Abstract

Enclosure for collapsible swimming pools, which comprises a framework, a reinforced curtain and an alignment of lateral supporting sections, in which the upper frame is formed by two tubular sections (1) and (2) laterally self-assembling, in which the section (1) incorporates a wide circular open recess (1.1) in which is housed a clasp (3) which holds on its inside a border (4.1) of the curtain (4), moreover it is possible to form the union of the sections (1) and (2) with the corner pieces (5) which have a flange (5.1) below, rectangular tubular elements (6) serving to implement the union and provide reinforcing which fit inside the sections (1) and the corner pieces (5).

Description

    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention proposed herein comprises a modular enclosure for collapsible swimming pools, from among the means of enclosure and support of the multilayer plastic sheet of this type of swimming pool.
  • This invention is characterised in a special construction of the mouth of the swimming pool, based on two self-assembling extruded sections which hold a clasp for the border of the plastified fabric and which are assembled in cast corner pieces, curved in section or another system.
  • BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
  • The collapsible swimming pools are lightweight constructions for their structure but stiff from their design, to the extent that they are not subject to change.
  • This applicant is unaware of the existence of modular enclosures for swimming pools having the characteristics of facility of assembly, possibility of enlargement or reduction in accordance with the requirements of any given moment and user, strength and durability of that which is described hereunder.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The invention object of the present specification relates to a modular enclosure for collapsible swimming pools, from among all those means of enclosure of this seasonal type of swimming pool and which, at the same time, serves as support for the curtain reinforced with polyester fabric inserted between two layers of PVC, for use with this type of swimming pool.
  • This invention is characterised in a special construction of the swimming pool mouth, based on two tubular aluminium sections, extruded and self-assembling which constitute the upper perimeter or frame of the swimming pool, complementing each other and in a vertically aligned arrangement, in modules or segments of fixed length.
  • These sections are erected fitted into segments of different length, in the manner of a staggered finish, for the purpose of providing continuity and rigidity to the assembly of both over the length of the frame.
  • The section located on the upper part holds a clasp, in the form of a rod, into which is introduced the border of the plastified curtain fabric, for which the rod has a broad circular recess which permits the edge of the curtain to pass through it. Thanks to it being possible to introduce the border directly over the rod that is present in the upper section, it is not necessary to move the entire curtain to one extremity of the structure, it being possible to insert said curtain by segments. The clasp has a projection or lip which engages in a trough made in the circular recess of the section for the purpose of achieving a better grip between section and clasp.
  • These two sections of the frame are assembled in some angle pieces mounted on each corner, of cast metal construction and into which are fitted the ends of the sections, the assembly being without the need for pins or screws, so that, after securing the curtain, the latter also supports the structure, in collaboration with a regular tubular reinforcing core, rectangular in shape and inserted into the upper section.
  • Following the assembly of the frame, the securing of the curtain border is done, by imparting a turning movement to this reinforced end of the curtain which, for detaching, has to be applied in the opposite direction.
  • DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • To complete the description being made and to facilitate the best and simplest understanding of the characteristics of the invention, attached to the present descriptive specification is a set of drawings, forming an integral part thereof, in which, by way of illustration and never restrictively, the following aspects are shown:
  • Figure 1 is a view in perspective of a segment of the frame of the swimming pool, its two sections being mounted in a staggered arrangement.
  • Figure 2 shows a top view and an elevation of the corner of the frame, in which a stiffening section has been incorporated into the upper section and in the angle piece.
  • Figure 3 shows a detail of how the union is formed between the border of the curtain and the upper section.
  • Figure 4 shows how the internal stiffening element is positioned.
  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
  • In the light of the foregoing, the present invention relates to a modular enclosure for collapsible swimming pools, from among the means of enclosure of these swimming pools which have a reinforced curtain, a framework, an upper frame and an alignment of a diversity of lateral supporting sections.
  • This enclosure is characterised by a frame formed by two laterally self-assembling, tubular sections (1) and (2) of extruded aluminium of approximately 1.25 m, the two sections being perfectly joined. The upper section (1) has a clasp (3) which holds the border (4.1) of the plastified curtain (4). Said clasp (3) is housed inside the open circular recess (1.1) of the upper section (1).
  • The corner unions of the sections (1) and (2) are formed by means of the corner pieces (5) which come with flanges (5.1) on both extremities. To achieve a better join between the corner pieces (5), rectangular tubular elements (6) are employed by way of reinforcement which are mounted inside the corner pieces (5) and the sections (1).
  • In figure 4 it can be seen how the rectangular tubular element (6) can be used not only for joining the sections (1) to the corner pieces (5) but also for joining straight segments formed by two pieces of section (1) in continuation.
  • The essential nature of this invention is not altered by varying the materials, shape, size and disposition of the component elements, described in a manner which is not restrictive, said description being sufficient for an expert to proceed to its reproduction.
