Abstract

In order to effect an interconnection of two wood beams (1, 2) that are joined together while forming an at least approximately right angle, screws (3) are provided which engage inside both wood beams (1, 2). To this end, at least two screws (3) are inserted which are arranged in two planes running parallel to one another and which are screwed in such that they cross. In one of the beams (2), screws (3) are inserted in planes that are parallel to the grain and thus engage in the other beam (1) at a right angle or acute angle to the grain.

Description

The invention relates to a method for connecting two at least approximately perpendicularly adjoining wooden beams, which are provided in both wooden beams engaging screws.

Many variants of wood connections by screws have already become known (DE 708 759 C and FR 865 513). In these known wood joints screws are screwed at an acute angle to the surface of wooden beams in many ways, with little attention is usually paid to actual stress problems in wood joints, so that obviously such wood joints have not prevailed. Problems arise just at right angles to each other amchließenden wooden beams that could be connected so far practically only by a sufficient journal and groove connection, possibly by additional glue or with the help of metallic profile parts.

In a coupling purlin according to DE-A-187 24 284 two longitudinally overlapping adjoining wooden beams are mutually connected by fasteners. The overlapping end portions of the wooden beams are connected by screws, which are aligned at an acute angle to the abutting surfaces of the wooden beams. The screws are screwed lying in a transverse plane to the surfaces. There is also a possibility provided here, as this Koppelpfette can be mounted on an underlying, the Koppelpfette crossing wooden beams. There are also provided at an acute angle screwed in, which should connect the Koppelpfette with the underlying wooden beams. In such a connection, of course, a very acute angle for screwing the screws is required to connect both intersecting beams in a corresponding degree with each other. Since these screws must be screwed in each case from the opposite surfaces of the two forming the Koppelpfette wooden beams, in addition, the Eindrehwinkel must be very sharp, this type of connection of the Koppelpfette with the underlying timber support not with the special connection between the overlapping Ends of the wooden beams of a Koppelpfette be assimilated.

Bel another known embodiment (DE-U-298 05 784) is concerned with a screw for fixing slats of wood on an existing, inter alia, wooden roof or wall substructure, here also perpendicular to each other crossing wooden beams or parallel aligned and superimposed wooden beams are to be connected to each other. An oblique screwing the screws in the attachment of roof battens on an underlying beam is because the screws should not be used directly at the end of the roof battens and also need to penetrate a corresponding amount of length of the screws in the underlying wooden beams.

The present invention has set itself the task of providing a method with which a connection can be achieved, which allows optimum power transmission at least approximately perpendicular to each other wooden beams using screws.

According to the invention, a method is proposed for joining two wooden beams at least approximately at right angles to one another by means of screws inserted in both wooden beams, wherein a wooden beam formed as a secondary beam butt against the wooden beam formed as a main support, wherein at least two screws lying in two mutually parallel planes are used , which are screwed in crossing, the screws are used in the one wooden beam in parallel to the grain direction planes and thus in the other wooden beam right or acute angle to the fiber direction, and wherein the screws in each case in parallel aligned planes and in a are screwed lying horizontally from two perpendicular to these planes, wherein the two perpendicular to the other planes extending two planes to each other a right or slightly deviating from a right angle m they each include and wherein the screws lying in the successive planes are each screwed in from opposite directions and thus intersect each other.

Such produced compounds can be used in vortex manner at Maupt- / Zebentrageranschlüssen. Of the two pearweise used screws can take over the Zugbeiastung and the other the pressure load, which can be found in appropriate experiments that even if only screws are used, so no additional interlocking pins and grooves are present, much better results achieve.

In the region of a secondary carrier, adequate anchoring of the screws in planes running parallel to the fiber direction is possible, and in the region of the main carrier there is likewise sufficient anchoring since the screws there run transversely to the fiber direction.

It is thus an essential feature of the present invention that the screws are used in planes lying parallel to one another, these planes running in one heatable parallel to the fiber direction and in the other wooden beam transversely to the fiber direction.

It is not only a sufficient mutual attachment possible, but this also affects an optimal power transmission between the two wooden beams to be joined together.

The arranged in successive planes screws are therefore aligned with respect to a plane parallel to each other and with respect to the other levels each intersecting present. This results in an optimal power transmission, whereby even with relatively narrow wooden beams either only two or a plurality of screws can be used, which are present in the same orientation in the successive levels.

It is further proposed that more than two screws are each screwed lying in parallel aligned planes. So that means that once the head of the screw facing the one wooden beam and once the head of the screw to the other wooden beam. It is thus much better the respective acting compressive and tensile forces controllable.

Particularly advantageous is when the two aligned at least approximately at right angles to each other aligned planes and thus aligned in accordance with these levels screws cross each other in the region of the joint of the buttocks adjoining wooden beams. It is thus the main transfer of forces concentrated on the mutually facing surfaces of the wooden beams to be joined together, so that here the forces essentially in the middle part based on the height of at least the cross-sectional smaller wooden bale affect. It is just by an optimal power transmission possible. It is therefore almost impossible to destroy the wooden beams in the event of stress in a special way. The compound produced by the method according to the invention thus relies on the possibility of the assumption of tensile and compressive forces by the screws, so that substantially higher values can be achieved here than can be achieved with an exclusive pin-groove connection or by nail connections , It is therefore to be regarded as particularly advantageous that the two aligned at least approximately at right angles to each other planes and thus aligned in accordance with these levels screws annahemd on half the height of the beam or the smaller in height beam. So that is an optimal connection of two at least approximately at right angles adjoining wooden beams possible.

