Definitions
- the invention relates to an electronic operating device for gas discharge lamps according to the preamble of claim 1. It is in particular circuit topologies that identify the potential of at least one output terminal (2,3) reduce compared to the earth potential.
- the terminals are under output terminals of an operating device to which lamps are connected. Become If no details are given on the reference to a potential, the potentials in in relation to the earth potential.
- the potential of the output terminals of an electronic control gear for gas discharge lamps should be kept as small as possible for the following reasons: Firstly, if the potential of an output terminal is too high, an insulation problem arises. Leakage currents to earth potential can no longer be tolerated; the touch safety of the devices can U. can no longer be guaranteed. There the level of the potential of an output terminal is also a safety-relevant variable their effective value is limited by the IEC standard 60928.
- the object of the present invention is an operating device according to the preamble of claim 1, in which the maximum of the potentials of the output terminals is as low as possible.
- An electronic control gear for gas discharge lamps usually has one AC voltage generator (G), which provides an AC voltage, which has a frequency that is significantly higher than the frequency of the mains voltage.
- the AC voltage is usually unipolar at a generator output (1) with respect to a reference potential (E) that is close to the earth potential.
- a value that is suitable for operating the lamp is the AC voltage in a reactance network (Z) is fed.
- This provides a first output terminal (2) ready, to which one or more lamps connected in series are connected.
- the second output terminal (3) leads to the via the coupling capacitor (CB) Reference potential (E).
- the coupling capacitor carries the DC voltage component AC voltage source, so that the lamp with DC voltage-free AC voltage is operated. It is often necessary to use the coupling capacitor (CB) is connected to the reference potential (E) so that the one connected to it Voltage from other components of the control gear can be better used.
- the potential must be reduced by at least one output terminal (2,3).
- the first output terminal (2) has the higher potential, which is why this is primarily must be reduced.
- this takes place in that in the connection between the second output terminal (3) and the reference potential (E)
- An electrical component (VC) is inserted in series as a voltage source acts.
- the reduction voltage (UVC) formed there must have a voltage profile have, which is suitable, the potential of the first output terminal (2) reduce.
- This condition can e.g. B. are adhered to by the fact that electrical component is a controlled voltage source.
- the control is then so choose that the frequency of the reduction voltage (UVC) equals the frequency is the AC voltage generated by the AC voltage generator (G).
- Said controlled voltage source can be cost-effectively coupled Realize coils.
- the potential of the second output terminal (3) may be taken by the above measures naturally do not become greater than the potential of the first output terminal (2). Ideally, the potentials of the output terminals (2,3) are the same.
- Figure 1 shows the series connection of an alternating voltage generator (G), one Reactance network (Z), a lamp (LP), one acting as a voltage source electrical component (VC) and a coupling capacitor (CB).
- the AC voltage generator (G) feeds its voltage between the generator output (1) and the reference potential (E).
- the reactance network (Z) is essentially connected between the generator output (1) and the first output terminal (2). As indicated by dashed lines, the reactance network (Z) can also have connections to the Have reference potential (E) and to the second output terminal (3).
- the lamp (LP) lies between the first (2) and the second output terminal (3). Instead of One lamp (LP) can also operate several lamps in series. Between the second output terminal (3) and the reference potential (E) Series connection of the coupling capacitor (CB) and an electrical one Component (VC) that acts as a voltage source.
- the reactance network (Z) now consists of a lamp choke (L1) and a resonance capacitor (CR1).
- the lamp choke (L1) is between the generator output (1) of the AC voltage generator (G) and the first output terminal (2).
- the resonance capacitor (CR1) is parallel to the lamp (LP).
- the electrical Component (VC) is designed as a coupled inductance (L11).
- the coupling with the lamp choke (L1) is indicated by the common core (4).
- the coupled one Inductance (L11) acts like one of the voltage across the lamp choke (L1) controlled voltage source.
- the coupling between the lamp choke (L1) and the coupled inductance (L11) is designed so that the potential of the first Output terminal (2) is reduced.
- the value of the inductance of the lamp choke (L1) and the coupled inductance (L11) is selected so that a a desired voltage determined by the alternating voltage generator (G) Lamp current.
