Abstract

The method is for operating a pull-out drum dish washer (1) with a flushing chamber fed with fluid from a pump (8). When the drum (2) is extracted, the seatings allow the pump to be disconnected and fluid fed. Simultaneously, the through flow fluid mixture flow through the spray openings is reduced to prevent release of spray into the surroundings.

Description

The invention relates to a method for operating a dishwasher according to the preamble of claim 1 and a dishwasher according to the preamble of claim 8.

By the WO 93/12706 A1 a dishwashing machine is known in which in the housing of the dishwasher two superimposed and pulled out of the housing, the same size receptacle are provided with trough-like washrooms.

In dishwashers it happens again and again that the spray openings of the spraying over time by deposits, especially limescale, partially or completely enforce, so that no longer sufficient or no rinsing liquid can pass through the spray holes. This leads to poor cleaning results. Such blockages of the spray openings are hardly or not recognizable to the user of the dishwasher, so that no remedy can be made.

The invention has for its object to make the user of a dishwasher clogging of the spray openings easily recognizable.

The solution of the problem is achieved in a method for operating a dishwasher according to the invention in that even with the receptacle pulled out the pump can be turned on and flushing liquid can be supplied, but at the same time the flow rate of the washing liquid through the spray holes is reduced so far that no cumshot Rinsing fluid from the open washroom outwards into the free environment. The user of a dishwashing machine can thus observe the spraying device when the receptacle is pulled out and can detect whether flushing liquid emerges from all the spraying openings or determine whether a different amount of flushing liquid emerges at different spraying openings. This is a sign that at least a partial obstruction of the respective There is spray openings. The user can then specifically purify the respective spray openings, so that again a perfect flow of the rinsing liquid is ensured by the spray openings. With the invention, it has been possible to make the user of a dishwasher clogging of the spray openings easily recognizable.

A simple way to reduce the flow rate is that, depending on the open position of the receptacle, a reduction in the pump speed, so that their capacity is reduced so much that no clogging of flushing liquid enters the free environment. Depending on the open position of the receptacle can be acted upon the electrical control circuit of the pump so as to reduce their flow rate. It can be switched back first to a certain minimum capacity. There is then the possibility by means of a control circuit arranged in the pump, manually adjustable control member, for example a potentiometer, to regulate a suitable for the review of the pump output.

A reduction in the flow rate can also be achieved by activating at least one throttle element which reduces the flow rate and is arranged in the supply line from the pump to the spray unit, depending on the open position of the receiving container. In this case, the pump can be operated at normal power and the throttle body provides for the reduction of the flow rate. It may again be advantageous that the flow rate of the throttle body is adjustable.

As a throttle body, a pressure reducing valve can be used. It is also possible to provide a throttle element as an orifice element whose aperture is adjusted by means of a driven depending on the open position of the receptacle drive member in the direction of reduced transmissibility or to use a controlled in two-stroke valve, the two-stroke control function of the open position of the receptacle in Gear is set.

The object mentioned in the introduction is achieved in a dishwashing machine which can be operated according to the above-described method in that a control element is provided is, by the withdrawn receptacle directly or indirectly both the pump is switched on and the supply of rinsing liquid is releasable, further comprising a the open position of the receptacle detecting sensor is provided, triggered by the throttling of the flow rate of rinsing liquid through the spray openings with the receptacle pulled out is. By means of the control, a test program can be activated by the pump turned on and the supply of rinsing liquid is released even when pulled out the receptacle. At the same time, the flow rate at the spray openings is reduced by the sensor detecting the open position of the receptacle. This is a check of the permeability of the spray holes possible without the risk of leakage of rinsing fluid from the washing.

The sensor can be turned on in response to the actuation of the control program activating the test program.

It is expedient if the electrical control circuit of the pump is influenced by a control signal of the sensor in the sense of a reduction in the delivery rate of the pump. About their electrical control circuit, the pump can be shut down so far in their speed and thus in their capacity that no clogging of rinsing liquid from the washing out to the outside.

Another possibility for reducing the flow rate is that in the supply line from the pump to the spray device in its flow rate is regulated by a control signal of the sensor adjustable throttle body.

As a throttling device can advantageously be provided a pressure reducing valve or an orifice element whose aperture is adjustable by a control signal of the sensor in the sense of reducing the flow rate. If such throttling devices are used, then the pump can also be operated at its normal capacity while carrying out a check on the permeability of the spray orifices.

Reference to an embodiment shown in schematic form in the drawing, the invention will be explained in more detail below.

Die Zufuhr der Spülflüssigkeit zur Pumpe 8 erfolgt über eine Zuflussleitung 11.1 denotes a dishwasher which, in the exemplary embodiment shown, has a pull-out receptacle 2 with a trough-shaped flushing space 3. In the washing compartment 3, a spraying device 4 is mounted, which has spray arms 6 provided with spray openings 5. The spray arms 6 are rotatably arranged in the embodiment shown. By means of a built-in under the receptacle 2, driven by an electric motor 7 pump 8 the spray arms 6 is supplied via a connected to the pump outlet 9 supply pipe 10 rinsing liquid. The rinsing liquid then exits via the spray openings 5 and is sprayed onto the dishes to be cleaned placed in the rinsing chamber 3. The supply of the rinsing liquid to the pump 8 via an inflow line 11th

In the course of the supply pipe 10, an adjustable throttle body 12 is arranged in the illustrated embodiment. The throttle member 12 is controlled by one of the open position of the receptacle 2 detecting sensor 13 outgoing control signal in such a way that is supplied by this only in the open position of the receptacle 2 from the sensor 13 control signal, the throttle body 12 to minimum flow.

In order to be able to carry out the checking of the permeability of the spray openings 5 when the receiving container 2 is pulled out, a control element 14, e.g. a button, provided by the actuation of both the electric motor 7 is turned on and a arranged in the course of the inflow line 11 valve 15 can be unlocked. Thus, even with pulled out receptacle 2, a promotion of rinsing liquid is possible.

By pressing the control element 14, the promotion of rinsing liquid can be initiated. If the receptacle 2 is then withdrawn at the same time, the flow rate of flushing liquid through the spray openings 5 is reduced by the sensor 13 to such an extent that no strong jet occurs at the spray openings 5 and could escape from the flushing space 3. The user of the dishwasher can therefore, with the receptacle 2 pulled out, without the risk of being wet-sprayed, the observe individual spray openings 5 and check their perfect permeability. If a lack of permeability is detected then the respective spray openings 5 can be cleaned in a targeted manner.

With the invention, it has been possible for the user of a dishwasher 1 to make blockages of the spray openings 5 easily recognizable.
