Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft das Gebiet der Bestimmung von Pulswellenlaufzeiten als Möglichkeit zur nicht-invasiven Blutdruckmessung von Patienten oder Spendern. Nach der Lehre der Erfindung wird ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung zur Pulswellenlaufzeitbestimmung dadurch weitergebildet, daß eine mit der Blutdichte korrelierenden Größe bestimmt und deren Einfluß auf die Pulswellenlaufzeit kompensiert wird. Auf diese Weise können genauere Blutdruckangaben erhalten werden. In einer Weiterbildung der Erfindung wird die Bestimmung einer mit der Blutdichte korrelierenden Größe durch ein Meßgerät zur relativen Blutvolumen- oder Hämatokritänderung vorgenommen. Die erfindungsgemäße Vorrichtung kann auch als Teil einer Blutbehandlungseinrichtung wie einer Hämodialyse- und/oder -filtrationsvorrichtung eingesetzt werden, bei denen eine möglichst kontinuierliche und genaue Blutdrucküberwachung u.a. aufgrund einer mit der Behandlung einhergehenden Blutvolumen- und damit Blutdichteänderung erwünscht ist.
