A friction wheel drive according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that supported on the supports (13) is an adjusting means (14) which is variable in the rail direction and which on the other hand engages the mounting plate (8, 9) in displaced relationship with the circulating drive means (11) in such a way that the adjusting means (14) causes tensioning of the circulating drive means (11) and causes contact pressure adjustment of the friction and support wheels (2, 2A; 3, 3A).
  9. A friction wheel drive according to claim 8 characterised in that the adjusting means (14) engages the mounting plate (8, 9) by way of a spring (20).
  10. A friction wheel drive according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that mounted pivotably on the support (13) is a self-locking eccentric (24) which so contacts the mounting plate (8, 9) and is so arranged in relation thereto that in one pivotal position it lifts the friction and support rollers (2, 2A; 3, 3A) off the support and friction surfaces (30, 30A; 31, 31A) and in a second pivotal position it releases same for pressing against each other.
  11. A friction wheel drive according to claim 10 characterised in that the eccentric (23) is connected to an operating lever (25).
  12. A friction wheel drive according to claim 11 characterised in that the operating lever (25) is to be actuated by hand and by rail-side abutments.
