Description

The invention relates to a mobile device for continuous and discontinuous production of aqueous liquid colors from powdery components and water, especially based on dispersible polymer powders, and a process for the production of aqueous liquid colors by means of dispersion of powder compositions in water using this device.

Aqueous liquid colors, especially emulsion paints in the factory at the paint manufacturers in large dimensions Dissolvers made. To do this, water is first used in the dissolver, optionally in a mixture with secondary components such as Wetting agents, anti-foaming agents, preservatives are presented and with high-speed agitator pigments and fillers slowly entered. After the dispersing process the pigment paste obtained in this way with a slowly running agitator mixed with a plastic dispersion as a binder. The finished color is delivered in containers, which one Have water content in the emulsion paint from 30 to 50%.

Plastic powders (dispersion powders) redispersible in water can also be used to produce emulsion paints. With the development of water-redispersible plastic powders such as the Vinnapas R dispersion powders from Wacker-Chemie, it is now possible to avoid the transport of the large amount of water in the emulsion paint and to mix the emulsion paint directly at the processing site using a powder mixture and water. So far, the procedure has been such that the dispersion powder or the powder composition containing the dispersion powder was stirred into the mixing water on site by means of a stirring stick or a drill equipped with a stirrer. As a rule, however, this procedure does not achieve the same quality as with a liquid emulsion paint manufactured in the factory in permanently installed dissolvers.

A 2743509 relates to a large-volume, stationary facility for mixing powdered materials with liquids for the production of detergents. To do this a powder container via a pipe, which is at the top At the end of the mixing container, fill it with powder. The mixing container is on one to check the filling weight Weighing device set up. So that the weighing does not go through that The weight of the pipeline filled with powder is affected is supported by a support.

On the frame 1 below the mixing container 4 is an electronic Load cell 12 arranged with which the continuously the allocation chamber 10 in the mixing container 4 metered amount of powder and the metered amount of water is measured. In the Load cell 12 is a conventional, electronic one Weighing device, as it is also commercially available. This load cell is locked when the mobile device moves and only activated when the device is started up. The load cell 12 continuously detects those in the mixing container added amounts of powder components and water and forwards the measured values to the switching unit 9. On this One way is the metering of the mixture components controlled, and on the other hand, the complete metering registered, and after completion of the dosing the dispersing process initiated by the control.

The mixing of the powdered components of the recipe with the water is done using a dissolver 3. The dissolver 3 includes a vertically downward and centric to Mixing container 4 arranged shaft 3a and a dissolver disc 3b. The dissolver disk 3b is usually around a steel disc, which is equipped with teeth.

In a preferred embodiment, the dissolver 3 can be a steel arm 16 which is firmly connected to the mixing container 4 is to be folded away to the side for better cleaning the mixing container and the dissolver shaft and - Ensure disc. Furthermore, is on the bottom a plate 17 attached to the dissolver, preferably made of Stainless steel, which when the dissolver 3 is lowered into the mixing container 4, closes this completely upwards. Furthermore, the function status is always on the display the mobile device and it is displayed which further steps should follow.

An embodiment in which the device is also preferred equipped with a connection 18 for supplying water is. A permanently installed one leads from the water connection Line 19 to the mixing tank 4. At the water connection can also an additional water extraction facility is created, from which, for example, water is taken to clean the device can be.

The finished mixed color is generally filled into buckets. Therefore is in a preferred embodiment on the frame a component (bucket guard) installed, which monitors whether a bucket is ready for filling, so that no subordinate Bucket the control to remove the finished product Color does not allow. In a further preferred embodiment is the device with a level indicator Ultrasound base equipped with the fill level of the bucket can be monitored.

Another object of the invention is a method for Production of aqueous liquid colors by means of dispersion powder compositions, preferably dispersion powder compositions in water using this device. Due to the built-in load cell, it can now run continuously be worked, since any amount of powder Material can be refilled without these being exact beforehand must be weighed because the load cell 12 metered amount of powder is continuously and precisely measured, and the amount of water required by the switching unit depending on the recipe 9 is automatically allocated.

The powdery constituents, optionally as a mixture, filled in the hopper 8 and by means of the allocation disc 11 continuously conveyed into the mixing container 4. The quantity added is continuously from the load cell 12 measured and the metered amounts to the switching unit 9 reported. To stick the powdery particles Preventing on the wall of the mixing container 4 is preferred part of the water, generally half to two thirds of the total amount of water in the recipe in the mixing tank 4, submitted. After completing the filling process, the Dissolver 3 started by the switching unit 9. The speed of rotation of the dissolver 3 can be set variably and are adapted to the respective production status. The stirring speeds are preferably 500 to 1500 Rpm, with the procedure being such that during the dispersion is worked with a higher stirring speed, and after stirred the dispersion phase at low speed becomes.

The recipes for the production of aqueous liquid colors are known to the person skilled in the art and do not require any further explanation here. In general, the compositions contain in addition pigments, for example the dispersion powder Titanium dioxide or inorganic or organic colored pigments, Fillers such as calcite, dolomite or chalk. Are suitable also compositions which, in addition to the dispersible polymer powder other binders such as lime, water glass and / or cement contain. It is also possible to use liquid, watery colors using powdered binders such as silicone resin powder, alone or in combination with dispersion powder.

The addition of water, the powder delivery, the duration of the mixing process, the dispersing process, and optionally the Varying the conveying speed of the powder and the speed of rotation of the dissolver, is via the switching unit 9 automatically regulated. The entire manufacturing process will from the start of filling to the removal of the finished dispersion carried out under program control, the optimal mixing ratios, Mixing times, dosing rates and the dissolver speed are preprogrammed and all process steps expire automatically. The switching unit 9 ends the Mixing process automatically. After the dispersion has ended is the finished liquid paint on the sampling valve 15 for filling taken.

A new mixing process is preferably only complete after Emptying of the mixing container 4 started. But it can also be proceeded in such a way that, despite the fact that one Remaining amount in the mixing container 4 initiated a new mixing process becomes. By using the load cell, color approaches are possible produce different amounts, so that a even greater flexibility in terms of what is actually needed Color quantities are guaranteed.

In order to avoid color build-up during longer standing times, you can In a further preferred embodiment, this is also done be that after the complete removal of the thus obtained Liquid paint automatically replenishes water, which achieved an immediate rinsing of the mixing container 4 becomes. The control can be set so that the Operator can decide whether to add water alone to serve the cleaning of the mixing container 4 or as Approach to be used for a new mixture.

Manual operation is limited in the preferred one Embodiments of the method on filling the powder Material and the removal of the ready mixed liquid color. The advantage of the device according to the invention is that due to the mobile mixer in is able to apply a liquid, aqueous emulsion paint directly at the place of application, for example at the construction site, from the To manufacture powder components and water of high quality, to obtain the previously only with dissolvers installed at the factory was. With the monitoring of the dosage by means of the load cell 12 continuous operation is now possible. It is no longer necessary to weigh the batches precisely Amounts of powder are added, which then with the corresponding Amount of water to be mixed. With the load cell the continuous dosing is monitored and with the switching unit 9 continuously fed the appropriate amount of water.
