  • the closed condition of the valve 22 not only allows withdrawal of the intermediate but allows use of conventional intermediates (without internal channel) or punches not requiring intermediates. Indeed, in these cases the jaw 14 behaves like a conventional jaw and operation under pneumatic control of the other positions of the press is not affected because closing of the hole 20 prevents falling of the fluid pressure.
  • FIGS 8 and 8a show a second version of the valve 32 and specifically a valve with automatic operation.
  • the valve is again structured like that of FIGS 7 and 7a except that the cylinder 31' is free to traverse in the chamber 37 and is pressed rightward by a spring 40.
  • the rod 41 on which the cylinder 31' is fastened has its right end which in closed position of the valve (cylinder 31' pressed by the spring against the ring 30) emerges from the hole 20, while the same end when it is brought level with the outlet edge of the hole puts the valve in open position (FIG 8a).
  • This automatic opening and closing system of the valve 22 requires use of a clever device if it is desired to use the jaw 14 for clamping conventional intermediates or punches not requiring intermediates. Indeed, in this case it is necessary to avoid operation of the valve by these tools.
  • This can be secured by providing a projection 42 near the seal 26 and a corresponding recess (step 43 of FIG 8a) in the intermediate with channel.
  • This device has the effect of allowing operation of the valve by the intermediates in accordance with the present invention and of preventing operation when conventional intermediates or punches not requiring intermediates are used. Indeed, in the latter case as illustrated in FIGS 9 and 9a the projection 42 prevents operation of the valve by the tool on which the jaw 14 is clamped and this way the valve is always in closed position.
  • Said variants could concern for example the groove 21 which could be replaced or accompanied by a similar groove located on the intermediate 13 and at the level of the hole 19. In addition this groove could be missing if lateral traversing is not provided for the intermediates.
  • cutoff valve as regards its structural features and its position not necessarily near the hole 20 or in the intermediate clamping jaw. This possibility of different position is valid in particular for the manually operated valve with independent feed of each jaw.

Claims (6)

  1. Presse-plieuse d'un système de commande pneumatique pour fixation rapide d'outils, dans laquelle il y a des rangées de poinçons et de matrices et des éléments modulaires consistant en pièces intermédiaires (13), mâchoires (14) pour bloquer des pièces intermédiaires et mâchoires (29) pour bloquer des poinçons, ces dernières étant actionnées par des actionneurs entraînés par des vérins pneumatiques (9), caractérisée en ce que :
    a) dans les pièces intermédiaires (13) et les mâchoires (14) qui verrouillent les pièces intermédiaires au curseur de la presse, il y a des canaux (15, 16) pour fournir du fluide sous pression au vérin actionneur (9) ;
    b) les canaux conduisent à deux trous (19, 20) ayant des orifices mutuellement opposés s'ouvrant sur des faces opposées de chaque paire de pièces intermédiaires (13) et de mâchoires de blocage associées (14) ; et
    c) dans le circuit d'alimentation de fluide sous pression vers chaque pièce intermédiaire est insérée une soupape (22) conçue pour intercepter le débit de fluide vers la pièce intermédiaire.
  2. Presse-plieuse selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que, sur au moins l'une des deux surfaces opposées de chaque paire de pièces intermédiaires et de mâchoires de blocage associées, l'orifice du trou associé comprend une rainure (21) courant horizontalement dans la surface et positionnée au même niveau que le trou (19, 20) s'ouvrant sur la surface opposée.
  3. Presse-plieuse selon la revendication 2, caractérisée en ce que la rainure susmentionnée courant horizontalement est entourée d'une seconde rainure dans laquelle un joint (26) de matériau élastique est scellé, conçu pour assurer un scellement du fluide sous pression quand la pièce intermédiaire et la mâchoire de blocage associée sont fixées l'une à l'autre.
  4. Presse-plieuse selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que la soupape (22) susmentionnée est actionnée manuellement.
  5. Presse-plieuse selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisée en ce que la soupape (22) susmentionnée est actionnée automatiquement et est mise en état de fermeture ou d'ouverture quand la mâchoire (14) dans laquelle elle est située est bloquée sur la pièce intermédiaire associée (13) ou respectivement décalée de celle-ci.
  6. Presse-plieuse selon la revendication 5, caractérisée en ce que, dans chaque mâchoire de blocage intermédiaire, se trouve une saillie (42) sur la surface conçue pour se fermer contre la pièce intermédiaire, conçue pour être insérée lors du blocage dans un évidement correspondant (43) de la surface opposée de la pièce intermédiaire de façon à éviter l'ouverture de la soupape susmentionnée quand la mâchoire est bloquée contre des outils ne comportant pas l'évidement susmentionné.
