Definitions
- the subject of the present invention is a drilling machine or sounding and more particularly such a machine equipped with a emergency stop system that does not require voluntary intervention of the user.
- FIG. 1 there is shown in a simplified manner a drilling machine 10.
- this comprises a platform 12 preferably fitted with tracks 14.
- a guide mast 16 On the platform 12 is hingedly mounted a guide mast 16, vertical or tilted in working position, the mast being articulated on the platform at its lower end 16a.
- the mast 16 is used for translational movement a drilling head or a rotation head 18 which is integral of a carriage 20 moving along the mast 16.
- a drilling head or a rotation head 18 which is integral of a carriage 20 moving along the mast 16.
- the drilling head 18 is mounted the upper end 22a of an auger or a rod drilling 22.
- the rotation of the auger or the drilling rod by the head 18 is obtained by a hydraulic motor 24 supplied by a distributor and a hydraulic pump 26.
- the displacement in translation of the drilling head 18 is most often carried out using a belt or chain 28 which passes over end pulleys 30 and 32.
- the pulley 32 is driven and driven by a motor hydraulic 34, itself supplied by a hydraulic distributor and the pump 26.
- the hydraulic pump 26 is rotated by a heat or electric motor 36 preferably mounted on the platform 12.
- the machine is equipped at least one contact detection means arranged close to the lower end of the mast, and therefore close to the part of the auger or the rod close to the ground on which the user is called upon to intervene, this detection means is actually placed in the area where the user of the machine risks being dragged by the drilling tool or poll when it comes to intervening on it. If the user is struck by the drilling or boring tool, the user will strike unintentionally a means of detection which will cause automatically stop the means for rotating the tool drilling or sounding.
- the emergency stop means include at least two contact detection means arranged on either side from the lower end of the mast.
- the detection intervenes whatever the direction of rotation of the drilling or boring tool.
- a first engine hydraulic associated with a first hydraulic distributor is powered by a pump to cause the translational movement of the head of drilling.
- a second hydraulic motor associated with a second hydraulic distributor is supplied by said pump to cause the rotation of the tool, the control means are capable of stopping the engine thermal or electric driving the pump and acting on the distributors to interrupt the supply of hydraulic motors, and the application of the detection signal to the control means causes the interruption from the hydraulic supply at least from the second hydraulic motor.
- the detection that the machine user has been caught in the drilling or sounding directly causes the engines to stop hydraulic and in particular the stopping of the hydraulic motor controlling the tool rotation. This avoids the inertia of the engine assembly since, in acting directly on the hydraulic distributor of this motor, it stops immediately and the same goes for the tool of course.
- FIG. 2 we will describe the mechanical part of the emergency stop system.
- the emergency stop system consists of two detection assemblies, respectively referenced 40 and 42, which are arranged on either side of the lower part of the mast 16.
- the two sets detection are secured to the lower end of the mast.
- the two detection assemblies 40 and 42 could occupy the same relative positions relative to the mast when the latter is in the vertical position, but be mounted on the platform 12.
- the two detection assemblies 40 and 42 being identical, we will only describe the set 42.
- the detection set is made up, preferably, by a mechanical detection flap 44, of general shape rectangular, which is pivotally mounted about a vertical axis of pivoting 46 relative to a base 48 which is directly fixed on the lower part 16a of the mast.
- a reminder system schematically represented by a spring 50 is used to hold the detection panel 44 in the rest position shown in Figure 3.
- the upper edge of the panel 44 is disposed at height H above the ground corresponding to that where the user of the machine when it comes to work on the tool.
- the panel has a height h sufficient to be struck by the user in all positions where it can be caught by the rotation of the tool.
- All detection 42 also includes an electrical contact 52, the part of which mobile 54 is activated as soon as sufficient force is applied to the panel 44, force causing the displacement thereof relative to its base 48.
- Contact 52 delivers, when activated, a detection signal D.
- the contact 52 can be of any kind, for example, with a rod mobile 54 as shown in Figure 3. It could also be a piezoelectric pressure sensor or any other sensor suitable suitable for transmitting a detection signal as soon as the shutter detection 44 is removed from its rest position.
- FIG 4 there is shown the circuits associated with the two detectors 40 and 42.
- the movable contacts 52, the detectors 40 and 42 are electrically connected to the control assembly 60 of the assembly motor 62 of the drilling or boring machine.
- the engine assembly consists of a heat engine 64 which drives a pump 66 supplying hydraulic distributors 68 and 70, these distributors themselves serving to power the hydraulic motors 24 and 34 which respectively control the rotation of the drilling tool 22 and the translational movement of the drilling head 18.
- the drilling or sounding may include several hydraulic pumps supplying the distributors.
- the machine can also include several motors electric or thermal.
- a detection signal D When a detection signal D is emitted by all of detection 40 or 42, this signal is applied to the control circuit 60 of the motor assembly 62.
- This control assembly transmits a instruction to interrupt or divert the hydraulic flow supplied by the hydraulic distributors 68 and 70 to motors 24 and 34. This gives immediate shutdown of hydraulic motors 24 and 34 virtually without inertia effect.
- the operation of the heat engine 64 Preferably, the operation of the heat engine 64.
- the emergency stop system consists of two detectors arranged on either side of the lower end of the mast.
- the emergency stop system had only one detector with a side of the lower end of the mast.
- the emergency system has several detectors on each side of the mast, these detectors being shifted vertically.
- the detection system 40 or 42 only emits a detection signal under the effect of an impact intensity higher than a predetermined intensity in order to avoid untimely.