The present invention relates to a method for joining two wooden beams 1 and 2 adjoining each other at least approximately at right angles, using wood screws 3 which engage threaded sections in both wooden beams 1 and 2.

Such compounds are usually there, where referred to as the main carrier, in cross-section larger wooden beams 1 are present, are connected to soft in cross-section kleinare, designated as a hub carrier wooden beam 2. In the context of the invention, it is of course possible in principle to use such a connection wherever at least approximately perpendicular adjoining wooden beams 1 and 2 are present, it is indifferent to whether both wooden beams 1 and 2 the same height or even the same Have cross section or if necessary, the cross section of the wooden beam 2 is greater than the cross section of the wooden beam first

In the embodiment of FIGS. 2 and 3, two screws 3 are used. These two screws 3 are in mutually parallel planes 4 and 5, so that the screws 3 in the one wooden beam 1 right or acute angle to the bevel direction and engage in the other wooden beams 2, this level 4 and 5 parallel to the grain direction. The screws 3 are also in perpendicular to the planes 4 and 5 extending planes 6 and 7, so that the screws 3 are screwed to each other crossing, but extend in the spaced-apart planes 4 and 5.

The two levels 8 and 7 are approximately at right angles to each other, so that the screws 3 are screwed approximately crossing at right angles. It is also contemplated that the lying in the successive levels 4 and 5 screws 3 are screwed in from opposite directions, so that once the head 8 of a screw 3 is assigned to the wooden beams 2 and once the wooden beams 1.

Bei dieser Anordnung der Schrauben 3 wird auch erreicht, dass sich die beiden annahemd rechtwinklig zueinander ausgerichteten Ebenen 6 und 7 und somit natürlich auch die gemäß diesen Ebenen 6 und 7 ausgerichteten Schrauben 3 einander im Bereich der Stoßstelle 9 der aneinander anschließendenWith this arrangement of the screws 3, it is also achieved that the two planes 6 and 7 which are oriented approximately at right angles to one another and thus, of course, the screws 3 aligned in accordance with these planes 6 and 7, adjoin one another in the region of the joint 9 of the adjoining one another

Holzbalken 1.2 kreuzen. Cross wooden beam 1.2. It is advantageous if these two levels 6 and 7 and thus also the screws 3 here annahemd cross at half the height of the beams 1 and 2 or in the present case at half the height of the smaller in height beam 2. It is thus concentrated at a corresponding load of the wooden beams 1 and 2, the area of the largest power transmission between the two beams on the central region of the height of the beam 2, so that just from an optimal power transmission is possible.

In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, the same measures are taken as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, wherein on the one hand several pairs of screws 3 are used as a connection between the wooden beams 1 and 2 and on the other hand here a possibility is shown, in which opposite each other approximately at right angles adjoining wooden beams 2 can be connected to a carved as a main beam wooden beams 1. It only requires a correspondingly staggered arranging the levels 4 and 5, wherein it is additionally conceivable that the opposite wooden beams 2 associated pairs of screws 3 slightly offset from each other to order.

In the above description, it has always been assumed that the wooden beams 2 butt against the wooden beams 1.

It can be used screws, which have two threaded sections as in the illustrated embodiment, on the one hand facing the screw tip and on the other hand, the screw head. But it would also be possible to provide a continuous thread. Further, screws can be used in which two threaded portions are provided with different threaded engagement, thereby still achieve a mutual contact force between the wooden beams 1 and 2. The screws shown in the drawings have a kind of drilling part to reduce the risk of splitting the wooden beams when screwing in the screws. In the context of the invention, it would also be conceivable to use screws 3, in which the threaded portions have different diameters, that is, the threaded portion, which faces the head of the screw, would have a slightly larger diameter.

A method of connecting two timber beams adjoining one another at least approximately at right angles by means of screws engaging in both timber beams, wherein one timber beam (2) in the form of a secondary joist is butt-jointed against the other timber beam (1) in the form of a main joist, characterised in that at least two screws (3) are used which lie in two planes (4,5) extending parallel to one another and which are screwed in intersecting one another, wherein the screws (3) are inserted in one timber beam (2) in planes (4,5) extending parallel to the grain direction and thus engage in the other timber beam (1) at a right angle or at an acute angle to the grain direction, and wherein the screws are each screwed in in planes (4,5) aligned parallel to one another and respectively in one of two planes (6,7) extending at right angles thereto, wherein the two planes (6,7) extending at right angles to the other planes (4,5) form with one another a right angle or an angle varying slightly from a right angle and wherein the screws (3) lying in the consecutive planes (4,5) are each screwed in from opposite directions and thus each intersect one another.
  2. A method according to Claim 1, characterised in that more than two screws (3) are screwed in each lying in planes aligned parallel to one another.
  3. A method according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the two planes (6,7) aligned at least approximately at right angles to one another and thus the screws (3) aligned in accordance with these planes (6,7) intersect one another in the vicinity of the butt joint (9) of the mutually abutting timber beams (1,2).
  4. A method according to any one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the two planes (6,7) aligned at least approximately at right angles to one another and thus the screws (3) aligned in accordance with these planes (6,7) intersect one another approximately at half the height (H) of the timber beams (1,2) or of the beam (2) of lower height.
