Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von nahtlosen NE-Rohren, insbesondere von nahtlosem Kupferrohr aus einer stranggegossenen oder stranggepreßten Rohrluppe und dem anschließenden Walzen der Rohrluppe, insbesondere auf einem Planetenschrägwalzwerk, zu einem Rohr. Erfindungsgemäß wird die Rohrluppe (3) zur Ausbildung einer Kühlzone (K) in der einlaufenden Umformzone (U) des Walzwerks durch allseitig konzentrisch gerichtetes, intensives Besprühen mit Kühlmedien (15), vorzugsweise unter hohem Druck beaufschlagt und dabei eine solche Wärmemenge abgeführt, daß ein Temperaturanstieg des gewalzten Kupferrohres (4), insbesondere auf Rekristallisationstemperatur, zumindest teilweise unterdrückt wird.
