Diese Zugkraft ist so groß, daß die Reibplatte nur unter Aufwendung einer sehr hohen Kraft wieder aus ihrer dargestellten in die angehobene Position gebracht werden kann. Um die Kraft zum Anheben der Reibplatte zu verringern, wird daher zuerst die Spanneinrichtung gelüftet, mit dem Ziel, das obere Bandende außer Eingriff mit dem Spannrad zu bringen und dadurch die zwischen der Reibplatte und dem Spannrad von dem oberen Bandende ausgeübten Kräfte abzubauen.After the welding point 41 has hardened, the device 10 must be removed laterally from the finished strapping. Man erkennt hier gut, daß die Trennplatte 16 zwar ein Stück weit vom Spannrad 13 abgehoben ist, das jedoch das obere Bandende 20 nach wie vor noch über ein wenn auch kleineres Bogenmaß mit dem Spannrad in Eingriff ist und von der Trennplatte 16 nicht ausreichend weit freigegeben wird, um außer Eingriff mit der rauhen Oberfläche des Spannrades zu kommen. Der erwünschte Effekt, nämlich die Aufhebung der von dem oberen Bandende auf die Reibplatte 19 wirkenden Kraft, wird daher bei einer Anordnung gem. Die Reibplatte kann dann leicht in an sich bekannter Weise mit Hilfe eines nicht dargestellten Kipphebelgetriebes und eines dieses betätigenden Stö- ßels 42 angehoben werden und den Spalt 23 freigeben. In Fig. 4a ist als Entsperrelement 32 eine Schraubenzugfeder 43 angedeutet, die das Trennelement 15 beim Lüften der Verschließeinrichtung 11 aus seinen wirksamen Eingriffsbereich unterhalb des Spannrades zieht, wenn durch das Abheben der Andruckplatte 14 der keilförmige Spalt 39 weit genug geöffnet ist, um die Trennplatte freizugeben.
