Description

The invention relates to means for applying paint by example brushes, rollers or pads.

We know the difficulties encountered during an application of painting in inaccessible places. In particular, we know how much it is tedious to paint certain indoor radiators.

To facilitate the application of paint in such places, offered several tools.

Radiator brushes having a handle have also been proposed elongated and a brush head mounted at an angle on the handle.

However, painting of inaccessible surfaces remains tedious, even with these tools.

Indeed, the “hare's foot” type roller does not allow to access the narrowest places and the radiator brush remains little handy.

The present invention proposes to resolve these drawbacks by proposing means of applying paint that are both strong handy and which allow access to the narrowest places.

This object is achieved according to the invention thanks to a device according to claim 1.

The device of Figure 1 consists of three sets key.

These three sets are respectively a support 100, an element 200 intended to be loaded with paint (application element), and a assembly 300 ensuring maintenance between the application element 200 and the support 100.

The support 100 is generally in the form of a classic metallic paint roller frame.

From the handle 110 at its end, the wire 120 first describes a section straight 122 aligned with a main axis X of the handle 110, then deviates laterally from the direction of the handle, and forms a bend 125 sufficiently closed to ultimately form a rectilinear return 127 and direction substantially perpendicular to the handle 110. This return 127 is however here of a particularly short length.

The paint application element 200 is held in position on this return 127 by the holding means 300, without the possibility of sliding along the return 127 and without the possibility of rotation around it back 127.

For this, the fastening means 300 have a portion 310 which extends along the wire 120 towards the handle 110 and is fixed on a portion elbow 125.

The holding means 300 further comprise a ball joint, consisting of a hub part 355 secured to the brush head 200 and a receptacle part, receptacle part composed by an association of the aforementioned element 310 with a second element 320 attached to the wire.

The two elements 310 and 320 forming a receptacle can be brought together from each other by tightening, the hub 355 being able to be immobilized in the receptacle by this tightening. The two approximable elements 310 and 320 therefore form two jaws around the hub 355.

A first jaw 310, which pinches the elbow 125 of the wire 120, remains fixed during screwing, the other jaw 320 is driven along the back 127 when screwing.

To engage the elbow of the wire 120, the fixed jaw 310 extends towards the sleeve 110 by forming a clamp which snaps onto the elbow 125.

Cette gorge 316 est ouverte vers un côté du plan géométrique principal du support 100.As can be seen in Figure 2, the clamp forms two walls lateral 312 and 313 which delimit a groove 316, in which groove the wire 120 extends. This groove 316 is open towards one side of the plane main geometry of the support 100.

The wall 312 carries on its internal face a protrusion 317 running along the free edge of this wall 312. This protrusion 317 and placed in such a way so that the wire element 120 is placed between this protuberance 317 and the throat bottom 316.

The outgrowth 317 has an oblique slope towards the bottom of the groove 316 which delimits, together with the opposite wall 313, a shape which converges away from the bottom. This throat 316 with edges converging ensures stable maintenance of the metallic wire 120 in the bottom of groove 316, without play.

La paroi opposée 313 externe au coude 125, s'oppose, elle, à un éventuel glissement de la machoire 310 en direction du retour rectiligne 127.The side wall 312 carrying the protrusion 317 is placed on the side internal of the elbow 125 and thus opposes a sliding of the assembly 310 away from the rectilinear return 127. The opposite wall 313 external to the elbow 125, it opposes a possible sliding of the jaw 310 in direction of rectilinear return 127.

The jaw 310 is therefore put in place by simple reconciliation in force on the wire 120, the walls 312 and 313 moving apart one of the the other during the establishment.

The jaw 310 extends beyond the elbow 125 towards the outside of this preventing friction of the dirty metal against the surface to paint.

In the present case, the jaw 310 has, apart from its clamp part intended to engage the elbow 125, a part intended to receive the wire which is generally clear.

In this case, the jaw 310 has a through passage into which the return 127 is introduced via its end then the jaw 310 is pivoted around the straight part 127 until present the opening of the groove 316 facing the elbow 125.

To facilitate disengagement of the clamp, a tab 314 is provided extending from the free edge of the wall 313 away from the groove 316. A pressure of the finger on this tab 314 produces a separation of the wall 313 relative to the wire 120 and a sliding of the wire out of the clamp.

The other jaw 320 of the ball, which is driven by screwing, has a longitudinal channel 322 of the same diameter as that of the wired return 127. The length of this channel is chosen so that, when the two jaws 310 and 320 are closed on the hub 355, the end of the jaw 320 protrudes very slightly from the end of the wired return 127.

Le vissage de la vis 330 vient repousser la mâchoire 320 vers la mâchoire 310, prenant en serrage le moyeu 355.The wired return 127 is itself provided at this end with a internal threaded passage in which a screw 330 is engaged. The screwing of the screw 330 pushes the jaw 320 towards the jaw 310, taking tightening the hub 355.

Thus, by chosen angular positioning of the brush head 200 then tightening the screw 330, the user obtains a tool whose support is elongated and narrow, and the application element of which is positioned so optimal depending on the location to be reached.

On décrira maintenant en détail la partie réceptacle de la rotule, partie formée par les machoires 310 et 320.We will now describe in detail the receptacle part of the ball joint, part formed by the jaws 310 and 320.

The jaws 310 and 320 each form a cavity 315, 325 of spherical shape. These two cavities 315 and 325 face each other and form both of them an overall cavity 340 which receives about two thirds of the hub 355.

The angular clearance allowed for the brush head 200 is limited by the edges of this opening, the limit positions of the head of brush 200 being those where the connecting element 358 abuts against the edges of the opening.

