         whereby the central locking drive (10a, 10b, 11) has at least one eccentric steering pin (12), which describes a peripheral arc and thereby engages in a steering fashion in at least a first fork-like seating (13) of the central locking element (8) in order to produce the functional positions "unlocked" and "locked", and
         whereby the steering pin (12) can additionally be steered into a functional position "theft-secured",
         characterised in that
         the central locking element (8) has, in addition to the first fork-like seating (13), at least one further second fork-like seating (14), whereby both fork-like seatings (13, 14) project at least partially into the peripheral arc of the steering pin (12).
    2. The vehicle door lock according to claim 1, characterised in that the two fork-like seatings (13, 14) are arranged on a common arc of circle (R) of a circular-arc segment (8a) of the central locking element (8).
    3. The vehicle door lock according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the two fork-like seatings (13, 14) have four steering faces (a, b, c and d) .
    4. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the central locking element (8) has a central locking pin (15), which together with the central locking element (8) assumes the positions "unlocked", "locked" and "theft-secured".
    5. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the central locking element (8) is fixed in the three positions "unlocked", "locked" and "theft-secured" by end stops in the housing and/or by notches (16, 17).
    6. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the locking lever system (5) has an interior locking lever (5) in an active connection with the central locking element (8) in the positions "unlocked", "locked" and "theft-secured".
    7. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the interior locking lever (5) has an unlocking contour (18) and a locking contour (19), whereby the unlocking counter (18) acts on the central locking pin (5) for the unlocking and the locking contour (19) acts on the central locking pin (15) for the locking.
    8. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the unlocking contour (18) and the locking contour (19) describe, in the presence of swivelling motions of the interior locking lever (5), in each case a contour circular arc (K1, K2) about an axis (21) of the interior locking lever (5) .
    9. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that the central locking pin (15) describes a pin circular arc (Z1) in the presence of swivelling motions of the central locking element (8) about its axis (20), whereby respective contour circular arc (K1, K2) and pin circular arc (Z1) intersect one another for the unlocking and locking, whilst the contour circular arcs (K1, K2) run into position "theft-secured" at a distance from the central locking pin (15).
    10. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the axis (20) of the central locking element (8) and the axis (21) of the interior locking lever (5) are arranged parallel to one another, whereby central locking element (8) and interior locking lever (5) lie in different planes and partially overlap one another.
    11. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the interior locking lever (5), after each operation, assumes its rest position again in a spring-supported manner.
    12. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that the interior locking lever (5) is affixed to an interior door handle (3) by means of an operating rod (4) or an operating Bowden cable.
    13. The vehicle door lock according to any one of claims 1 to 12, characterised in that unlocking or locking of the vehicle door lock requires a double operation of the interior door handle (3).
