Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hearing aid worn behind the ear with a hearing aid housing and a microphone arranged in the hearing aid housing with a microphone housing.
In the development of hearing aids special attention is paid to miniaturization. In particular, microphones play a decisive role in modern hearing aids, since with directional microphone arrays often several individual microphones have to be integrated into the hearing aids. In addition, the position of the microphones is often predetermined for acoustic reasons, so that the limits of miniaturization are quickly reached by the arrangement of the microphones and the design of the hearing aids is given.
Known microphones provide a microphone body, which is connected to a nozzle-shaped microphone inlet. This sound inlet nozzle is inserted into a corresponding receptacle in the hearing aid housing, wherein the sound inlet nozzle for acoustic and mechanical reasons usually leads directly through the housing surface to the sound inlet opening in the hearing aid housing.

The object of the present invention is to improve the arrangement of a microphone with a microphone housing in a hearing aid worn behind the ear.
This object is achieved in a hearing aid worn behind the ear with a hearing aid housing and disposed in the hearing aid housing microphone with a microphone housing in that the hearing aid housing each has a sound inlet opening in opposite sides and arranged on two opposite sides of the microphone housing each a sound inlet nozzle with a sound inlet opening is, wherein the sound inlet nozzle protrude into the sound inlet openings of the hearing aid housing and wherein at least approximately the sound inlet opening of a sound inlet nozzle distal and the sound inlet opening of the other sound inlet nozzle is disposed proximal to the head of a hearing aid wearer with worn hearing aid.
The hearing aid designed in accordance with the invention enables in a simple manner the arrangement of lateral sound entry openings in the hearing device housing. Due to the small design of the microphone and the elimination of additional sound channels between the microphone and the sound inlet opening in the hearing device housing the microphone is possible both in the middle and at one end within the hearing aid housing. In contrast to the previously used microphones, which have a one-sided inlet of the acoustic signals in the directly on the microphone diaphragm lying front microphone volume, the proposed arrangement has a microphone with two sound inlet nozzle. These are arranged on two opposite sides of the microphone and also give the incident sound signals access to the front microphone volume.
Microphones with opposite sound inlet nozzles can be integrated in a simple manner in hearing aid housing and allow with minimal space requirements a bilateral sound entry. The required for physical reasons cross-section of the sound inlet surface is thus distributed to the two sound inlet nozzle, whereby they can be made relatively small. The sound channels between the lateral sound entry openings in the hearing aid housing and the microphone diaphragm are made very short and simple by the microphone according to the invention, which has an advantageous effect on the acoustic properties. Furthermore, in the case of a microphone according to the invention, the sound inlet nozzles can advantageously simultaneously serve as means for fastening the microphone in the hearing device. Other fasteners can be omitted. Thus, the microphone according to the invention accommodates both acoustic and design specifications.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the sound sockets of the microphone and the sound inlet openings in opposite sides of the hearing aid housing arranged on a common axis of symmetry. The thus achieved symmetrical design of the microphone housing simplifies installation and alignment in the hearing aid housing. Furthermore, the moisture or contamination entering through a sound inlet opening can escape again through the opposite sound inlet opening or be blown out if necessary.
The arrangement of several microphones in the hearing aid and a suitable electrical interconnection, a directional microphone system can be realized. In this case, all microphones are preferably designed according to the invention. The simple space-saving placement of a microphone according to the invention in the housing of the hearing aid facilitates the placement of several such microphones within a hearing aid housing.
Another possibility for the realization of a directional microphone is to develop a single microphone according to the invention so that it has a directivity. For this purpose, the microphone comprises a plurality of pairs of sound inlet nozzles, wherein each of the sound inlet nozzles of a pair are arranged on two opposite sides of the microphone housing and open into a chamber on one side of a microphone diaphragm. In this case, the sound inlet nozzle of a pair are each introduced into a sound inlet opening in opposite sides of the hearing aid housing, wherein at least approximately the sound inlet opening of a sound inlet nozzle distal and the sound inlet opening of the other sound inlet nozzle of a pair is arranged proximal to the head with worn hearing aid. In this way, with a microphone according to the invention with at least two pairs of sound inlet nozzle a differential microphone form, which has a directional characteristic.