Here, this cavity 340 is sufficiently open to be able to position the brush head in an angular cone of around 60 ° around of the main axis X of the support 100, which is also here the axis of the handle 110.

To strengthen the fixing produced by tightening, cutouts 345 in the edges of the cavity 340, which form notches for the connecting element 358 of the brush head 200.

These notches 345 each have a circular shape for receive the link 358 in a complementary manner.

These notches 345 are four in number here, placed at the four cardinal points around the X axis. A first notch 345 maintains the brush head 200 in the main plane of the support 100 in position oblique to the X axis, a second notch 345 holds the head of brush 200 on the opposite side of the X axis and still in the main plane of the support 100.

The third and fourth notches 345 correspond to two opposite oblique positions with respect to the X axis, this time in a plane perpendicular to the main plane of the support 100.

The angular adjustment can be carried out here according to two dimensions, that is, both in the plane of the mount 100 and transverse to this plane. Alternatively, the angular adjustment is limited to a travel in a chosen plane and / or in a limited angular range.

In FIG. 1, the brush head 200 is placed in a position preferred where it extends obliquely to the X axis of the handle 110, i.e. obliquely to the main axis X of the support 100, here in the main plane of the support 100 and obliquely to the return 127.

A lock in this position is particularly suitable for paint in hard to reach places.

The brush head also points on the same side as that on which it points the wired return 127, which is advantageous.

In another embodiment, provision is made to adopt means fixing 300 which have no angular adjustment means, the applicator element 200 being kept fixed in a position advantageous where the axis of the applicator element is oblique to the main direction of support 100.

The ideal oblique orientation is that of Figure 1, in the plane of the support first, pointing on the same side as the return 127 on the other hand.

It is planned according to the invention to replace the brush head 200 with any other application element suitable for being soaked in paint, adopting rotation control of the application element, i.e. a means of fixing which does not allow complete freedom of rotation.

The brush head 200 can be a flat type brush head, as shown in figure 3.

In FIG. 4, the application element 200 is a shoe composed of a plate 210, substantially rigid, covered with a textile layer 220.

The rigid plate 210 is provided in the central part with a finger link, referenced 358 as in the previous example, link finger 358 which carries a hub 355 at its end.

This hub 355 is engaged in a spherical receptacle 340 formed by two jaws 310 and 320 similar to those previously described.

On notera toutefois que le réceptacle sphérique 340 présente une découpe de bordure particulièrement prononcée vers un côté du plan principal du support 100.Note, however, that the spherical receptacle 340 has a particularly pronounced border cut to one side of the plane support main 100.

Cette découpe de bordure permet de placer le patin 200 de telle sorte que le plan de ce dernier soit pratiquement parallèle au plan du support 100.This border cut allows the pad 200 to be placed in such a way so that the plane of the latter is practically parallel to the plane of the support 100.

More generally, such a particularly open border towards one side of the plane of the support 100 allows more angular movement pronounced skate 200, allowing the plane of skate 200 to be brought closer to plane of the support 100, thus forming a tool which can be easily inserted in a cramped place.

The main axis of the shoe 200, that is to say the axis normal to the shoe, can be placed in a particularly oblique direction with respect to the axis of the handle 110, which is also the main axis of support 100.

In this embodiment, the shoe 200 can be kept under different orientations with respect to the metal frame 100, according to the user needs. Again, the edge of the cavity 340 forms 345 semicircular notches which strengthen the retention of the 355 hub in particular positions of the pad 200.

In FIG. 5, fixing means 300 similar to those of the examples previously described, however the application element of paint 200 is a set forming both a rotary sleeve 250 and axis of rotation 230 of this sleeve.

The axis of rotation 230 forms at its first end the hub 355, and extends from the hub to receive the sleeve in rotation.

This tool therefore has a support similar to mounts conventional paint rollers, but the roller is mounted on an axis not not aligned with the return 127, but attached to the support via an element allowing angular adjustment.

The axis 240 can be placed by the user in a chosen position, preferably in one of the stable positions where the axis 240 comes fit into one of the cutouts at the edge of the cavity 340.

The angular adjustment of the roller position allows the user optimize the shape of its tool by adapting to the type of location to be reached.

Préférentiellement, on maintient le rouleau dans une position oblique par rapport à l'axe principal X du manche 110, idéalement oblique par rapport au retour 127 et idéalement dans le plan du support 100.Preferably, the roller is kept in an oblique position relative to the main axis X of the handle 110, ideally oblique by relative to the return 127 and ideally in the plane of the support 100.

It is also planned according to a variant to propose a means of fixing 300 does not allow angular adjustment of the positioning of the 250/240 roller, holding the latter obliquely to the axis X, preferably in the plane of the support 100 and preferably oblique to the return 127.

According to a variant of the present invention, which relates to the assembly different application elements proposed above (brush, pad, roller), means of rotation are provided, for example a ball joint, which are left free to rotate during application, in a range of limited rotation, preferably around an oblique position relative to handle 110. This arrangement is particularly advantageous in the case of a skate.

Cette limitation angulaire se fait par exemple, en limitant de manière choisie l'ouverture de la cavité 340 de réception du moyeu, et en ne produisant aucun serrage du moyeu 355.This angular limitation is done for example, by limiting so choose the opening of the hub receiving cavity 340, and do not producing no tightening of the hub 355.

This provision allows the painter to introduce the tool in a place particularly inaccessible, and by moving the application element 200 in this authorized range, to cause a change of configuration of the tool towards a configuration more suited to the phase of actual application.

To produce a good adaptability of the tool, provision is made, in variant, to adopt a telescopic handle 110 on the wire 120, with means holding in a telescoping position of selected extent.
