Description

The present invention relates to a cover for a container for opening by peeling, comprising a first layer fixed by adhesion to a second layer comprising a sealing agent on its external face, this agent being intended to allow the lid to adhere to the container by sealing.

The lids intended to be fixed by sealing on the peel-open containers are generally provided with a grip tab forming a lateral projection.

However, when the fixing of the lids is ensured by heat sealing, part of the heat supplied is absorbed locally by the tab, so that the seal at the base of the latter is often of lower quality and less resistant than elsewhere.

The present invention proposes in particular to remedy this disadvantage and, to do this, it relates to a seal having the structure indicated above, this cover being characterized in that the first layer has a cutout interior delimiting a gripping tab, and in that the bond strength between the first and second layers is greater than the bond strength between the second layer and the container.

The gripping tab of this cover does not constitute lateral protrusion since it is located at a level cut out inside the first layer.

The heat supplied for the sealing therefore remains evenly distributed along the line along which the seal adheres to the container, which avoids the presence on this line of variable quality and resistance grip zones.

Note also that the different adhesion forces between the constituent layers of the cover on the one hand, and between the lid and the container on the other hand, guarantee an opening correct without duplication of layers.

Preferably, the tongue has a root connecting it to the first layer, one free end opposite the root and two sides connecting the root to the free end, a hole being made in the first layer so as to be delimited at least partially through the free end of the tongue.

Thanks to this hole, the tongue can be more easily grasped for the opening of the container.

According to a particular embodiment, the cover according to the invention comprises a third layer fixed by adhesion to the first layer and having a hole giving access to the tongue.

The third layer strengthens the strength of the cover and prevents the tab from accidentally separating from the first diaper when traction is exerted on it in order to opening the container.

To facilitate gripping of the tongue, the hole in the third layer is preferably at least as large as the tongue.

According to a first variant, the hole of the third layer is delimited at least in part by the free end of the tongue and / or by at least one of the sides of the latter.

According to a second variant, the hole of the third layer is defined by a particular cut delimiting a tongue additional covering at least in part the tongue of the first layer, the additional tongue being integral with the first.

According to a third variant, the tongue of the first layer extends at least in part on the third layer of so that it is easier to enter manually.

Finally, it will be specified that each of the first, second and third layer is made of paper or aluminum, or is made by a plastic film.

  • la figure 1 est une vue en perspective montrant un récipient fermé par un opercule à deux couches conforme à l'invention, la languette de l'opercule étant relevée ;
  • la figure 2 est une vue en coupe partielle et à échelle agrandie selon la figure II-II de la figure 1 ;
  • la figure 3 est une vue analogue à la figure 2 mais montrant le récipient en cours d'ouverture ;
  • la figure 4 est une vue en coupe partielle et à échelle agrandie analogue à la figure 2 mais montrant un opercule à trois couches ;
Several embodiments of the present invention will be described below by way of non-limiting examples with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view showing a container closed by a two-layer cover according to the invention, the tab of the cover being raised;
  • Figure 2 is a partial sectional view on an enlarged scale according to Figure II-II of Figure 1;
  • Figure 3 is a view similar to Figure 2 but showing the container being opened;
  • Figure 4 is a partial sectional view on an enlarged scale similar to Figure 2 but showing a cover with three layers;
  • Figure 5 is a schematic and partial top view of the cover visible in Figure 4; and
  • Figure 6 is a top view similar to Figure 5 but showing an alternative embodiment of the cover with three layers.

Figures 1 and 2 show a seal fixed by sealing on the rim 1 delimiting the entry of a container 2 made of preferably plastic.

This cover comprises a first layer 3 fixed by through an adhesive agent 4 to a second layer 5 itself fixed on the rim 1 of the container via a sealant 6.

The sealant 6 used has an appropriate composition so that the cover can be fixed cold or hot on the rim 1 of the container and be removed by peeling whatever the sealing mode of the lid.

The first layer 3 includes a cutout 7 defining a gripping tab 8 and adheres to the second layer 5 with a force which is greater than that which secures the cover on the rim 1 of the container.

Thus, when one exerts on the tongue 8 a traction in order to open container 2, layers 3 and 5 are not likely to to split.

The tongue 8 has a root 9 through which it is connected to the first layer, a free end 10 opposite its root, and two longitudinal sides 11 connecting its free end and its root.

In the example shown in Figures 1 and 2, the cutout 7 is made so that a hole 12 extends in front of the free end 10 of the tongue 8 and allows a more gripping easy of the latter.

On notera ici qu'il est souhaitable qu'il n'y ait pas d'agent adhésif 4 entre les couches 3 et 5 à l'aplomb de la languette afin que celle-ci puisse être facilement séparée de la couche 5 sous l'action d'une traction exercée vers le haut à partir de son extrémité libre 10.Note here that it is desirable that there is no agent adhesive 4 between layers 3 and 5 below the tongue so that it can be easily separated from layer 5 under the action of an upward pull from its free end 10.

Note also that hole 12 could if necessary extend in front of at least one of the two longitudinal sides 11 of the tongue.

This other seal is in fact distinguished from that which has just been described in that it comprises a third layer 13 fixed to the first layer 3 by means of an adhesive 14 and having a hole 15 allowing easy access to the tab 8.

In the example shown in Figures 4 and 5, the hole 15 a the same dimensions as the cutout 7 made in the first layer 3, but nothing prevents it from being larger. In effect, it could for example reveal the first layer over a predetermined width along at least one of the two sides of the tongue 8.

As clearly shown in Figure 4, hole 15 in the third layer has one side just above the root 9 of the tab.

Risks of accidentally separating the tongue of the first layer 3 when a traction is exerted on it are thus completely avoided.

In FIGS. 4 and 5, the hole 15 made in the third layer 13 reveals the tongue 8. It could however be defined by a cut delimiting an additional tab partially or entirely covering the tongue 8. In this mode of realization, the additional tongue would be integral with the latter which would therefore be reinforced.

According to this variant, the tongue 8 extends in part at above the third layer 13, which makes it grip again easier.

In this particular embodiment, the third layer 13 covers an empty space corresponding to the extension on it of the tongue 8 as well as the hole 12 which was discussed about Figures 1 to 3.

Finally, it will be specified that layers 3, 5 and 13 can be in paper or aluminum or consist of a film of material plastic.
