Definitions
- the present invention relates to disposable containers after a single use, intended for food products, generally having a body in thin thermoplastic material such as polyethylene or polystyrene and which is closed by a tear-off or tear-off cover, covered by a cover of constitution similar to that of the body.
- Such containers are widely used today, especially in mass distribution, for liquid, pasty or solid food products.
- bottles with two adjoining compartments have already been proposed. That one empties successively or one into the other.
- bottles containing, in addition to a sterile liquid, an active product placed in a capsule that is pierced to cause mixed are already been proposed.
- the existing mixing solutions are not satisfactory in the case of food product containers, especially when the product is intended for be consumed in the container itself (ambulatory consumption).
- the invention aims to provide a container in which the mixing can be carried out. conveniently and completely by opening wide communication at will from one component to the other, even before removing the container lid.
- the two lids can be made of one of the materials commonly used in the food industry. They are, for example, made up of thermosealable and peelable thermoplastic or in aluminized paper.
- the body may contain in particular a milk product or dairy expertise or pastry.
- the lid may contain in particular a dry, liquid or pasty product such as that: a chocolate product, dried fruits, hazelnut fragments or condiments, for example garlic, chives, olive shavings or cereal petals.
- a dry, liquid or pasty product such as that: a chocolate product, dried fruits, hazelnut fragments or condiments, for example garlic, chives, olive shavings or cereal petals.
- the fitting of the cover on the body leaves a space or a breach by which the lids are simultaneously pulled outwards or allows the formation of a breach when pulling on the leg.
- This result can easily be reached with containers whose opening has a shaped rim external allowing welding of the lids along a peripheral zone having a side width not exceeding that of the breach.
- the lids are simultaneously torn off by progressive reversal from the most distant location from the breach or space.
- the container has an outer rim allowing a sealing of the cover along a peripheral zone having one side of width not exceeding that of space or breach.
- the container shown in Figure 1 has a body 10 which is externally the same way as a jar of the type commonly used for packaging milk products. It is in one piece and generally manufactured by thermoforming. It has a lower part for receiving a product food, the base of which has a round shape or is close to a square rounded corners. The lower part is connected by a shoulder 12 to a zone for receiving a cover 14. This zone has an inverted L-shaped section of so as to have a flat edge 16 and in general a reinforcing fold 18.
- the cover 14 has a domed bottom for receiving a second product food provided with a hooking rim which, in the illustrated case, has an edge support plate 20 on the edge 16 and a fold having a hooking projection on the fold 18 by clipping.
- the body may have an internal receiving pocket 24 a spoon.
- the flat edges can have a square shape allowing collect them in "packs" in an overpack and, in the case of the invention, to reduce the fraction of the periphery where a breach must be provided, by comparison with a circular shape. Clipping is such that it allows edges of the cover and the body to move away from each other to allow passage to the covers which will now be described and to allow their turnaround.
- the container body is closed by a cover 26 fixed on the flat edge 16 of so as to be torn off by inversion under the action of a traction.
- fixing can be done by heat sealing.
- the outer face of the cover 26 carries a band 28 one end of which constitutes a tab which projects out of the container and whose the other end 30 is folded under the cover and fixed to it so energetic enough to turn the cover over and bring it in completely outside the container.
- the method of attachment must be such that the tab drives the entire seal and does not tear only part of the seal.
- the cover is also closed by a cover 32 fixed on the edge 20, of same constitution as the cover 26.
- a strip 34 is mounted on the cover 32 in the same way as the strip 28 on the cover 26. It can be stuck on the strip 28 over the entire length opposite the two strips or over a fraction thereof only length. In general, one end of the strip 34 projects out of the container and constitutes the tab with the end of the strip 28. However, it is possible to form the tab only with one strip.
- the cover may in particular contain chocolate products (nuggets or powder), fruit (dry or even fresh), fragments of hazelnuts or walnuts to constitute a dessert.
- the lid can also contain condiments such as garlic, chives, olive shavings, or cereal petals, especially with fromage blanc pre-drained.
- a space or a breach may be provided on along one of the sides over a length at least equal to the width of the cappings.
- this breach consists of a local interruption of the cover fold and possibly by a notch in the edges 16 and 20. It can be closed by a clamp 31 welded on the tab and constituting with it a reinforced pull tab or tab.
- Manufacturing can be carried out in several workshops, each specialized.
- the body and the lid are produced by thermoforming and sent to two workshops different.
- the body is filled and the cover 26 provided with its strip is welded.
- the cover is filled and sealed. Then the cover is fitted on the body and the legs are fixed to each other, possibly with pliers, to form a zipper.
- the container may have different shapes from that which has been represented, including understood a form of revolution which requires a breach on half of the periphery. It may be sufficient to provide only one band provided locally secure the lids to one another.
- the flat edges 16 and 26 have a triangular shape with rounded angles.
- Each seal is of one single piece with the corresponding strip.
- the cover and the strip are cut from the same sheet of material and then the strip is folded over the cap.
- the flat edges show advantageously notches to make it easier to take the strip tab or strips protruding from the jar.
- the opening of the lid may be better to give the opening of the lid a diameter slightly smaller than the internal diameter of the body opening to facilitate the transfers.
- the fold from the edge of the cover has projections in the form of internal gadroons distributed angularly. They come to hang under the edge of the edge of the body.
- the fold 18 of the edge of the cover has a V shape allowing it to hang on the flat edge 16 of the body.
- the body 10 and the cover 14 are of revolution and the space required to extract the lids has a 180 ° angular development.
- the invention is capable of being implemented with all forms of container in common use, especially in points of sale of products to be consumed from the container itself and in the large distribution. It allows mixing only immediately before consumption, which is favorable from a taste point of view and moreover the problems encountered when mixing milk products with additives that are difficult to obtain without ferments and germs opposing a long-term storage of the milk product. It is also applicable to frozen products.
