal teeth (26, 27) of the gearwheels (11, 13) of the gear pumps (9, 10).
  2. A pump arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that the gear pumps (9, 10) substantially comprise structurally like components.
  3. A pump arrangement according to claim 2, characterised in that the structurally like components of the gear pumps (9, 10) are formed e.g. by the gearwheels (11, 12 and 13, 14), a casing (16) and a casing cover (19).
  4. A pump arrangement according to claim 1, characterised in that each gear pump (e.g. 9) is connected to separate scavenging points (28, 29) of the scavenging arrangement (8) of the internal-combustion engine (1).
  5. A pump arrangement, the gear pump of which preferably has two gearwheels arranged parallel to one another and operating in a casing, according to claim 4, characterised in that the two gearwheels (11, 12) are operative in the casing (16) in chambers (30, 31) which are separated from one another and which are connected to the scavenging points (28, 29) of the internal-combustion engine (1).
  6. A pump arrangement according to claim 5, characterised in that the chambers (30, 31) are separated by a partition wall (32) extending at right angles to centre axes (33, 34) of the gearwheels (e.g. 13, 14).
  7. A pump arrangement according to claim 6, characterised in that the partition wall (32), which is formed as a flat plate, is inserted into grooves (35, 36) in the gearwheels (13, 14) and co-operates in a sealed manner via free ends (37, 38) with inner wall portions (39, 40) of the casing (16).
  8. A pump arrangement according to claim 7, characterised in that the partition wall (32) is constructed in the manner of spectacles and consists of two parts (41, 42) which are assembled in a central longitudinal plane (A-A) incorporating the two centre axes (33, 34) of the gearwheels (13, 14).
