Claims (10)

    un corps (12) comprenant une extrémité ouverte (20) destinée à recevoir un plongeur d'un applicateur, le corps comprenant aussi une ouverture de sortie (22) et une chambre allongée (14) s'étendant entre l'extrémité ouverte et l'ouverture de sortie, la chambre comprenant une première section (26) adjacente à l'extrémité ouverte et une deuxième section (28) adjacente à l'ouverture de sortie, la première section présentant une certaine aire de section transversale essentiellement constante transversale à l'axe longitudinal de la chambre lorsque l'on se rapproche de l'ouverture de sortie, la deuxième section présentant une certaine aire de section transversale essentiellement constante transversale à l'axe longitudinal de la chambre lorsque l'on se rapproche de l'ouverture de sortie qui est plus petite que ladite certaine aire de section transversale essentiellement constante de la première section, et la section transversale de la deuxième section étant plus proche de celle de l'ouverture de sortie que celle de la première section; et
    un piston allongé (16) reçu de façon coulissante dans la chambre (14), le piston comprenant une partie de tête (34), une partie de queue (36), la partie de queue présentant une face arrière destinée à entrer en contact avec le plongeur de l'applicateur, la partie de queue, y compris la face arrière, étant reçue dans la première section, et la partie de tête étant reçue dans la deuxième section, et une tige (38) qui interconnecte la partie de tête et la partie de queue, la tige présentant une aire de section transversale dans une section transversale à l'axe longitudinal du piston qui est plus petite que l'aire de section transversale de la partie de tête et de la partie de queue dans une section transversale à l'axe longitudinal du piston.
  2. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la partie de tête (34) comprend un segment (40) présentant une aire de section transversale dans des sections transversales à l'axe longitudinal du piston qui est approximativement identique à ladite certaine aire de section transversale essentiellement constante de la deuxième section (28) de la chambre (14).
  3. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la partie de queue (36) présente une aire de section transversale dans des sections transversales à l'axe longitudinal du piston qui est approximativement identique à ladite certaine aire de section transversale essentiellement constante de la première section (26) de la chambre (14).
  4. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la cartouche comprend une buse de décharge (24) connectée au corps (12) et entourant l'ouverture de sortie (22).
  5. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la partie de tête (34) du piston (16) présente un segment avant conique (42).
  6. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 1 comprenant une quantité de composition dentaire (18) dans la deuxième section (28) de la chambre (14) entre la partie de tête (34) du piston (16) et l'ouverture de sortie (22).
  7. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 2, dans laquelle le diamètre du segment (40) de la partie de tête (34) est suffisant pour établir un joint avec le corps (12) dans la deuxième section (28) de la chambre (14) lorsque le piston (16) est déplacé dans une direction qui l'éloigne de l'extrémité ouverte (20).
  8. Cartouche de distribution selon la revendication 4, dans laquelle la buse de décharge (24) présente un axe longitudinal qui s'étend en formant un angle aigu par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de la chambre (14).
  9. Cartouche de distribution selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 8, dans laquelle le corps (12) comprend une bride (32) qui entoure l'extrémité ouverte (20) pour retenir de façon détachable la cartouche dans un applicateur.
  10. Procédé de distribution d'une composition dentaire, comprenant les étapes consistant à :
    fournir une cartouche (10) comprenant une chambre (14) présentant une première section globalement cylindrique (26) et une deuxième section globalement cylindrique (28), le diamètre de la deuxième section étant inférieur au diamètre de la première section, et un piston allongé (16) reçu de façon coulissante dans la chambre (14), le piston comprenant une partie de tête (34), une partie de queue (36) et une tige (38) qui interconnecte la partie de tête et la partie de queue, la tige présentant une aire de section transversale dans une section transversale à l'axe longitudinal du piston qui est plus petite que l'aire de section transversale de la partie de tête et de la partie de queue dans une section transversale à l'axe longitudinal du piston;
    placer la cartouche dans un réceptacle d'un applicateur manuel (50); et
    faire avancer un plongeur (66) de l'applicateur jusqu'à ce qu'il appuie directement sur la partie de queue (36) du piston située dans la première section de la chambre et déplace le piston, de telle sorte que la partie de tête (34) du piston située dans la deuxième section de la chambre pousse une composition dentaire (18) dans la deuxième section de la chambre à travers une ouverture de sortie (22), l'aire de section transversale de la deuxième section étant plus proche de celle de l'ouverture de sortie que celle de la première section.
