Abstract

Die Anordnung (1) zum Abdichten eines Endabschnitts (2) eines rohrförmigen Werkstücks (3) in einem Werkzeug (4) zum Innenhochdruckumformen umfasst einen mit dem Endabschnitt (2) zusammenwirkenden Abdichtdorn (20) als zumindest mittelbaren Bestandteil eines Druckkolbens (11). Dieser ist in einer an eine Druckquelle (10) für ein hydraulisches Hochdruckmedium anschließbaren Druckkammer (8) zwangsgeführt. Ferner weist der Druckkolben (11) in einem die Druckkammer (8) mit dem Innenraum (13) des Werkstücks (3) verbindenden axialen Druckkanal (12) ein in Richtung zur Druckkammer (8) sperrendes Rückschlagventil (14) auf. Die wirksame Kolbenfläche (KF) des Druckkolbens (11) in der Druckkammer (8) ist größer als die Querschnittsfläche (QF) im Innenraum (13) des Werkstücks (3) bemessen. Der Druckkolben (11) ist bei von der Druckquelle (10) getrennter Druckkammer (8) durch eine mechanische, elektrische, pneumatische oder hydraulische Rückstellkraft (23) in die Ausgangsposition zurückstellbar.

The arrangement (1) for sealing an end section (2) of a tubular workpiece (3) in a tool (4) for hydroforming comprises a sealing mandrel (20) which interacts with the end section (2) as an at least indirect component of a pressure piston (11). This is positively guided in a pressure chamber (8) which can be connected to a pressure source (10) for a hydraulic high-pressure medium. In an axial pressure channel (12) connecting the pressure chamber (8) to the interior (13) of the workpiece (3), the pressure piston (11) has a nonreturn valve (14) blocking the pressure chamber (8). The effective piston area (KF) of the pressure piston (11) in the pressure chamber (8) is larger than the cross-sectional area (QF) in the interior (13) of the workpiece (3). When the pressure chamber (8) is separated from the pressure source (10), the pressure piston (11) can be returned to the starting position by a mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic restoring force (23).
